    I found that hair has a 4 year cycle. During that time there is going to be a time when your hair grows a lot. The key is to know when the heavy grow part of it happens and not cut it during that.

    Your hair looks bomb! I actually love the curly fro look over super defined ! Im about 2 years and 6 months natural and my hair has definitely changed it’s so hard for me to get a super define Wash and go now ...(but I don’t mind). Time flies though I’ve been watching since the beginning

      @Fashionarily  4 роки тому +15

      And that’s ok to feel like that! It’s all a new change and you are not use to seeing yourself like this. If you can, try to hold off on buying a wig and embrace yourself. But do not restrict yourself from wearing them. Just don’t relay on a wig to boost your self esteem. You got this!

    Thank you SO much for these videos! YOU inspired me to shave my head this January. 5 months later I seem to be at the same growth rate as you were, not to mention that we have very similar textures. These give me hope and knowledge about the future of my hair. Thank you once again. :)

    I haven’t fully finished the video but I had to stop mid way to say your video gives me hope. I shaved all my hair off 2 days ago because I was tired of the breakage and it was not growing. Watching this video and the one before just made me so happy because I have the straight/curly hair texture and in my eyes that was bad because no one else had it. I never saw youtubers talk about that type of texture and it was so difficult to work with my hair because I didn’t understand my hair so watching this video makes me hopeful that I’ll be able to watch this and pick up a few tips and learn what’s best for my hair once it grows in.

    I totally agree, some hair grows better with little to no manipulation. I wanted to do my hair in different twist outs etc as I grew it out but it would seem to never grow pass a certain length. After wearing protective styles for a while and moisturizing, I found my hair would flourish. Great video! Your hair is beautiful!

  • @ShootingStar466

    Your hair is lovely! I am 6 months post relaxer and I have 4b hair and a bit of 4a round the nape, but I am sooooo tempted to chop, having the two textures is so annoying! I have a bit of traction alopecia at the nape which puts me off big chopping yet as I want my hair to be long enough to cover it up a bit. I have applied for a job which is going to be working from home due to the Covid-19 so if I get it, I will defo big chop as I won't have to go to work or style it too much! I am so tired of usuing my conditioners on the relaxed hair as well, feels like I am just wasting money and my relaxed ends have become so limp and stringy. I can't wait to be free!

    • @Fashionarily
      @Fashionarily  4 роки тому +2

      India T Just to answer your other questions real quick, the twists would last about 2 months and I would retwist the perimeter every 2 weeks for the 2 months. To keep my hair fresh I used water, aloe vera juice, and a little apple cider vinegar throughout the 2 months. I followed a this lovely lady on UA-cam. I didn’t follow her advice to the T but this is were I got the idea. She didn’t shampoo her hair but I still did every 2 months.
