Excellent episode. Craig is a great guy and passionate about Skill Corner. Whenever I have dealt with him, what makes him stand out is his experience in the game. As a former analyst himself, he already understands many of the pitfalls you are facing.

Thanks. I definitely agree. Craig knows his stuff and has a great passion for sports analysis and all things data in sport. As you say, he's walked the walk so really does 'get it'. 👍🏼

    Hey Chris!
    Thanks for the amazing content!
I would ask you a question: do you know some free sources where i can find tracking data? Even not updated, but data related to old games. Thank you a lot!

      Thanks!
I can't say I've looked hard but found these 2 links, not sure if any good?
      github.com/SkillCorner/opendata
      www.kaggle.com/datasets/ekrembayar/metrica-sports-football-tracking-data
I didn't download so not sure if useful or not... Maybe someone on twitter will have some?

Hey Chris! Love the content man!
Quick question! I’ll start doing analytics for my college’s soccer team and I’m thinking about buying a laptop. What computer and RAM would you recommend to do the job efficiently? I was thinking about a MacBook Pro with 16 gb RAM but I’m not sure if it’s enough.
    Thanks!

Thanks Juan! That should be plenty enough I think 👍🏼

@@chrisgill_UK or should I aim for a windows instead? What is the industry more developed on for Football analytics?
      Thanks again!

@@juanmartincorreagomez6403 I suppose it comes down to personal preference. If you are looking to do data rather than video, you are probably less restricted (some video analysis software only works on one or the other). I'm a mac guy, so I would always go with that!

@@chrisgill_UK what type of video analysis wouldn’t be available in Mac?
      Thanks again!

@@juanmartincorreagomez6403 I think mac you will be safe as all the main ones work on that. In-Play Online (linked in my video descriptions) is what we offer and as its cloud based, it works on either. That is video analysis though, not data 👍🏼
