I remember this was the first video I saw from you, 4 years ago. You introduced me into Irish music, and I really thank you for that. Oh, man, how I wish a remake of this set with higher quality.
I still play this set all the time. Back when I was messing around with screechy soprano D whistles, this was the video that showed me there was something better out there. I'm still trying to get my brother or my wife to learn rhythm guitar so we can be awesome too, but no luck yet.
This is some Golden Age UA-cam material, right here. Low video bitrate, crunchy audio, a title that's as far from clickbait as you can get, and near superhuman musicianship.
Your page is GREAT, im a Galician Piper, and i love to play some irish tunes in the pipes, your info is excelent to learn more about the irish mood in music... Thank You
In short breaks from working, just listen to this. It is like standing on top of a mountain, breathing in the cold fresh air and feeling this pure energy flowing!!!
Well today after over a year of playing the C and High D I bought my first low whistle, this video was one of several main reasons for doing it. I can only hope with time I will get as good, because this sounds just plain awesome. Thanks guys, its an inspiring and beautiful vid.
@Vampgurl184 The best place to buy them is from the manufacturer at kerrywhistles com. It costs 165 GBP including shipping. This is a professional instrument. If you're a beginner you can start with something more simple. There's plenty low whistles on Ebay starting from $30. They're not that good as Chieftain but should be good enough for your needs.
Jaysys great set lads, very impressed.. I like the way Irish trad music is played around the world...excellent.. You come to Ireland during the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, people playing in pubs and on the street....You would love it
@StevenFHP I am a metal bassman myself, folk metal being my favorite metal genre, and I got myself one of those very inexpensive tin whistles. It's great fun, you can carry it everywhere and everyone seems to enjoy it, especially around a campfire.
This video made me want a tin whistle back when I was 18 years old. Now, at 30 I’ve finally bought one. And I should have done it sooner. It’s so much fun to play and learn. And still, to this day, the first tune you play is something I need, must, HAVE to figure out. Also I would like to point out that everyone is sleeping on how dope the guitar player is. He’s amazing as well.
@TinWhistler I've been running sound for various folks since high school, and I've never had a problem with a Shure mic. If you're wanting to keep it cheap, check out the Shure PG42-LC. My vocalist friend swears by the Shure KSM32/SL. Great music!

+Funes -kvn Just came back here too. I got into Irish/Celtic music because of this exact video as well!

if a guy came up to me and played this song for me, i would marry him on the spot. srsly, most beautiful instrument ever.
Creo que en la vida me cansaré de este video
Your bro's gotten so much better on guitar and you still rock on the whistle. Good job fellas.

This shows how great music can be made with a few simple instruments.

Well played - great breath control on an instrument that's the devil to blow in the lower register.
