Hi Kristina, the first firing of the porcelain clay with the underglaze applied is to 900C and the second firing after the transparent glaze is applied is to 1250C.
I use a slow setting two-part epoxy - the type that you get at the hardware and then clamp the pin in place while it sets over 24 - 48 hours. Quick setting glues are too brittle once set so the pin will come off the brooch if any force is applied.

Beautiful! Where did you get your underglaze pencil ?
I use a pencil to draw the pattern … this burns off during the kiln firing. The underglaze is all painted on with a brush.

What kind of kiln do you use?
I use the Nabertherm Top 60 kiln - it uses single phase electricity and is fairly economical too.
