Thanks for including Franklin and Luna go to the Moon ☺ Glad you enjoyed it. It's the second in a trilogy (though you can read them in any order); the first is Franklin's Flying Bookshop and the third is Franklin and Luna and the Book of Fairy Tales. xx
I just came across this now and wanted to thank you so much for your wonderfully kind words about "Flashlight Night!" It was a joy to write, and it makes me so happy to know folk are enjoying reading it. (And to be included on a list with such fantastic company, no less!)
Great book choices! As a writer, I love to see how an artist takes my words and interprets them into a visual display. This goes both for feature stories, where I work with a graphic artist, and for children's books, where I work with an illustrator.
The marriage of art and language is why picture books are so dear to my heart as well ♥️ I think Gaston might need to find it’s way to a certain set of grandbabies this Christmas 🥰 I don’t care sounds lovely. ☺️
Have you read The Storyteller’s Handbook created by Elise Hurst, Forward by Neil Gaiman? Not so much a story but pictures that inspire you to write your own story. It is so fabulously beautiful 😻. Thank you for another great coffee ❤
Beautiful video. Adding I Don’t Care to my wishlist. If you haven’t seen/ read Grandpas Window yet I recommend that one. Little girl dealing with end of life of her Grandfather and it’s so beautiful and poignant.
Oh also “the story of And: the little word that changed the world by Sandy Eisenberg Sasso. Probably my favorite picture book right now. Colorful playful and powerful
Wonderful! Barnabus is a favorite! Have you tried Bear by Staffan Gnosspelius? No words, just a sweet story about friends using only pictures. (Even though I keep recommending books you've already read, I'm gonna keep trying to reciprocate by making them 🙂)

Jen! I had such a fangirl moment! Thank you for watching the video. Your picture book is truly excellent! :)
The best children's books you should buy

Awe!! I feel kind of shy about you watching my video. Thanks for creating such a lovely book. ☺️
@@Shellyish Well, I'll keep writing, if you keep reviewing, ha! ;) Thanks again, and have a very happy, healthy new year!

Gaston is so cute! Made me laugh! The illustrations are so silly.
Shelly, I love your passion and insight about these books!
Oh thank you!
All seven of these are completely new to me, which is exciting! Thank you very much for this recommendation video!
You're so welcome!
I love Gaston and Antoinette too. Silly and also heartwarming.
So cute, right! :)

I'll definitely have to look both those titles up.

HA! I think Bear is new to me. I'll have to check if my library has it. Thank you!
Do you take requests for books to review?
Not really.
