Really cool profile on this figure. I've fallen down a Mego rabbit hole on UA-cam recently. Haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet but Batman would probably be first on the list.
I would love to see/have the Montgomery Ward Peter Parker. I used some Mego Archie clothes and a Mego Superman head. I remember as a kid, I traded a Mego Batman cowl for a complete loose Mego Spider-man figure, I thought I got the better end, now I'm not so sure. Thanks for the video.
There was a pale yellow soapy or chalky looking plastic Batman belt which I think was either first or made at the same time as the translucent version - also, never touch original Mego fabric with your bare fingers ! Imagine waking up one day to find finger print shaped blobs all over your once pristine Mego - the dyes they used were very unstable and react to the acids and oils in your skin
Did Batman, or the original four, come on the type O body? I've added quite a few Action Jackson's to my collection and have a few with type O bodies and I assume the original run of World's Greatest Super-Heroes would have used remaining A.J. bodies. The Fisherman boots went onto Action Jackson feet unobstructed, due to the bib overalls ending at the knees. No socks with that set. MEGO was always trying to save a buck. My favorite Batman is the MEGO Comic Action Heroes Batman. Got him, Robin and the Batmobile in the late 70's. I remember playing with it at my Grandmother's house and being so happy to have something to do while my Dad visited. Awesome part of the Toy Room of Insanity and glad you gave us another look at this legendary action figure.
So it is said that the first 4 did come on the type-O bodies. as well as the type-1. I believe that the very first run of the first 4 had to be on the type-O.
So mine match up with your's but the one I have is on a type 1 body and I noticed yours is on an O type. I am not sure if this is because I live in Canada or why its different
It is said that when these figures first came out in the solid boxes they had the type O body. My understanding is that most of the fab 4 first release figures were done on the type 1 body
Many great toys in my childhood...but this is my favorite.
Glad you dig him!
Great vid. Had that figure and did not require anything else for Christmas... Luv em
Heck yah man!

Wow good videos
Thanks a lot!
Why would anyone care if you used a repro box in your video? It's not like you were trying to sell it....
I hear you. There has been a few people in past who brought up that I did not mention that my box was repro.
