As an American with a lot of ancestors from Germany-but a family uninterested in heritage/history-I can’t thank you enough for helping me learn what I’ve been yearning for, for so long. Slowly feeling closer to my beloved ancestors. ❤
If I'm having a tough week, I watch one of your videos and feel so much better!!! You are the sweetest couple on UA-cam! Loved the Christmas spirit and wonderful treasures!
Joerg looks so happy to have you home, I think he missed you very much Kirsten, but now you can both look forward to Christmas. Lots of memories with the decorations of my Grandmother's tree, looking forward to seeing your new ornaments on this years tree.
Kirsten I see how much you missed Yoerg because I see his hand on your hand like my husband does often with me.I wish you to be always happy together. Thank you for the beautiful Christmas decorations it makes me dream about my childhood
Two of my favorite things! Christmas and a Kirsten & Joerg video. The two combined makes me so happy!! Thanks for sharing your traditions. Such fun!!🎄❤
Thank you! There is nothing more magical or whimsical than a traditional German Christmas! We celebrate Yule on the Winter Solstice. In addition to handmade blown glass and wooden ornaments, our house (inside and out) is decorated with natural cedar bough greenery, wreaths, pine cones and acorns, mistletoe, holly and ivy. On the actual Solstice, we have no sources of artificial light, only candles, and real wood fires. Everything is handmade, and hand-decorated, including the food, sweets, and gifts. Each year, one special ornament is added to the tree. I still have several magnificent decorations from my childhood Christmas' in Germany.
I really enjoyed your video, which I watched today (Dec. 7th - a bit late), with all your lovely decorations and delicious food. I haven't tried some of those. I am partly Dutch so my traditional Christmas is a mixture of English and Dutch. We also have speculaas at Christmas and this year my cousins have sent me a chocolate letter in the shape of an S for Stella and some papernoten biscuits. These are eaten at SinterKlaas on Dec. 5th in Holland. My English traditions include listening to the 9 lessons and carols from Cambridge in the afternoon on Radio 4 at 3 pm on 24th, followed by mince pies, sausage rolls and Advocaat on Christmas Eve, preferably whilst watching a thriller film on TV. We leave a glass of milk and a mince pie on the grate for Father Christmas, in case he visits our house. Our Christmas tree decorations have been collected over the years and each one has a special significance. Every year we buy 2 or 3 new ones. This year is was a pair of angel wings because we lost our lovely cat this year. I will remember her each year when I dress the tree and put her wings on it. Thank you for sharing your traditions.
What gorgeous ornaments. We always have a multi colored tree, lights and ornaments. When our boys were young, we had two trees, a real one that we cut down, for our dinning room and an artificial one for our living room. For our real one, we would make our ornaments, colored paper chains, and home made cookies to hang on the tree. Most years, we had as is called here a Charlie Brown tree. Not a perfectly shaped tree and with holes within the branches. It would get decorated and it was beautiful to us.
My husband and I will be married 49 years in January. I have collected Christmas decorations from the first Christmas. Whenever we travel I always buy something new for Christmas. I also have a angle that was always on the top of my tree, when I was a little girl. Special memories like you have.
I absolutely love the calming tone of your voices after a stressful and chaotic day at work. I recently found your channel and am thoroughly enjoying learning about the UK, Germany, and you! Thank you for sharing.
Yes, my family here in Germany (Lower Saxony) decorates with lots of wooden art from the Erzgebirge: Pyramids, Schibbögen/candle archs in nearly every window, nutcrackers, smokers, miners and angels and the musical box which plays silent night. And of course we have a self-bound Advent wreath with four bee wax candles. A huge (villeroy&boch :-)) christmas plate has a place in the living room with Lebkuchen, Dominosteinen, Spekulatius, mazipan and lots of christmas cookies in many shapes baked and decorated by the children. The christmas tree we fell in the forrest and it gets red or white glasballs from Lauscha, straw stars and some Erzgebirge miniature hangers, but isn't too colorful. Outside the house we have the big Herrnhuter star. Now I am in a christmas mood. Thanks for your wonderful videos!
On my goodness your beautiful ornaments are just enchanting! I have been collecting old glass ornaments for many years and probably have some of the Krebs ornaments. If you are familiar with the Christopher Radio brand he purchased many of the old glass molds and recreated the old glass traditional ornaments. I have many many of those as well as the old Shiny Brite ones. A tree full of all the sparkling glass is just .......heavenly. I'm so happy there are people out there that still treasure the old traditional says of decorating for Christmas. Such beautiful memories. Thank you both for always sharing with us. You are a treasure!
Hello from Houston, Texas. You both are adorable, I am enjoying watching your videos. I never knew that the propeller on the wooden pyramids moved on their own by using candles. Now it makes sense, thank you.
I loved learning about the German traditions. My next door neighbor growing up had a pyramid and as a child I loved looking at it because it was not a familiar decoration.
50 years ago my husband and I were too poor to afford expensive ornaments for the tree, so we bought wooden ones and painted them ourselves. They are on our tree every year. We still love them and so do the grandkids.
Tradition for me is hanging all my grandparents' Christmas stuff on the Christmas tree. Like you, I like a traditional tree and the Christmas balls I have are very old, but I wouldn't trade them for anything. They bring back so many nice memories. The figurines for the nativity scene belong to my mom. I occasionally buy old Christmas balls that I find at flea markets or drift stores.
I have many ornaments and figurines that were my parents or that my parents gave me. They will always have a special place on our tree or placed around our home at Christmas. I cherish them. We have many beautiful German ornaments as our daughter worked in Germany for a couple years.
Me as a German I'm absolutely obsesesd with Raeuchermaennchen, we even have a Scots Man and a Fisher Man 😁😁. The stuff from the Erzgebirge is top notch, it's the cradle of christmas decoration. We have a huge pyramid and I can't wait to light it this year. Thanks Kirsten and Jörg 😘
You two are a sight for sore eyes and hearts, in the midst of our Covid crises. And your house is always so charming and decorated to perfection. You're changing me from a 'sloppy' painter into a more careful one!
You are very fortunate to have a husband that appreciates all those beautiful decorations. My husband is Cuban, he grew up during the revolution so they never really knew Christmas and he still asks me to thia day on which day Santa brings the gifts 🤣🤣🤣
I just loved this video, thank you Kirsten and Joerg! I love how Joerg enjoys tasting all the goodies; makes me smile every time. We are in Wisconsin, USA where it gets very cold so we actually already put up our lights outside but will not flip the switch on until the end of this month. Your video now put me in the mood to decorate inside but I will force myself to wait a bit longer. One of our favorite decorations and what our home is known for in our area are the candle lights in all the windows of our 3 story farmhouse. So cozy and inviting. Looking forward to your next video; I enjoy all of them!
Thanks so much Linda! Yes, it still extremely early for us too, it's only since we have our UA-cam channel that we decorate early as it would be too late otherwise.
So good to see you both in your lovely attic room. Thank you for showing us the wonderful Christmas decorations and things to eat. You are both so lovely together and so obviously in love and right for each other, it does my heart good xx
The whole world owes Prince Albert and therefore Germany a debt of gratitude for many of our most beloved Christmas traditions. The main one is, of course, the tannenbaum. I love to picture a Victorian era Christmas from Dickens with all of the festivities. German food and particularly the sweets are fantastic. Your channel addresses my favorite interests. I look forward to enjoying it with each new video.
I remember watching your Christmas video from last year this summer and I got soooo excited to get a windmill and a smoking man for our house! The kids will love it. I loved this video! Such beautiful ornaments and cozy Christina’s vibes.
It's lovely to see such traditional, old fashioned Christmas goodies. I deplore the commercial aspect to it all. I have tree decorations going back to the 60's that belonged to my Nana, beautiful glass ones that would not look out of place next to yours. Thanks for sharing such inspiring things.
There are a lot of the German Christmas goodies that I have been introduced to and are hard to stop eating! One of the things I remember as a child was my grandmother’s Christmas tree that had Bubble Lights. For those who haven’t seen these ,they resemble a string of glass candles with a coloured liquid that bubbles when the bulb warms the liquid up. They are still available today and gives the tree a retro look Take care and happy tree decorating 🇨🇦 ❤️
You’ve got me excited now for Christmas! I usually wait until after Thanksgiving since I’m American but I may not be able to. I still have my smoker from the early 80’s in Germany! Sadly our pyramid didn’t make it after a few years as the replacement candles were too tall and the paddles caught fire! I always say I’ll order another one and always forget. I love that you don’t do theme trees! We just have a huge collection of lifetime memories. My kids school crafted ornaments over the years, family heirlooms, and ornaments from most every place I’ve ever visited. I love it. As for holiday sweets and treats…Don’t even get me started! Lol! Looking forward to seeing more of your Christmas videos! Much love to you both! ❤️❤️
Thanks so much Karen! Yes, can understand that you would want to wait until after Thanksgiving. Yes, we think everything that you love needs to go on a tree, it looks so special.
Being of French Canadian heritage, one big tradition is Tourtierre (traditional pork/beef pie) for Christmas breakfast. I've been vegetarian for quite some time so it'll be made with Impossible burger here at my place. I also love bubble lights. We had a small tabletop tree with bubble lights when I was a child and I loved it. Now, I have a few bubble light nightlights that I plug into the kitchen outlets at Christmas. Your decorations are so beautiful. I have a small pyramid, bought it years and years ago.
love this! growing up, a lot of our christmas traditions were influenced by the german and norwegian ancestry on my mom’s side. due to covid, last year was the first one i wasn’t with my family for the holidays. so i made my own sauerbraten and lefse (norwegian flatbread). the decorations you showed look so similar to the ones i inherited from my grandparents. there’s a scandinavian version of the pyramid you showed, but it’s made from metal and makes a tinkling sound as it rotates! love how much different cultures share traditions. thank you for the lovely video! 💕
I know, it was very hard for us as well last year not being with family. It's the most important of all being with your loved ones. Love hearing about different cultures and traditions. Hope you're well.
Home Goods has Stollen. I bought rum and regular. It's not Christmas until the Stollen and lepkucken are in my house. I'm from Munich living in Michigan.
There you go again...taking me back to the years our family spent in Germany. I have to say the only place that is better than Vieux Quebec at Christmas, is Germany! So cozy, so traditional, so family-oriented, and just so festive. FYI Amazon has the Glass Blower in English. I am putting it on my list for my stocking stuffer. 😁 Thank you both so much for this. God bless. I'm going to have to watch this again. 😆
I lived in Bitburg in the 1950's when my father was stationed at Spangdahlem US Air Force Base. We were there for 4 years and we loved this area of Germany. We came home to the US with hundreds of Christmas ornaments. We had many of the items you showed, but alas many broke in transit and my sister and I dropped quite a few. (We were under 8 years of age at the time) I remember a VERY BEAUTIFUL TREE TOPPER, blown glass silver with silver bells attached. I really liked this video and it brought to mind MANY beautiful memories of Germany.
i think my friend i used to caregive her, she was writing her memoir. and in her farmhouse in the midwest they made a huge batch of lebkuchen, rolled it out on the table, cut & baked them. and they kept well, and were brought out for visitors for the whole holiday season
I was 63 this July and I have ornaments from Germany that came with my ancestors, giant hand paint glass balls and some indent, those are so fragile, I just love them. We had a pyramid when I was a kid, it was mesmerizing. There's a huge garden center near where I grew up, I told my brother I wanted to go next time I'm visiting, they have trees decorated with ornaments from around the world, I'm hoping I can find some nice ones like yours, as well as hoping Aldi having some of those treats =^)
@@KirstenJoerg I haven't been in I bet 30 years, hard to wrap my head around that number. Another UA-camr lives near there and she said Yes they still have all the trees decorated, I can't wait.
There was a Christmas shop here in Portsmouth, NH many years ago called the Red Door that carried the wonderful pyramid decorations. Back then my children were young and those beautiful pyramids were beyond my budget. By the time I could afford one the shop had gone out of business. I haven’t seen them anywhere since. They are magical!
As children my brother and I were so excited when a package arrived from family in Germany filled with Weihnachts chocolates and cookies! The Weihnachtsdeko store Kathe Wohlfahrt is a vendor at the annual Vancouver German Christmas Market. I have added a few ornaments to my Weihnachts collection over the years. And from Villeroy & Boch, I have a few Christmas plates and three ceramic gingerbread houses. My gosh - it is soon time to begin decorating 🎄
I recently discovered your channel, and I'm so glad I did. You two are the most lovely and humble people, it's a privilege to watch your videos. Your attention to details and editing is a pure perfection. 👌😍 I really enjoyed this video, and I must say, every time I learn something new. Today I learned so much of German Christmas. You picked very beautiful ornaments for the Christmas tree, and the sweets... Love Dominos, Lebkuchen and Stollen. 😊
Im from the Philippines, but i do love German christmas.. their traditions and festivities amazes me. Thank you always Kirsten and joerg for sharing your stories, i really love watching your videos☺️☺️

My husband and I lived in very rural country for 30 years. We bought 35 acres, all wooded, except for an area we cleared for our homesite. Every year, beginning in Fall, we would go out daily, hiking and exploring, just to be enjoying the beauty of seasons. We collected hickory nuts, walnuts, pinecones, and dried thistles, seedpods, and thin, curly twig branches. We put the nuts in wooden bowls, with nutcrackers nearby. I would use paint spray to turn thistles gold or silver, the pinecones snowy white, the seed pods left their softly faded, natural colors. The curly twigs were sprayed with a light dusting of glittery soft white, as if ice was on it. We waited until Dec. 1st, to cut or find windblown evergreen branches laying in the snow. I brought them inside to be made into swags and wreaths, adding pinecones, seed pods and a big plaid bow. We had planted holly bushes around our home, so I did vases and swags of evergreen and holly, also tucking in the golden thistle and the curly frosted twigs. The live wreaths hung inside and outside our front door. Swags of holly and evergreen that I wired on a rope, draped all along our farmhouse front porch. Small vertical swags hung down inside, within each window,, while a cranberry red wax (battery) slender pillar candle in a tall wooden holder sat on upper windowsill. I used "snow spray" to frost the window at edges. It was so cozy and welcoming. I am a widow now, and moved into a town neighborhood. But I have holly bushes and two evergreen trees ...around my home. I still decorate in this old fashion way....
I have Christmas ornaments and decorations from my parents and grandparents from both sides. They bring back the best memories each year and are stored separately to be handed down someday.
So glad you got to visit your family and I enjoyed they lovely and yummy things you got . Looking forward to seeing your home decorated for Christmas. ☺
I love the beautiful Christmas ornaments, just to go into the store and browse would be wonderful. And I definitely would love to try the candy 🍭 can’t wait to see your tree 🌲 decorated.
Kirsten and Joerg, I absolutely love your content. You remind me to appreciate traditions past and present. To treasure things and enjoy the differences between countries and people. Thank you so much.
It is very obvious to me that Joerg is so happy to have his beloved Kirsten back by his side. After her visit to her parents in Germany I love how united you both are, enjoying the joys of Christmas 🤶 thank you so much For such a delightful video with your sharing of your traditional Germany Christmas favorites Yes Christmas is the special time of year, an I note all your beautiful .collections an best goodies I am so happy for you both and look forward to your next presentation Christmas 🎄 surprises Mary Canada 🍁
Dance schon-forgive me I don’t know how to do the accent marks on this keyboard! This was a lovely visit, everything you highlighted was wonderful! It’s good to see you both again. I had begun to do things for Christmas also though we haven’t celebrated Thanksgiving in the US (11.25.21) yet this year. It all goes by so fast it really is necessary to stay ahead of things. When I watch you two it is a relaxing (and fun) moment for me to take a breath. Can’t wait for your next post! Portsmouth. NH 🦃🎄
You two are so cute together! I like all white lights on our tree and my husband likes colored lights. The last couple years we have had the white lights, which makes me very happy! But, oh boy, there are all kinds of colored ornaments and toys on the tree. Just magical! 💖🎄
I like to change back and forth and we found a pre-lit tree that can change from white to colored lights with a click of the remote. I love it and can change so easily!
What a sweet video...It's lovely to see beautiful ornaments from around the world and to hear about your Traditions ~ Kirsten, your outfit fits the presentation to a "TEA:..some british humor..I'm looking forward to your Tree trimming video next week.
My moms side of the family is German and there's nothing as beautiful and the vintage glass blown ornaments. I have just a few of them and I get so excited when I put them out because there are nothing else like them in style and meaning. Thanks and I can't wait to see your tree again this year.
I was born and raised in Germany and now live in the USA - I keep for my family all our German traditions alive and of course, implement some American traditions my husband grew up with. I just got done putting the kids' advent calendars up and filled and all is ready for St. Nikolaus to come on 12/6 - we are excited for the Christmas season
All these wonderful German cookies and candies remind me so much of my childhood. My mother ,being German, had all of the Christmas decorations like you have. I always loved the decoration where the candles, when lit, make the angels go around the top. But ours was gold metal. Thank you for making my memories seem real again.❤️
@@KirstenJoerg I get do hungry when you are showing all the interesting delicious items from Germany. Joerg it is a joy to see how much you enjoy your sweets. I can just picture your Christmas tree! ❤
Me encantan sus ornamentos para el árbol de navidad, al igual las distintas tradiciones que compartieron, gracias por mostrar nos esas maravillas, saludos desde Costa Rica,Centroamérica 😍💯🎯👍👌👏👏👏
I do a thankgiving tree and I have the blown glass turkey, corn, broccoli and a slice of pumpkin pie! I also add hanging wood acorns and garlands of leaves. Seeing your ornaments was a joy. You are both lovely!
Hello, thank you for sharing some German traditions and stories from your childhood. It makes me have a great time as well as being an inspiration. I knew some German traditions like the stollen that my father used to make, or the smoker, and now I have learned new ones. Thanks.
Thanks to this video I was able to show my Nan the smoker after I found it so beautiful and it turns out she has hers from her childhood growing up in Germany and recently found it in the attic after many years and has now been passed down to me! Something to cherish! 🎄
Absolutely gorgeous decorations! Thanks for suggesting these brands of the best old-fashioned ornaments, so we can add some for our generation's contribution to our family collection of ornaments. You've decorated the room so beautifully, too, and I love the Nelson Toby jug! Thank you for sharing your traditions preparing for Christmas.
What a wonderful time of the year. Look at all those beautiful Christmas 🎅 treats, cookies to eat and the dishes to put them on and the wonderful ornaments for the🌲. “ It’s being to look like Christmas 🎄 “ . Thank you for sharing with us the traditions of a German Christmas.
Lovely ornaments, and all those sweets, look yummy. Love the wooden decorations, and Kirsten, you look like you stepped out of Dickens, in your outfit😊looks like a tasteful holiday. I have ornaments from the 50's, Christmas porcelain angels. We do our tree at Thanksgiving here in Michigan. I have handmade ornaments from when my kids were young, very special and treasured, now they are grown. Take care too👋❤️
Jorge looks very happy to have you back Kirsten 💖 you two are such a beautiful couple 🥰. I love vintage glass Christmas decorations. Reminds me of my childhood, in the 50’s and 60’s. The V&A is a wonderful museum. Every time we visit London we stop off at the V&A, love their shop too. I really like the Dickens glass ornaments you purchased. You are right Juergen, they are timeless decor. Oh, I love the “SMOKER” you have, so lovely 😊. Your wooden candle decorations are amazing especially the Candle Arch . 🤩 I love the smell and taste of “Allspice”. We can get Stollen here but I don’t think I have every seen Gluten Free Stollen. I am also getting into the Christmas Spirit. One important tradition in our family, is to have Tom Smith Crackers. Everyone at the dinner table must wear the paper crown (this is tradition). It is also tradition in our family for Children especially, to receive a full stocking and a book on their beds when they wake up. This also gives the parents a chance to rest before getting ready for Christmas morning of opening presents and getting the Christmas dinner started. It was a happy memory as a child getting a stocking and a book in the morning. Usually when we little, we would receive an “Annual” such Rupert Bear.. I enjoyed your Vlog as always. Always a very Happy and Charming time. As always I look forward to your next one. You make me and I am sure other viewers feel like good friends. Take Care, 🤗🇨🇦
Thanks so much Carole! Oh yes, the V&A Museum is amazing, one of our faves. I know, I was quite surprised to have stumbled upon a GF Stollen in Germany so had to get it. Yes, we adapted this British tradition as well and always bring crackers when we go to Germany at Christmas. It's fun when we sit there with our paper crowns. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful memories and traditions.
Thank you for sharing! I just went to get chocolate letters and Dutch cookies for My family, to share at 🎄 That was something my parents did when I was young. I am grateful for you both, sharing and lifting my spirits, getting ready for Christmas.
Kirsten and Joerg. We also had a very German Christmas. It was so nice to see your ornaments. My dad had quite a few German ornaments that belong to his mother that he kept in an old hat box. We would always put them on the tree near the top. We had the one who have that are grapes and the icicles. We would have ginger bread and cookies. My father would make a fruitcake in November and pour brandy on it once a week till Christmas when we would eat it. Thanks for sharing your traditions. I brought back many memories. Our Germania club has a Christkindlmarkt and I plan on getting one of those pyramids. We also have a few nutcrakers. Frohe Weihnachten. 🎄🎅🎁🇺🇸🇩🇪🇬🇧🍇🙏 Ron & Dovie
Thanks so much!

Completely agree!
This sounds heavenly, nothing more special we think.
I have many ornaments and figurines that were my parents or that my parents gave me. They will always have a special place on our tree or placed around our home at Christmas. I cherish them. We have many beautiful German ornaments as our daughter worked in Germany for a couple years.
I love how you are dressed Kirsten. Very pretty. ♡♡
Ja, ist einfach schön und ein Must Have an Weihnachten. Liebe Grüße
As an Erzgebirger I approve this message 😊
This video makes me happy! Simple pleasures! Thanks for sharing!
You two are a sight for sore eyes and hearts, in the midst of our Covid crises. And your house is always so charming and decorated to perfection. You're changing me from a 'sloppy' painter into a more careful one!
I absolutely love your German Christmas decorations. They bring the magic back to Christmas as far as I'm concerned, nostalgia never gets boring. 💜💙
Thanks so much!
Thanks so much Elizabeth!
You're so right about Prince Albert!
I remember watching your Christmas video from last year this summer and I got soooo excited to get a windmill and a smoking man for our house! The kids will love it. I loved this video! Such beautiful ornaments and cozy Christina’s vibes.
Hi Sara! So happy that you got a Christmas pyramid and a smoker for your home, it makes it all even more special we think.
It's lovely to see such traditional, old fashioned Christmas goodies. I deplore the commercial aspect to it all. I have tree decorations going back to the 60's that belonged to my Nana, beautiful glass ones that would not look out of place next to yours. Thanks for sharing such inspiring things.
Thanks so much!
There are a lot of the German Christmas goodies that I have been introduced to and are hard to stop eating!
One of the things I remember as a child was my grandmother’s Christmas tree that had Bubble Lights.
For those who haven’t seen these ,they resemble a string of glass candles with a coloured liquid that bubbles when the
bulb warms the liquid up. They are still available today and gives the tree a retro look
Take care and happy tree decorating 🇨🇦 ❤️
Joerg reaction to all the sweets 🥰. You both bring so much joy to all of us. 🎄
Thanks so much!
Loved this, starting to feel Christmasy. 🌲
Thanks so much!
You guys are such a wonderful couple. I love all your ornaments, timeless beauty and classic. Quality over quantity. Kirsten love your outfit .🎄🎄😘
Your fitted cabinets look so nice, worth waiting for your busy cabinet maker. Treats look so delicious.
Hi love your Christmas decorations, and telling us all about German traditions
love this! growing up, a lot of our christmas traditions were influenced by the german and norwegian ancestry on my mom’s side. due to covid, last year was the first one i wasn’t with my family for the holidays. so i made my own sauerbraten and lefse (norwegian flatbread). the decorations you showed look so similar to the ones i inherited from my grandparents. there’s a scandinavian version of the pyramid you showed, but it’s made from metal and makes a tinkling sound as it rotates! love how much different cultures share traditions. thank you for the lovely video! 💕
I know, it was very hard for us as well last year not being with family. It's the most important of all being with your loved ones. Love hearing about different cultures and traditions. Hope you're well.
Our Aldi's in America have a lot of the German goodies you had at the store I can't wait till the stolen is out cuz I will love the marzipan one
Home Goods has Stollen. I bought rum and regular. It's not Christmas until the Stollen and lepkucken are in my house. I'm from Munich living in Michigan.
@@margareteraab3899 they don't have home goods in my neck of the woods just Aldi
Thanks so much! You will LOVE the Glass Blower, it's fantastic.
Oh yes, that's actually not too far from where I'm from in Germany. So glad you have such wonderful memories of your time there.
There is nothing more beautiful then a German Christmas….Danke from Camarillo, CA.
You both look amazing and that room is stunning and quite cosy and calm ❤️
Interesting and very relaxing as always.
Your Christmas decorations are very beautiful.
The Christmas food looks delicious
Those decorations are 'out of this world'😍
i think my friend i used to caregive her, she was writing her memoir. and in her farmhouse in the midwest they made a huge batch of lebkuchen, rolled it out on the table, cut & baked them. and they kept well, and were brought out for visitors for the whole holiday season
Wow,what gorgeous decorations, I truly love a traditional Christmas 🎄. Love the video and everything.
Lovely . I love all traditional Christmas ornaments especially the wooden one. It is true they are so evergreen. 🍁🍁❄️❄️🥰
Oh how wonderful - hope you can check out the garden centre, I bet it will be lovely to check out all the ornaments.
@@KirstenJoerg
I haven't been in I bet 30 years, hard to wrap my head around that number.
I live in Portsmouth! I think I remember a Christmas shop, too!
I live in New Hampshire and I remember that store they had some beautiful beautiful things in there. Thanks for bringing back that memory
Ahh such sweet memories from my daughter's Oma (on her Dad's side) - stollen, candle pyramid, and chocolates filled with orange liqueur - yummm!
Your German traditions are lovely! We need our traditions don't we? They are ao cheering and warming 🥰 Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so so much!

This sounds so special and you will keep these memories in your heart - forever.x

Thank you Kirsten & Joerg for another lovely video. Love & appreciate quality as you all do. Gorgeous ornaments!🌞
Dance schon-forgive me I don’t know how to do the accent marks
on this keyboard! Portsmouth. NH 🦃🎄
Thanks so much Janice!
Love the decorations reminds me of our glass decorations when I was little back in the 50s/60s beautiful
So glad you like it!
What a sweet video...It's lovely to see beautiful ornaments from around the world and to hear about your Traditions ~ Kirsten, your outfit fits the presentation to a "TEA:..some british humor..I'm looking forward to your Tree trimming video next week.
Thanks so much!
Those are absolutely the most beautiful Christmas ornaments I've ever seen.
Such lovely decorations,particularly the pyramid.
Love your waistcoat Kirsten..such a nice and interesting video,Thankyou you both.
Thanks so much Susan!
My moms side of the family is German and there's nothing as beautiful and the vintage glass blown ornaments. I have just a few of them and I get so excited when I put them out because there are nothing else like them in style and meaning. Thanks and I can't wait to see your tree again this year.
So glad you have some of these ornaments, makes it quite special.
Loved this presentation. So interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing your Christmas decor.
Wanda (Canada 🇨🇦)
Thanks so much!
The ornaments are just beautiful Kirsten and Joerg. Thank you for sharing. I love and look forward to each of your videos. ❤
Thanks so much!
That sounds really lovely. Poor old Thanksgiving sometimes seems passed over 😔.
This sounds amazing! Thanks so much Kathleen.
Hello, thank you for sharing some German traditions and stories from your childhood. It makes me have a great time as well as being an inspiration. I knew some German traditions like the stollen that my father used to make, or the smoker, and now I have learned new ones. Thanks.
Thanks so much watching Elen.
The overall quality and delightfulness of your videos are just mindblowing
Thanks so much!
I used to have a lot of those decorations, they are a tradition and so beautiful. Miss German a lot.I am from an area near Freiburg.
Thank you for your great content.i love everything Christmas. Finally 😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much!
Love traditions! We love the Christmas dinner of turkey and all the fixens that go with it. Most of all family gatherings! You goodies look so yummy!
Yes, so agree!
Take care too👋❤️
Thank you so much! LOVE porcelain angels especially the old ones you have sound amazing.
How wonderful to hear Ingrid!
And also, the dishes you got are very lovely indeed. Thanks again.
This sounds truly special Ron, thanks so much for sharing. Getting a pyramid would be lovely, they really are so gorgeous in a home.
