IMHO this introduction is irrelevant. You cannot mix a material about such specific technique like SAR starting with what a radar is. For people who would need such introduction you can be sure that explaining SAR for them is pointless, even the term "aperture" would be infamiliar. My advice is to reformat this video, talking about SAR specific terminology/methodology with assumption that someone who is watching knows radar principles. Otherwise you end up talking about building a titanium reinforced wall construction for people who dont know what cement is.
What a brilliant presentation, managing to explain such a complex device like the SAR in such a creative and thorough way and for such short time! Also, great left-handed drawing skills!
Couldn't have thought a worse way to talk about something. Saying a sentence, and stopping for 10 seconds to draw something half-relevant to what is said, and repeating. Like wtf.
Drawing the icons on a fancy board one stroke at a time DOES NOTHING to make the subject more clear but to waste everyone's time. You are not doing a complex calculation so that showing the intermediary steps is very beneficial.
I found it very useful. Even though it's short, the subject matter is fairly dense. So if I found myself saying 'but why do we need that' or 'what did that mean again', a quick look at the icons she had drawn reminded me.
So simple explanation wow , hi I'm looking for information about radar based satellites that can detect objects in real time do you have that type of information??
Mixed "comments" reception to this presentation. Looks like another weapon in the hands of law enforcement. Drones with automatic target recognition should sell well. Qinetiq develops weapons systems. This ad. parallels ones put out on behalf of GCHQ. Do you trust government enough to help them or is it just the prospect of being an Insider on a good salary ?
I take it this tech works both ways then. Looking at you looking at me sort of thing. Either way its all a bit creepy and pointless. Unless you have no regard for peoples privacy that is. Not to mention what it might be doing to peoples health, unbeknown to them. What ever happened to common decency?
Small antenna over large distances? What if we put one on a balloon and flew it over another country?
Everybody wants a piece of the pie, except, the pie is ours. This technology has been well developed in the last nearly 20 years at least.
This was a solid explanation, ignore the strange angry people who wanted an engineering and physics course in a 2 minute video.
This is a really well done and quick presentation, on a topic that is extremely complex and sophisticated. Much appreciated for nerds like myself 🤓
Did we watch the same video? This is cringe.

Extremely cringe. then again, he's a self proclaimed nerd sooo i don't expect much.
I loved the idea of sketching everything after explaining, it really helped brainstorm the entire video at the end. *thumbs up*
Thanks Holly well researched. Thanks again to everyone at QinetiQ.
Is there any tips on textbooks which doesn't cost as much as my yearly tuition fee on SARs or other modern radar technologies?

Iam sorry to inform you, but she wrote right handed. Since you want to read what she is writing, the footage is propably mirrored.
@@maxloveman3375 Thanks for pointing it out!
Enjoyed that style of teaching
Very good.your presentation style is appriciateable.
Amazing job and perfect help for my today's presentation about the topic! Thank you!

Thank you for making this video......🙏
Concisely explained, thank you.
Doesn’t really explain how SAR works. What about the different mode types, range vs angular resolution differences, etc?
I think those are classified
Very nicely explained, would like to know more

Hey bro, let your brain to process, you can use that time too, lmao
Can you explain aperture synthesis in details? Everyone discusses the same what you presented here.

What was the point of the board?

Is this an explanation for kindergarten kids?
@adrianobastardi might as well just play somee background music and keep mum then
i mean you’re here
How much it cost small sar

This seems to be the source of havana syndrome in combination with biometric information and tracking and a large fnirs brainwave database toolbox
Great video!
Such a great video, I love your hair :)
There is a limited amount of information here. I apologize for being critical. best wishes.

Just watched a rocket launch from New Zealand putting a Sar satellite in orbit. Thank you.
