"I have two centuries walked this earth and can report you have no twin. No one as angry...as stubborn...as unaccommodating...as maddening...as loving...as dedicated...as thoughtful...as imperfectly perfect as you've become. You're a challenge every sunset, Saint Louis, and I'd have it no other way." Is there anyone more unabashedly romantic than Lestat? No wonder Louis would later describe their love as "the well with no bottom." ❤
Lestat really cares for and is in love with Louis….”you’ve been skipping meals, don’t think I haven’t noticed” as he wipes his tears, then proceeds to tell Louis all the reasons he loves him💕😘
One of my favourite scenes. And one of the few truly tender moments we get to see, where Lestat is actually taking care of Louis both physically and emotionally. With no malice, no manipulation, no secrets. This is why Louis - and the audience - can't help but love Lestat.
Lestat really loves Louis unconditionally, and also spoils him rotten. Being a newborn vampire Louis was grieving his human life and had plenty of growing up to do by vampire standards. Took him over a century to realize how good Lestat really was to him, especially since Lestat is within his rights as a vampire to kill his fledglings at any time.
Without a doubt the best vampire romance show I have ever seen. My God! Lestât is entrancing and the chemistry between these two is indeed supernatural 😍
Ahhh, the honeymoon phase.
The subtle acting is so good from both Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson
Yes. Like the way Sam looks down and even the slight change in his voice as he says "As I know you do," when he's talking about how Louis loves his family. We know that Lestat is super jealous and possessive and wants Louis to love nobody but him, so you can tell that as he says, there's distain there and resentment of the fact that Louis has more loved ones than just him. Subtle, but amazing for character building and consistency.
Why couldn't Lestat be like this always?! Ugh. I'm such a sucker for the toxicity, though.
Girl preach. Same.
I'm on ep 3 and I think I'll be the same 😞☠
Claudia and Louis were emotionally abusive to Lestat and ungrateful hypocrites. They had no respect for their maker. Lestat didn’t throw his power in their faces so they’d have a feeling of autonomy and what he got in return was petulant fits, disrespect and abandonment.
@yourkarma5392 What you said! I don't get why Lestat gets such a bad rep. He loved (?loves) Louis dearly only to be met with Louis and Claudia's bad attitudes.
I know. Is something wrong with us?
the is beautiful and toxic at the same time and both of them are GORGEOUS
Whose toxic?
Spoilers:
I just realized that lestat was right, here. Louis’ family did grow fearful of him, and his refusal to cut them away ended up with immense pain to both his sister and him. :,(( I cried in that scene (you know which one).
Initially, I did know that lestat was talking with reason, but I also thought that he was telling Louis that because he solely wanted the most of Louis’ love and for him to accept his true nature as a vampire. Instead of clinging on to his humanity. And while that still very much might be true, his words also ring true, and definitely come from his own experiences and struggles turning from human to vampire.
Ngl, I couldn't stand his family! Esp his mum who wrongfully blamed him for Paul's death and treated him badly for being with a man, but had no problems taking his money and living in the house that he provided. They were a bunch of ungrateful wretches imo.
"Saint Louis"😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I wish they had had more scenes like this
Just an observation… Lestat has lived an immortal life for hundreds of years compared to Louis, yeah? He has had time to mourn the loss of his familial ties? He has battled loneliness due to longevity but has won (in his mind) when he finds Louis. And one reason for not wanting to share Louis, the man he loves, so readily with others.
Louis becomes an immortal while under duress: due to his place in the world, grieving the loss of his brother Paul and Ms Lily. Saddened/depressed his mother blames him for his brother’s death. Having to witness his family die (mother) and eventually break from him ( sister and her family). Which is why I believe he doesn’t take to killing in a city where he once lived as an human and where his family ties remain whose humanness is the life line for individuals like him.
That being said, a lot is going on with the relationship and needs to be unpack at a later time.
Lestat has some nerve criticizing Louis for keeping close with his human family considering what Lestat does in the book lol He didn't exactly let his family go either.
@@AlcideIzMine yep totally agree with you
This was the most lovely scene!! You can feel that love but then also Louis' heartbreak.
I’m in love with Lestat for all the wrong reasons and I’m completely comfortable with it ❤
God I love them.
Sam Reid as Lestat he is so Gorgeous I am attractive to him.
Bitch I want someone to love me this much! Damn it! I want to love someone this much!!!
That was sweet of Lestat to comfort Louis. No doubt Lestat speaks from experience, he likely left his family after becoming a vampire.
Actually that's not the case
It's in fact his loved ones leaving him after he became a vampire. His back story is a tragedy after tragedy and when he says I don't like being abandoned trus me he comes from a place of deep deep traa and loneliness
Lol he didn't. He brought his own mother into the unlife with him because he loved her so much and couldn't let her go.
@@Meltorange to be fair she was dying but yeah, pretty much. He was a big-time mama’s boy. He still is technically she’s out there somewhere.
I love how lestat looks at loui when. He says bout him is lestat an actor or for real he was in armond theater so he can act
Dude will anyone love me like this 😭
Toxic. Lmao
Whose toxic ?
0:44 “You have no twin.” Oh to be loved so singularly and intensely as Louis is loved by Lestat. Minus the whole toxic sht of course 🥹😂
They’re so married 😭❤️
