I love when Ani has something to say! There’s a depth of wisdom and insight she has that seems to reach deep into my subconscious and bring to light things I didn’t realise I believed or needed to have highlighted. I guess speaking truth will do that. Keep on keeping on. ❤
Oh my god I love this woman. How many times she has pierced me with truth that rattles down through me deep into the earth. I needed this today. So glad she's still doing this.
My best friend from Iowa and I have been listening to you since 1993, and it was love at first note. We are both now living in Phoenix, and we recently attended your show. We also saw you perform in 2016 during those difficult times. Each time we see you, it heals our souls and ignites a strong flame within us! This was the song I was looking forward to hearing the most and you did not disappoint! My saddle bags have been so full and that rage is spilling out to the point where I’m not even sure where to start. I have felt so #nightbitch and lost and not sure how I can make change or help in such a terrifying time. That night, I went home and entered my daughters' rooms after the show, I kissed them and reminded myself that it all starts here. It's my responsibility to keep showing up with the right intentions. May all our hands write a New Bible filled with love, hope, and compassion for all.
LOL there's a lot to work out in these lyrics! A fine song and maybe the only one or two written in the past 20 years that has the word 'proletariat' in it - it takes me back to Utah Phillips. Yet, I don't know of a potentially accessible global praxis for balancing basic human needs, community, STEM and humanities studies and work, freedom, regulation, and the earth that gave birth to life. I don't believe the proletariat can do it, nor is it inclined to, nor the leftist vanguards with even more brutal technological and control tactics than regulated capitalists. Je ne sais pas, but we must keep it in public consciousness. Thank you Ani for doing so.
Boom chicka boom

Same here! I needed her to pop up somewhere today. I feel instantly better!

Ok So Cal folks from 1997-1998. Ani played with band called The Day from Orange County. I cannot find anything on the web. I want to hear them again🎉
Once again, I added this song to Amanda Palmer's forum.
