What a beautiful documentary. The chef's kiss is that it was narrated and presented by Eduardo Strauch. His dignity and grace shines through when he speaks. I am continually in awe of them...the survivors. I love the survivors thrived and tried to give back to the life they left for 72 days. To Eduardo dear sweet man, thank you for your courage and strength in making the trek back up to the crash site as often as you have. Your brothers and sisters await you every time to take back with you their love and enrichments of spirit. You and the "Society" are a gift to us. Thank you for surviving and continuing to tell your story.
Every single time I see this story, it gives my depressed self hope...no matter how messed up things are...the time to give up is only when you cannot physically move. RIP to those who did not make it home.
Absolutely gorgeous video you have made! I also traveled to Mt Seler in 2016 with Eduardo and Ricardo. A life-changing experience after living with this story of love in my head for 40 years. Great work, Kudos!!
18:25 I loved the before And now photos of the survivors nice touch with adding it during the repeating of their names part of the story. Hearing their names being called brings tears to my eyes. Can you imagine how you would feel hoping to hear the name of your loved one?.
Reminds me of "Society of the Snow" where Carlitos playing his father, Carlos Paez Vilaro, says them in the film. This story always brings me to tears of sadness and happiness. I know I smile every time I see one of the survivors talking about this. Eduardo in this video is beautiful and serene.
I remember all this year's ago ...got the book read it enjoyed it even saw the film.. Incredible achievement... Incredible people against all the odds ...they survived..and came through... Proud of you lads .. I am just a bit younger than yourselves...and salute you. Nice complementary video... Yes, respect to the ones who are not here...and respect to what they gave... They can RIP...they will RIP...for they have achieved more..
I hope to visit the museum one day. Ive bought every book possible & feel so pulled by the experiences on a spiritual level. One lesson to learn if in this situation is to burn the tires on the plane to send a signal when being searched for
That was absolutely fantastic beautifully put together. As a fan and collector of more than 30 years, this was as good a mini-documentary as you'll ever see on this one-off incident.! LOVED IT! THANK YOU CHRIS.........
No one can know what they experienced together but we can take away what they can teach us about love and life. Im sad about their suffering but I yield to their truth and what they discovered on that mountain so many years ago. Bless all of you.❤
The life advice he gives at 20:28 is the best advice anyone could give anyone else, even for those that are single (as there are many nowadays). Be at peace with yourself, and in as far as possible, try to be peaceful with all you come across. Challenging at times but in as far as possible.
