I usually get burned out whenever I can't figure out how to make something I like, but I found that transcribing and making covers of simple songs helped me out a lot while learning. After that I still have a lot of trouble, but after a few years I got to a point where I can usually sit down and make something I like without experimenting a lot, but it can still be difficult (especially with combat-esque music like this one). One of my favorite artists, Onefin, said that the trick to make good music is to make a lot of bad music first, so just kind of do that I guess lol. ALSO it helps me to have some project or vision that I'm trying to make something for. Like Size 2 Fish was originally for a game that my friend was making (the track was rejected because it was too evil), and I've got a few more songs that I'm still working on that are for some of their animations as well, and it's a lot easier when I'm making a song for something. So I guess you could try having a vision or scene in mind that you envision, and try to make a song for that. overall I would advise to just keep making stuff you like, make covers of songs you like to figure out what makes them good, and have some kind of vision for the emotions you're trying to convey through the song, so good luck and have fun!
