You can return the c400 which is already out? I’m Lost. 8 grand the c400 this is just over 5k. I don’t think it’s worth the 3k price difference. C80 All the way!
Would have been nice to see cf express cards included on this camera. They offer higher capacity cards which you really need with filming in higer resolutions like raw.

the footage at 12:24 of the guitar shot at 120fps has CRAZY banding/noise. Is this a function of the recording format? LIghting? It looks really bad, in any event.
@@LukeSchaeferFilms That is definitely not UA-cam compression. It really looks like noise from the sensor, we would need to see what / if any denoise options are available in the camera and how that would be affected by more light since they are filming in slow motion.
you can already do this on the C70. I have our custom button 7 set to toggle between standard rec (23.98) and S&F (120/23.98), takes under 2 seconds for the monitor to reset over HDMI so I can only assume it will be the same over the new SDI port

now what do I do...was about to sell my C500 II and pull the trigger on the C400 to pair it with my C70 (same lens mount and all)...so now I guess I have to also sell my C70 and get the C80 (2 full frame along with both RF). Ironically this may be the perfect time to go RED? 😃
The r5 gonna drop to 2k or under after the r5ii I’m used market c70 is gonna drop to 2.5k-2.8k used or less when this drops be ready Boys monster cameras are about to get a whole lot cheaper ! And this is another reason I love canon they drop new cameras and the Old ones loose lots of value
UA-cam compression creates the blocking - have seen exactly the same thing on Alexa footage posted on youtube. Especially noticeable on flat areas with a slight gradient.
@@csound55 it creates that blocking IF you don’t ETTR and export properly. There is footage on YT from Arri, Fx3, GH5 and every other well known camera both with and without blocking/banding artifacts, just depends on if the footage was exposed and exported correctly. It’s either improper exposure or lazy export settings with too low of a bit rate. You can absolutely upload to UA-cam with zero banding down to 1440p. There is no excuse to have banding in footage with a sensor this capable, and I don’t even like canon lol
am i tripping or do the specs look like the dream camera, but dam all the footage im looking at just feels off, color is horrible for canon, like go look at a old video from a canon 1dx mkii and compare it to this, major downgrade.... whats happening>!?
Mini XLR-what a joke! It's not a true cinema cam as bad as the c400. It's a little c because it's got a mini xlr, not big XLR, so it gets mini letters.
I'm not at all convinced about the usability of such a large sensor in a small environment. The images never seem to have great definition. The Fuji on the other hand manages to have a much more pleasant definition and also the blur which here, like all full frames, is exaggerated and not very cinematic.

Probably UA-cam compression. Creates horrible banding in many cases.

What does the SDI output to? Can it output 1080i or just 1080p ?
For HD video it would be 1080p.
