Linda is a member of the Arthritis Adventure Blueprint, my signature online program walking you through how to find confidence both physically and mentally with osteoarthritis. With all the discouragement that is out there, it is totally normal to feel frustrated, confused, and angry about osteoarthritis. But it doesn’t have to be that way forever.
It is possible to gain a new perspective along with mobility and strength even with osteoarthritis. This program is meant to help you every step of the way through this arthritis journey, a journey many people feel alone in.
In this episode Linda discusses her physical and emotional osteoarthritis journey, what the key to her breakthrough was, and how she now envisions her future. The purpose of this episode is to inspire you and allow you to approach your condition with an open mind and an idea of what is possible.

I have been trying to watch and work out on your exercises for the past few days and this one has just popped up. I have had 6 spinal surgeries and two hip replacements as well as upper spinal surgery (my neck) and have never stayed in hospital more than 2 days post op. I am by no means someone that is not mobile or gives up and at 58 I have to get up at 6 get my medication then at my daughters from 7 to get my three grandchildren ready for school and out to school. I also sweep and mop the house every morning before I leave. I return to my house every day by 10am and then clean my not so bad home. I have then time to see to my new house and the things unfinished from moving in and yes I’m frustrated knowing that if I was ok I wouldn’t take this long. Just suffered an extreme flare up just putting up shelves in the house! But I am off the mindset that I can’t stop! I have had this chronic pain for over 10 years and I now am baby’s minder when my other daughter has to return to work in February. Plus I am beginning a degree in child and education psychology with the emphasis on the child psychology. I am trying to find a better way to sort myself and the demon pain with yourself and must admit that until you actually hear your not alone in this world helps more than you both realise! I am on your playlist and I am trying to get through some things and maybe not quite making it on others but what today has brought me is hope that I can be happy and I can help myself with your support and join your community and live for me rather than exist for others! So thank you and if ok I can do the journey and show what I can do to help heal me and promote you ❤❤❤

Love this video! I had a similar experience with 3 ortho doctors who did not recommend even their own team of physical therapists! But Dr. Kahn’s exercises and encouragement helps!

Great validation for where I'm at on my journey! Thank you Dr Alyssa, words are so important! My pain got worse once the surgeon declared the only solution was hip replacement both hips which I'm not in agreement with. I'm working diligently on my mind, mindfulness, stress reduction, following some key exercises from your videos, strength training, diet, etc. I'm learning that progress is not linear and there are setbacks but there is progress and I need to acknowledge that! Grateful for you and the hope and encouragement you bring us! 🙏 🌟✨💕

Congratulations Linda. Enjoyed hearing your approach blending Alyssa's Osteo Adventure and I gather, a bodymind? neuro approach. I loved when you said that the best is still to come (paraphrasing). I'm going to have a closer look at the blueprint as well as Alyssa's videos which I've been dipping into .

Thank you Linda for being such an inspiration! I just recently found Dr Alyssa online and that discovery is a watershed moment! You gave me the permission to try things I was told would make my knee worse. And I am feeling stronger every day and the pain is subsiding! I love the inspiration that comes with Linda’s testimonial and equally inspiring are Dr Alyssa’s short ‘try this’ videos to solve problems I live with every day. I have hope back that I lost a long time ago. Thank you!

A very timely interview. Many thanks, Linda, for sharing your journey and Alyssa for organizing. In a flare at present and working really hard mentally to not get discouraged. As a newbie to the program, I am finding that The exercises always help me get through these periods. And I learned some things listening to Linda and You, Alyssa, about examining all the factors that are contributing to this recent flare. Timely as I just finished your first two videos, Alyssa. Is it possible to get the name of the neuroscientist that Linda found so helpful for understanding her brain in pain?
