This mini sling is my first Bellroy product and I’m very happy with it. So my essentials consist of my keys, wallet, packet of wet wipes, small FAK and my mask. It’s comfortable and the compression straps work great.
There's a specific way to detach the fidlock magnetic clasps. They don't come off crazy easily but obviously not 100% theft proof. Hope that makes it clearer :) - Ed

The material is reasonably dense to begin with, but I don't think there is any extra padding to help with impact protection (apart from the back panel padding for comfort). Hope that helps - Ed
Hi I find your reviews to be great n informative. I’m thinking of investing in a Bellroy backpack mainly to use for carrying my camera with a telephoto lense , a water bottle etc mainly on day trips. I would also want the back pack to be able to fit into my check in baggage .My question is whether to go for a classic 2nd edition or a Bellroy lite back pack. Many Thanks 🙏🏽
I've been carrying a Maxpedition Fatboy Slim for decades now. Before that I was a fanny pack guy, so I'm not knocking the bag, but how is this not just a fanny pack slung over the shoulder. It's so ridiculous that everyone tries so hard to NOT have a fanny pack. Why? Because the cool kids said it was "gay"? Can we all agree to grow up and move on? No. Clearly not yet.

Now that they offer the Venture sling, I’d recommend it if you want a larger crossbody bag and then the sling mini if you want something more compact

Have you tried wearing it around waist?
Not really, not my preferred choice of sling carry. But I don't think it's made for waist carry actually. Not this one at least.

The magnetic clasp is not too secure ! a thief can open it easily and stole your bag in the public
