How is this embezzlement? They are literally trying to charge him with the lightest charge possible.
Cops involved in criminal acts should NOT be allowed to escape judgement by resigning.
Or allowed to work in a different state or county.
Who said he's escaping judgement by resigning?
Do you live under a rock? Cops are going to prison all across the country.
Politicians too.
@@MrCryptoChris Hillary never resigned. She just didn't get elected.
They let him resign, what a joke . Fire him and lock him up
They have to protect the integrity of the job!🤦🏼♂️🤦🏽♂️ What a joke!
Well, there was an active investigation going on. Presumed innocent until proven guilty, right?
Soon he'll be working at another department.
@@meatpopsicle1567 You and I are presumed guilty and must prove our innocence in our new America (Civil Asset Forfeiture) but a thieving cop simply resigns and gets another job a county over. Injustice System.
Well he's on unpaid leave and has charges, what else do you want?
Not only this car but all his cases needs to be investigated and now the whole department
This is unlikely to be his first theft, nor his first lies
Also his financial records.
My question is, what else has this officer been doin with the power of his badge during his time as a policeman?
He was likely advised to quit so internal affairs wouldn’t further investigate him
@@BeComingNyrell He was able to resign. How is it that when corrupt and tyrannical cops do something SO egregious, they're allowed to Resign, aka, GET PAID TO QUIT?
@@BeComingNyrell exactly, the investigation gets closed and there's no risk of exposing any other criminal activity in the department.
Can only imagine
Excalty!
He was counting on the arrestee not being believed
They almost didn’t believe him! That whole body cam footage is weird. The lady keeps changing the subject when the victim is saying what he saw, the biker cop is the one who placed the money in the passenger seat of the squad car, and they really took their time just checking the area that he said the money was in at the beginning of the interaction.
Yup!
@@EverydayWithBobby yeah it's called "the thin blue line" syndrome. Or perhaps, I should have said gang.
@@EverydayWithBobby Well, no one ever lies to the cops. Right? Everyone always tells the truth. Right?

Can you imagine all the times he didn't get caught?😮
15 years on the job.
This is why body cams are important, to protect cops and civilians, but also catch crooked cops
Reposting stolen comments again 😏
It doesn't do any good to 'catch' crooked cops if you just let them resign so they can go to another town. He needs to be charged, tried and, if found guilty, sent to jail.
he turned his off...
@@esils You doing the same I see.
@@Colorado_Native Um, he's being charged. Please try to keep up.
The DA should charge him with armed robbery.
They are both part of the gang
This wasn't "armed robbery".
@@franklinterrell9392Didn't the criminal cop have his loaded gun when he robbed the man??
It is theft. Robbery is when forced or threat of force was used. He just took some money from the car that is theft and under a grand so not grand theft.
@@franklinterrell9392 The hell it wasn't. He was armed.
He can't just resign after stealing a $1000 bucks, he should face justice like everybody else. If there is true justice system, he should stand before a judge.

Now the guy needs to sue the city
Sue the city for what? The money was found and given back to him and the cop resigned, I think they should've fired him but anyway, I don't believe he has any grounds to sue the city
Why? Lawyers are expensive and they'll happily take his money for a losing case.
How can a whole city be liable for one person's actions. If the cop has zero integrity that's on himself. People can pass tests and be charming but their true character will show when nobody is looking. Suing a city has no purpose
@@Dahmer_Jeff because you voters let them have qualified immunity
Why? What were his damages? He got his money, the thieving cop was arrested and lost his job…. Why should the taxpayers get shafted with a lawsuit ?
What!?!?
A dirty cop?!?!
No way!!
Yeah, well at least there was only one, and now the world is safe, since he resigned...
.... This happened to my uncle years back. He had sold his truck earlier in the day for 4k cash. He was stopped by the police later that day and they stole his money.
USA so safe and prosperous tho 🙄
Well I always stamp my cash
@SUGAR_XYLER it can still be stolen and spent.
They need to fire the female too for trying to cover for him!
Got him red handed lol
I bet his heart dropped when the guy suggested searching the door lol! Had the guy not been persistent they wouldn't have even checked. Had it been anyone else stealing on the job, we would have been arrested and fired on the spot.
He was arrested and charged with a felony as soon as they went inside and interviewed him.
@@SilencedByUA-cam oh good!!

@@SUGAR_XYLERno he needs to not be in law enforcement as well as others who are like him or try to aid in him not getting caught

The fact the department worked so hard to keep the bodycam hidden is the worst and most unacceptable part of this entire thing. No profession is free of scumbags, it's apart of life. But what isn't apart of life is everyone trying to cover it up.
Officer.Sticky Fingers😂😂
The fact that the officer was allowed to resign instead of being immediately fired says everything I need to know about policing.
Usually your side hustle starts when your shift ends, not during it.
Every arrest he ever made needs to be investigated. This was by no way the first time.
Threw away his career for $900. What a POS.
He violated his oath.
He threw it away for a lot more than that unless you think this is the only time he’s mistreated a person that he arrested. I bet he has done this a great deal more.
@@meatpopsicle1567I’m sure the pos violated that oath more than this one time
@@patty109109 You could be right. Let's see how all this unfolds as they continue to investigate him.
Making 100K per year, big pension, health insurance, and stealing cash from prisoners ...WTF kinda idiots do they hire!?!?

This dirty cop will NOT face the consequences that you or I would if we stole under protection of a badge. And his fellow officers are in on the fix as they won't speak out against this behavior. How's this working for you America? Lastly, he'll just get hired by another agency who knows about this incident. In fact, his chief will make calls and help him line up a job. Anyone dispute what I'm saying. If so, man up and speak up.
The DA will charge him for sure or there will be public outcry
Doubt it. This is getting the necessary publicity and he will likely be facing a judge for this sometime in the future.
He was charged with Felony embezzlement. What are you talking about?
And in addition to the felony embezzlement charge, he remains under active investigation so there may be more charges to come.
This isn’t the first time. He just got caught this time.
Why did the officer resign if he didn’t do it? 🧐
resigning while under investigation, usually doesn't get communicated to the next department. Termination for theft would. Resign and the investigation ends. He's hoping to beat the criminal charges and continue his career in thuggery with a badge.
@@patricktrimble7954 No, resignation does not automatically halt an investigation, especially if it involves a felony crime. Where did you get that notion?
@@meatpopsicle1567 Talking about IA investigation, not criminal investigation.
@@patricktrimble7954 This case has gone beyond IA, so your post was moot.
@@meatpopsicle1567 No your comment is ignorant and uninformed. IA investigations end when officers resign because IA is interested in policy violations which can lead to employment discipline. I don't know how that guy in custody remained so calm. That guy showed them cops nothing but respect. In his situation, I don't think I could show any cop any respect after being robbed by one of them.

The man had to take care of business since the other officers weren't going to.
How were they supposed to know? It's not like people under arrest have never lied to them before all this.
