I really enjoyed your podcast episode! The cushion looks stunning. Also I am very happy that the quality of the sound is so much nicer than in older videos. Looking forward to more podcast episodes ☺️

I enjoyed hearing your thoughts behind the title of your channel. Looking forward to more episodes. The suri is making me want to try a single strand pattern. Deep in Christmas gift projects currently so as to not be stressed and enjoy some winter knitting when the season arrives.

thank you!! and hahah, i really named it this because i don't want to let loose the perfectionist in me and end up polishing things too much 🥰
that's so smart (and noble/kind!!) of you to start christmas knitting already, wishing you all the speed and zero wrist aches 🤍

I looove your colour choices for that cushion cover! Also, i still cannot see the issue with the tank short rows 😂 That yarn colour suits you so well though, i might steal that idea and knit one myself in that colour! I can’t wait for your next podcast 💕

thank youuu!! 💕 the tank truly is really bunchy and too long in the front, i swear! 😂 i showed it to my friend irl yesterday and she does believe me now too, so i think i'll actually just go ahead and re-knit the bust section with less short rows 😳 also, technically you wouldn't be stealing my idea, as i based mine on a ravelry project i found when looking up that exact color of the yarn 👀 soooo stunning i just had to cast one on myself, so i feel you 🥰

Just subscribed to your channel. I love seeing all your work - it's all beautiful. I was never really drawn to the Blouse No. 1 pattern but after seeing your and hearing you talk about the yarn, I may give it a try - thanks for the inspiration. Love your mods to the Birkin Polo, you did a wonderful job.

Thanks for a lovely video!! I also used the tynn line for blouse no 1 and could not get gauge on 5mm. Unfortunately I made mine a little too big and would definitely prefer the fit of yours. You mentioned using 4 mm needles, did you size down or knit your recommended size? Thanks so much!!

    • @candidknit

aw that's so sweet of you, thank you for watching! i actually did knit the recommended size, as i hit gauge exactly with 4mm. so sad to hear you're less satisfied with how yours turned out though 🥺

Haven't knit the 9pm tank, however, knowing a bit about clothing construction my take on your conundrum is, your darts are too long.
I've never knit a top down item so my "guess" is you may have started your short rows too soon, as well as, continued them too far. Looking at the pattern instructions again after re-measuring your vital body markers may give you the proper information for the fit you need.
I've noticed many patterns for top down construction ask for 'high breast' measurements as the one to determine your proper size__maybe that's what was required here but somehow you missed(?).
I'm just guessing all this cuz I don't have the pattern so, take my suggestions as just that. 😛 😺
Hope you figure it out and it works up the way you like. 💖🙌😺

i thought the exact same thing about the short rows going too far! although it seemed to me when i analyzed the problem that the pattern instructed me to do them too late and too far... i checked multiple times and i followed the pattern to a T, so really no clue what went wrong there!!
i ended up first knitting them less far, and then eliminating them alltogether because i didn't like that look either 😅
the front comes a bit short now, so maybe not listening to the pattern instructions and starting higher and not doing as many short rows would have been a better idea, but i'm happy with the finished look nonetheless ✨
thanks for sharing your thoughts!! appreciate you 💕🥰

Beautiful pillow! What did you use to plan/draw the design?

thank you!! i use goodnotes for all my patterns, and then you can add a note page to it or start a new note for the drawings! it's also just really handy to have all my patterns in one online space that's accessible on all of my devices
