yea..,the return of star wars,original characters,i liked this movie,i think that this movie dont deserves exaggerated hate of fans,the filme use elements of episode IV but i think that is a inspiration not a total copy...

Fry star wars was mostly hyped up in us and in European countries and it was not big in Asia (except Japan) but Avengers endgame was a bigger hit in USA , European countries and also in Asia and one thing also Avengers endgame is the highest grossing movie of all time and if you check the international box office of star wars and Avengers endgame the latter has made 800 million more outside internationally. I'm not a Star wars guy but I am definitely a indiana Jones fan

@Michael Hewitt-Clarke Yeah he had potential to be an interesting character but in the last jedi they put him on the most boring mission ever and he was with rose who was the worst character ever. Honestly, they should have had Finn Kamikaze into the first orders laser weapon at the end of the movie so he could have at least done something somewhat useful because in the next movie all he does is scream "REEYYY" and "THEY FLY NOW?" and he creates an undeveloped plot about the possibility of him being force sensitive that goes nowehere and is never finished or talked about at the end of the movie. He literally does nothing in the last movie so it would have been better off if he just died in the second movie.

It wasn't very well planned out. As decent as the possible potential and some of the designs were, there was either not a decent amount of time to make a good story, or they didn't try. Thus the potential was wasted.
I wish the fanbase would reunite again, I miss the days where it was more likely for me to have a fun chat with other fans. Now your more likely to start an argument

I remember being so excited for this movie. Even though the sequels weren’t nearly as good as they could have been we will always have this phenomenal trailer to watch every now and again. Remembering a promising start to something that could’ve been so much more.

Man, the magic back then, it was truly surreal. 2015 feels like a lifetime away. Everything back then feels so much more simpler, there was so much joy in the air. I can't remember a more exciting time to be alive, and I was only a kid! Such an incredible moment we all got to share, through this trailer, through going to the cinema; it all felt so special, so euphoric - an excitement like nothing else any of us had experienced for. None of us realised how good we had it. I've never had a feeling like it since, and I must say, I am oh-so glad I got to experience it.

And afterwards, although it was derivative of the original - you still felt an excitement and wonder. The mysteries of what happened and what was going to happen kept you excited.
Although people argue in defence of VIII and IX, they destroyed that sense of mystery and wonder. Particularly VIII acted like you were dumb for caring about this galaxy to begin with. It punctured the imagination people had.

@@rewild6134I was luckily old enough to remember seeing the revenge of the sith with my dad and man that movie was filled with thrill but also it scarred me and scared me for life. It felt like a dark movie with just mysterious elements all around it. Seeing anakin burn and seeing general grievous was enough to give me nightmares for a while.

Man, I remember watching the football game when this trailer premiered. I was a huge Star Wars fan, just in 8th grade, and I couldn’t have been more excited. I think I rewinded the trailer 39 times. I miss that too.

Frederick Lloyd and John Samuel are responsible for the theme song on this trailer, so its not available on the Force Awakens movie soundtrack. Its this song that gets me pumped everytime I watch the trailer.

Hell Rian Johnson directed the best episode of Breaking Bad "Ozymandias".
The sheer, unadulterated potential this sequel trilogy had. It's criminal what they did to these characters and this universe. I feel lucky to say I was never that invested in SW anyway, but man...

I wish I was back in late 2015, it was the last day of school before the break and everyone was seeing this on opening day. And the fanbase wasn't divided. It was great.
The first day this came out in the UK (where I lived), was Thursday 17th December of 2015, just one day before my school Christmas holidays started. It was pure awesomeness.
The fanbase has been divided ever since ROTJ was released. And then when the prequels came along. It's just how it goes, don't fool yourself.

*I'm a deaf man now. But, I wasn't always deaf you see! I unfortunately have a horrible disease called Mineres Disease and Usher Type 3 Syndrome. This makes a person lose their hearing over time, sadly.. I've watched all the Star Wars movies in my life while I could still hear. I went deaf nearly 7 years ago but I am going to watch this new Star Wars movie when it comes out! I am NOT going to let my disability stop me from enjoying my life anymore!! I may not be able to hear but I will never EVER forget the star wars theme.... I can still hear that wonderful theme in my memories and when this movie is released, I am going to go to the movie theater and I am going to hold my chin up and be proud that I am alive in the ERA of the Star Wars movies and I am going to watch this as if I could actually still hear..
Please, if anyone is disabled reading this, please know that you are still human. You are still loved and don't let anyone tell you otherwise because if they do, then they are NOT worth your time in your life.

Also Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, Quantum Leap, the X-Files, Hercules, Xena, Stargate, and Babylon 5. Those titles occupied FAR more of my childhood than the few drops-in-the-bucket from six space war movies

Luke even feared in; 'A New Hope' that the Empire would recruit students at the Academy (if he attended much later on?) to go into the Empire, unless he went much sooner along with his friend Biggs who planned to jump into The Rebellion, rather than much later by working at his uncle's farm on Tatooine.
Prior to the Clone Wars however, clones of Jango Fett were used for the massive Clonetrooper army and setup by the; Sith/Sifo Dyas before the conflict between the Republic and Seperatist escalated into massive galactic warfare between factions on both sides, true!
When the 3 trilogies come together it should look like this though.
*Prequel trilogy* = (Old Republic) Clonetroopers
*Original trilogy* = (Galactic Imperial Empire) Stormtroopers
*Sequel trilogy* = "First Order Stormtroopers".
Etc.
From being "no one" to self-adopting herself into the Skywalker family, what a journey!
Less self-adopting and more being welcomed into it by the ghosts of Luke and Leia.
And all that in one year !

I was 11 when this trailer came out and it was the first time I got goosebumps because of something on a screen. I'll never forget the excitement for this movie. So sad what Disney has turned the sequel trilogy into

Coming back to this trailer breaks my heart man. The force awakens was genuinely a good film and you could see the potential for the trilogy. Disney wasted such an opportunity.

Yes. I live in England, I knew of both Daisy & John, so I have no worry about the acting. Which is just as well, because much will depend on their performances. My favourite scene so far in all the teasers, trailers & TV spots was when Rey & Finn exchange names
So glad they went back to using models & building real sets. Fun fact, they didn't get BB-8 fully working until a week before principle shooting started.

+Ryusuta After comparing the trailer of The Phantom Menace to this, the one thing that's blindingly obviously missing from the former that's flowing from the latter is HEART. This trailer is brimming with J J's love for the original characters, the original story, and the new guys. They look afraid, determined, tearful, the works! It's going to be wonderful! ^_^ If Han and Leia have one more "I love you" "I know" moment for old times, I'll be ecstatic! X-D
+Ryusuta Apparently JJ Abrams has listened to the complaints about too much CGI in the prequel trilogies and is not using near as much as Lucas did for the characters and backgrounds.
However, I'm still a little skeptical about how good this movie is actually going to be, I'll give it a chance and keep an open mind but I'm just as prepared for this movie to totally bomb as I am for it to be totally awesome.

While the trailer is awesome in itself, I can't be the only one getting the goosebumps from Williams music? He has done it again, at the age of 83... These rearrangements of the original themes are just brilliant. What a guy!
Edit: It was just announced that it wasn't Williams doing the trailerscore, which I guess isn't to suprising. The original melodies are still his, but the rearrangement was done by a collaboration of people. It's amazing nonetheless!

star wars is something that changed me for the better, I remember when I was 13 and the trailer came out, I was crying so much in disbelief that the saga still continues even on Disney plus series. Star wars will always be part of my imagination especially through hard times in school,family and sports. Thank you everyone for supporting this golden family

I just saw this movie at midnight after avoiding all the trailers, and I gotta say it was one of the best movie going experiences I've ever had.
