She loved, protected, fed, safely took her cubs to den each winter, taught them survival skills, and joyfully played with her cubs.
The biggest threat to her and the cubs are humans. 😥

It must be extremely rare for bear to have such a big family. Have humans been supporting or protecting them in any way? Will the family go on their separate ways this year?
Its rare or unusual to have 4 cubs and 399 is 26 years old . She has raised like 17-22 cubs in yellowstone from what ive read anout her

Great footage Greg. You have some wonderful documentation of 399 and the 4 cubs. I missed seeing them by 2 minutes as they headed to the den 11/26 last year. Hate to see this chapter of 399's life end. She has been keeping company with a male so, guess we shall see if she emerges from the den alone next spring. And for those commenting, yes, she kicked the cubs out a couple of weeks ago.

The Queen of Yelowstone. 399 has obviously been taught well by her mom. 399 has taught her babies well about surviving. Pray that the babies will survive once they go their own way. Thank you for sharing with the world.

I was just wondering which bears are collared and why
I see the cubs are wear track collars. I think this is nice to be able to track we’re they travel. Their den must of been so nice & warm with the five of them cuddling together. These are supper videos that you share with all. Thank You So Much. 👍👍👍😊
