How to install a tow on your 1971 Super Beetle.

Flat towing the Super Baja! We install a empi tow bar on our super beetle. It does need some modifications to make it legal in some states and we address that in this video. Then we find out how sketchy flat towing can be! Watch as we install and test it before we go out to the desert to shake down the Baja.

You half to make towbar pin mounts spare with rear wheels side to side and front to back, or it fights it's self .it will peel the rubber of the rear tires on a long pull it's strange butt true . A t trailer works good front tires hang in mid air a piece of channel under front of car to rest on toung and baskets to craddel the back tires .it was a 1970s thing . good luck 👍

Thanks for the info. We definitely need it being the first time I have ever flat towed something. We do have a full size trailer for those long hauls.
