What a charming kitchen! I love how the hob is positioned at a slanted wall, and the little patio outside is divine. The trend here in the US is for kitchens of high design but they are also so cookie-cutter: cream-color cabinets, granite or quartz countertops, etc. I much prefer a unique kitchen like yours.

It's set up to look like a little village in Germany and there is always a huge line for mulled wine. They have the most beautiful things for sale from vendors that come all the way from Germany, Austria and the Ukraine every year. I buy gorgeous hand blown glass ornaments there.

How I loved this video. First I was mesmerized by the top of the dresser you were filming in front of Kirsten. The musical paper chain was so charming plus the Santa card and lighting, exceptional. Kirsten I ended up decorating very country, I have a big sleigh 🛷 coffee table, an old 1920’s freezer box where they used to put big cubes of ice in the top, an old 1920’s dental cabinet where they used to put all the teeth lol! Anything old that has a story! My friend was throwing out an old 1880 oak table that seats 12 because of that we turned two little bedrooms into the dining room & our house is very tiny so I made it into a cozy pub. Also have a houser baking station with the old tin drawers for flour it’s just so cool! That’s why I love your UA-cam so much! It makes me feel calm & warm! Thank you both very much for this! Someone mentions Vienna in the comments. I lived there for a short while. Truly beautiful. Viennese homes/apartments seemed so draw dropping gorgeous at the time. The park was breathtaking, the theatre magical. I didn't want to come home and shed lots of tears. One of the most memorable times in my early career years. How I loved this video. First I was mesmerized by the top of the dresser you were filming in front of Kirsten. The musical paper chain was so charming plus the Santa card and lighting, exceptional. The gifts were perfect, especially the steamer. And thank you, Joerg, for the Mulled wine recipe. I fell in love with Gluhwein in Zurich and then again in Basil, so much so that bought a bottle here in the U.S. and it wasn't very good. Now I'll make your version for the cooler nights in Phoenix this holiday season.

Kirsten I ended up decorating very country, I have a big sleigh 🛷 coffee table, an old 1920’s freezer box where they used to put big cubes of ice in the top, an old 1920’s dental cabinet where they used to put all the teeth lol! Anything old that has a story! My friend was throwing out an old 1880 oak table that seats 12 because of that we turned two little bedrooms into the dining room & our house is very tiny so I made it into a cozy pub. Also have a houser baking station with the old tin drawers for flour it’s just so cool! That’s why I love your UA-cam so much! It makes me feel calm & warm! Thank you both very much for this! You always brighten my day!❤️🇨🇦

I agree! I bought a little steamer this year, and I threw away my iron. My nephew, who is 29, emailed me and said he wanted the Downton Abbey cookbook. Our kitchen chairs aren't actually vintage, we got them from Laura Ashley 2 years ago but they are such classics that they will never go out of style.
