This is THE song that brought me into Meshuggah. Listening to it for the first time was a life altering experience, seriously. The energy and odd timings immediately drew me in. Especially the part after the solo just hits me a like freight train everytime.
The vocals took some time to getting used to, but especially here it's still very organic. I love how his voice almost seems to break at the end. At first i was really put of by the vocals, but it's the only way the singer can match the intensity of the music.
Intense, that is really how i would describe Meshuggah. Most people aren't used to this kind of intensity, just like with spicyness of food.
I hope you will do more Meshuggah songs. When you develop an ear for their polymeric riffs it becomes orgasmic.

"This is THE song that brought me into Meshuggah" . . .
Same for me, but I'll save when and where in my 2 LONG comments, hopefully you'll enjoy my "journey". I KNEW this would "divide" their audience as its VERY different, strange and "chaotic" (controlled chaos) and many don't like "Metal", so THIS type of Metal will be, like someone said; "It sounds like the stop and start button is being hit consistently while speeding up and slowing down like a record on a turn table with the needle skipping across the vinyl ..." to most of N&L's fanbase. But it may bring in a new audience, more diversity and _they_ may hear something they never thought they'd get into.
Its good to see Meshuggahners show-up and share the love \m/.

I like it alot that you gave it one more chance. I would like to make a few coments though.. my perspective on Meshuggah. Not to try to convince you to like it, but just to explain why i love them so much. First of all, this is a very different kind of metal, it is not about a good tune with cool riffs and so on. They call this themself experimental extreme metal. For many it is very exreme in many ways.. some say repetitive, so say agressive and so on. For me it is music that demands a lot if me. There is none easy listening about meahuggah. It is a very expenaive red wine. If you open it and dri k it to your burger you would say “why is this so expensive??” But if you do what you can to experience it in perfect conditions the wine will give you back so many flaviurs and tones. It is the same with this band.. and when you do that.. you.. or I rather.. ends up in a almost meditative state of mind. The syncopations, the polyrhythms and so on.. the drummer Tomas with his five brains.. one for each limb and one main in is head that puts it all together.. the guitarist Thordendahl with his complexed solos.. some if the members started and still is, jazz musicians.. I hear a lot of avantgard jazz in meahuggah.. and talking about drums that keep the music together.. that is very much meshuggah for me.. the drummer is playing the polyrhythms and the bass and the guitar is following and then leave and do their own thing and moves back with perfect sync. About the growling.. this is not right for all growling but with Meshuggah it is very obvious. We are normally used to hear a singer in change of the melody.. but here he isn’t.. he is just an instrument connected to the drummer. He follows the drummer and becomes a percussionist but with a message.. and talking about that.. Meahuggahs lyrics is often fantastic in you dive into them. Well that is some of my thoughts about this band :) 🇸🇪❤️🤘🏼

Bach was like a curtain suddenly being pulled aside one day after listening over and over. It was like the floodgates opened. The exact same thing happened to me with Meshuggah. This to me is simply music evolved. Most people will just not ever understand it and that's fine. But that actually is the point of evolution.

My sons turned me on to Meshuggah, Gojira, Mastodon, Devin Townsend and such, and it took we a while to be able to swallow these bands, but now I love it. For me it’s mood music. When i’m in the mood to work in the yard or just have a moment of aggression, these are my go too. When i’m chillin, by the pool, or on a drive, it’s “ Babylon Sister” time. It’s all subjective.

One thing people don't talk about enough with Meshuggah is how much the lyrical subject matter ties into the music itself, everything sounds crazy and mechanical and robotic because a lot of the lyrics pertain to humans merging with machines/being replaced with machines and the problems that arise on a metaphysical level from that, etc, a lot of dystopian stuff

Meshuggah's brand is extreme metal so it will take a few listens to ease into it. When I first heard rational gaze on headbangers ball, it sounded odd but unique. It didn't have much of an effect on me but drew my curiosity enough to warrant a revisit, each time it grew on me and now I'm a huge fan of their music. Meshuggah, though, is not relaxing at all. It is a heavy pill to take without a good dose of rage as a tampon. Personally I was amazed when I first got into them. They were so out of this world for 1995 with Destroy/Erase/Improve. After it, they came with a even much heavier one, Chaosphere. These two were so unique for the 90's. Some of their tracks like this one, or Combustion, New Millennium Cyanide Christ, Rational Gaze, Straws Pulled At Random, Bleed (there are more), never cease to amaze me with each new listening. They just use all their instruments for rhythm, even the vocals. And it works!

    *Part II* . . .
After all that info, I wanted to start this part out by saying; ALL of that doesn't matter if there is no inkling of exploring their music further. It isn't for everyone, Metal has soo many subgenres and extremes "now", but some are in a category all their own. So this IS different than many people are used to . . . but Metal was always meant to be "scary", piss people off, and make people choose sides. But it really never had any "rules" to follow.
I'm 58, I was raised on Latino music of my parents, "crooners", contemporary vocalists of the 1960's and 70's, 50's Rock 'n Roll, pre-80's Country, Funk/R&B/Soul and AOR FM Rock Radio, and "Pop" of the 60's/70's. Then I was exposed to *Kansas* in 1977, which led me to Classical, Jazz/Fusion and in 1980, diving into Progressive Rock, Metal and Soundtrack Scores . . . all this melded into the Metal I was discovering and subgenres being invented. So I came from a world of "Soul" and Melody.
But when you stumble onto bands like "Gentle Giant" and "King Crimson", you take a pieces of that, and hear Metal that is much like it, and add some Jazz/Fusion-cats influences . . . THAT creates more mutants that interest me a LOT. It also made me understand music, music styles, terminology and what it took to create such musics; technique, scales, tone, timbre (though I still have MUCH to learn) and what "musics" came before, I was also hearing in various Metal music. Destroy Erase Improve is King Crimson's "THRAK" with HEAVIER guitars.
I tried to demonstrate this in an Essay (still under construction):
    mavearworx.weebly.com/blog/in-response
There is a section on Meshuggah and other complex music as well (forgive, I need to replace MANY links), and what musics inspired and influenced, with many examples.
Its also ironic that many people (let me emphasize, NOT everyone, and especially not you N&L) who say that this music is too angry, yet _they_ get angry "about" the music :p. They tell people that we must be crazy to like this chaos, and I've seen the same said for bands like Spiral Architect, all the way to Metallica. When people do something different, people come out of the woodwork to insult it or the people that enjoy it. But! . . . also people that are honest, and will have constructive criticism and great discussions on it all. Instead of a sentence on why we are stupid and its all noise (has anyone heard Pat Metheny's album "Zero Tolerance for Silence"?) :P. But Anger is an emotion we all have, and your background and life experiences will reflect that in your music, your art, your personality, and how you "choose" to treat people. And I've been known to be a wacky, goofy guy. But it also doesn't mean that my life is a happy one. It's what we do and how we behave to others that tell people who we REALLY are. And I usually wear my heart on my sleeve, but I like to make people laugh :). This type of music is a release for the burdens in life, also depending on the lyrics, helps me move forward and break through obstacles. Yet at another moment, I need to hear Kate Bush or Elle Fitzgerald . . . its all a part of moods and its time and place. You'll see/hear the "personalities" of the band members below as well.
    *Lyrics* . . .
So to start, what Nick & Lex thought were "Washing Machines" - The track "Future Breed Machine" is about deconstructing yourself, like a machine, a "Terminator", from where you were, told what to be and the anger that comes from that. You want to be your own person but your environment is trying to bring you down, they (whatever that may be) want you to conform and be like everyone else. I can relate, my family still wants me to live _their_ dreams, and everyone who doesn't know me, want me to live "their story", but we ALL have our own story to write, and if we don't live it, WE can't blame "them", because we are the ones that took their advice and made the choice. Here are the lyrics (and you can read and find the other tracks, and albums):
    genius.com/Meshuggah-future-breed-machine-lyrics
So imagine the sound effects at the beginning are like a conveyor of "Terminator Units" being built, or Humans made to be a specific type, just endless humans already programmed for their destiny.
These are the type of lyrics I enjoy, full of double-entendres, analogies, self-introspection, a different view of our social structures, the world around us and asking questions, sometimes defying what we are told because others think they should tell us how to be, or they think we have no choice and to just comply (Rush - "Freewill"). We always need to "Follow our Bliss" as Dr. Joseph Campbell once said, but its never easy. We have to go through a lot to live the dream, and many times its painful.
I think that is what Metal is all about, even from a _cyborg's_ self awareness: ua-cam.com/video/l2q0OKYPsRM/v-deo.html
(though, I think it would be VERY sad for a Robot/Ai/Cyborgs existence, to have soo many questions about themselves).
Speaking of Terminators, if you are inclined to checkout Meshuggah LIVE (which I highly recommend), vocalist Jens Kidman has quite the scary stage presence, how he "headbangs" or more-so, bobs his head, but then he "scans" the audience, as if he were a 800 series Terminator/Skeleton and "stares" :P. While the rest of the band VERY aggressively headbangs with their entire body! Its quite the sight! D: I have seen them twice, its an experience to "feel" and hear the music, and watch what they do. And there are tracks that I can't help but headbang.
I'll probably add more, but for now I think; all that matters is if YOU like it or not. That's really it, it may bring you back as there is "something" that sticks in your head (for good or bad), like you said Nick; this may turn into a favorite a few months or years from now when you are "ready". Or not a fave per-say but something you crave from time to time. But I know that many folks are not into Metal, and THIS will probably not make you a fan, but there are the few that have made it known they are fans, and the "view count" is surprisingly high :).

It's so interesting how each of us has progressed through our metal journey. More people than not shut their metal down when the growling comes along. Hard to focus on the vocals.
My introduction to metal was hearing The Immigrant Song by Zep when I was 11 years old in 1971. Went to a Black Sabbath/Blue Oyster Cult concert right around 1980. Possessed and Death were the first two bands that introduced me to growling. I'm a full on metalhead but like you, certain sounds are out of our element. I was never a big fan of Maiden or Sabbath with Ozzy (Dio was singer when I saw them).
I love Meshaggah. They are controlled chaos. The Abysmal Eye instantly rocketed to the upper echelon of my favorite Meshaggah tracks along with Qualms of Reality, I Am Colassus, New Millennium Cyanide Christ, and Future Breed Machine which was my first favorite song by them. I saw them in concert opening for Tool. Took the wife, son, and daughter with me.
Your reaction style is different than most I've listened to, and I've listened to a lot. I enjoy your delivery.

  • @erikberg5363

I’m a huge metal fan (even the extreme stuff) but a lot of Meshuggah’s stuff is very relentless and kind of claustrophobic in a way. They have the clean sections to break things up but I generally like music that has a little more room to breathe. Glad you guys enjoyed this to an extent but I think there are much easier pathways to get into more extreme Prog-Metal. Here are a few of my suggestions:
Opeth (early): the main band that got me into heavier stuff. I know you’ve heard at least one song but as Nick said with Holdsworth, sometimes it takes a different song or it can depend on your frame of mind at that exact time. Try out the songs “Bleak” or “Deliverance”.
Death (later period): These guys basically started Death Metal but became very progressive and interesting as time went on. Check out “Symbolic” or “The Flesh and the Power it Holds”.
Gojira: maybe the most “accessible” of these 3 bands but still quite heavy, progressive and just fantastic IMO. The vocals are kind of a middle ground between singing and harsh screams. I think “Ocean Planet” or “The Gift of Guilt” would be good places to start.
Of course no worries if you guys don’t get to any of these or don’t even get into the heavier stuff, it’s definitely not for everyone! Took me years of being into metal before I could stand even these bands. However if it does “click” for you, it opens up a whole new endless rabbit hole to dive into!
Anyway, thanks for everything you guys do! I will be here watching regardless of what’s playing.
    Take care and rock on!🤘🤘

Yeah I tend to agree. Meshuggah (and a lot of other modern metal acts for that matter) are very exhausting to listen to for me. It’s like a sonic tidal wave with so many layers occupying every nook and cranny of the mix that I can’t really listen to them for very long at all. There isn’t much variance in volume and so there aren’t many moments to catch your breath.

    • @mvunit3
      @mvunit3 2 роки тому +1

So I sent them 4 Death albums and 5 Opeth albums (as well as other Metal subgenres and Prog Metal), so hopefully sooner than later, they will experience other musics and possibly get used to various extremes.

    • @mvunit3
      @mvunit3 2 роки тому +2

Let me add, there are bands I sent that Lexi probably will not like, Nicks tastes are similar to mine as far as Metal goes, but other bands are too extreme "for now". I know LOTS of people that got into Opeth during their Death Metal period that loved their music so much, they got used to the extreme vocals, and now they listen to other bands with the rougher vocals as well. But me and Lexi also have similar tastes in "other" types of music.
Actually, this wasn't a request as a gateway to more heavier Metal or Prog Metal, it was just giving Nick a taste for a certain band, because he is also into complex/technical Metal. But its the "voice" that obviously puts people off. And as you see in the comments, "Metal" puts some people off. I think that's the nature of the beast.
I've sent quite a bit of Playlists with melodic music and melodic Prog Metal to N&L, so I think they are already versed in many bands, but are also waiting to "react" to many, so they don't want to spoil their honest reactions in real time ;).

Where I disagree with you about "labels" . . .
"I hear Lexi likes Metal! :D"
      I then suggest:
      Death
      Carcass
      Immolation
      MESHUGGAH
. . . . did you see the PAIN in poor Lexi's face? :P She now wants to strangle me.
"Labels" are like when you pick-up a can of Soup. You want to read the label to see what kind of soup it is.
      If I was that nonchalant type of fan that saw all these Progressive "Rockers", and then suggested;
      Spiral Architect
      Watchtower
      Aghora
      Cynic
(maybe even Gentle Giant, the later era of King Crimson, Magma, Can in some cases)
. . . they may want to strangle me again :p.
And those bands will be featured eventually ;).
Progressive Rock is different than Prog Metal (and what era or type of Prog Metal? Same with Progressive Rock). And Metal has all these various subgenres because Anaal Nathrakh is not the same as Iron Maiden, and Mercyful Fate is not TesseracT and Candlemass isn't Napalm Death.
. . . I LIKE variety, and some bands and genres I don't like. At-least the label tells me what they are and I can decide if I want to venture further to hear it.
And I'm a Yes and Steely Dan fan, and raised on AOR FM Radio since 1977 (and AM radio before that).

And I guess I've slowly made my way down the path to where the only band I've found that I can only handle in small doses is called
    Infant Annihilater.
The name is horrible, but the music is impressive how they have made the most extreme metal genre probably ever. There are others, but I think they might be the first.
And it's actually very difficult to make the most heavy riff you can.
You'll try and try, then it just sounds like ABBA or something XD

Thank you guys! I appreciate your honesty! Seriously! . . .
Where do I begin? If you and your audience have time, a bit of explanations of who and what they are.
    *Part I*
There was a time (in its infancy), I did NOT like Death Metal "Vocals". It was my younger brother that introduced me to Sepultura, and that did it. It's taken measures of time for "Metal" to become other things, other mutants and monsters, to get THIS heavy took a lot of time, and add-in other elements to make it unique. MANY of the CD's that I have sent you (that are Metal), are the "stepping stones" to this level. Please keep that in mind, NOT all those albums are as heavy, but some are as well.
The "Cookie Monster" vocals, as-well as screaming take time to get used to, and I can discern between "Emo Screamo" vocals (which I don't like) from "Yelling/Barking" to the Death Metal "Guttural" vocals, some so extreme Lexi would turn it off right away (some of that I don't enjoy either). That will give you a bit of context of the various types of growling vocals, and that some of it can turn me off as well. I also want to let your audience know, I take to "Lyrics" very seriously, they are important to me as the music. I can NOT get into ultra-violent, extreme graphic horror, and "blasphemous" lyrics, it starts effecting my "soul", even if the music is well done, I can't get into it. But I will say there are RARE exceptions, but 98% . . . nope, I can't let my brain go into the depth of that type of horror (which is ironic that folks can get into those type of "movies", but not that type of Metal, hmmm).
    I'll get into their lyrics a bit later . . .
Meshuggah is Yiddish for "Crazy" :P Which they are, their 1st album was a VERY Thrash album, but with its share of complexity, and the same vocalist, Jens Kidman, was referred to as "James Hetfield on steroids" (thank you Nick :P). I knew nothing about them then. Then their Ep "None" (which is on your copy of Destroy Erase Improve) they made a change, they became more "groovy", the "4/4" much like Pantera, but the "Riffs" were amazing, the syncopation and drummer Tomas Haake was just as intricate with his "feet" as he was with his hands! The soloing of Fredrik Thordendal began to show his love for Allan Holdsworth (as Tomas was for drummers Gary Husband and
Vinnie Colaiuta), and rhythm guitarist Marten Hagstrom kept the rhythms down and the tricky riffage.
Then in 1995 (same year Opeth debuted, and MANY other albums of Metal subgenres and Prog Metal that are now classics) released _Destroy Erase Improve._
I was working at my 1st Video Game Studio (in Carlsbad Calif.) as a conceptual illustrator, I felt like I had money to burn then :p. So the Art Director from another team said; "Tony, we're gonna' take you to our favorite Mexican dive (that I have been going back to since that day), and our favorite record store ("Lou's Records")". That became a weekly occurrence, one day my co-worker who was very much into Industrial music came back from that store, and handed me _the_ album/CD and said; "This is not really my thing, but take a listen to it, if you don't like it, I'll trade it for something else". It said on the "sticker" on the case (paraphrasing); "...Metal with Industrial grooves".
There is a person here that said "2 minutes in, that was enough for me" :p 2 minutes into the 1st track/Future Breed Machine . . . I became a Meshuggah fan for life. Again, it's 1995, up to that time I was well versed in all the Metal that was being invented into new subgenres, and I especially enjoyed the more complex fare, and the very heavy aggressive sounds of Death Metal, but this was TOTALLY different. Lots of people were making Pantera comparisons in a "negative" way, as if it had already been done before, in a few trade magazines, but this was waaaaay different . . .
After a few listens, just the 1st track alone, as I started learning about music definitions; they were doing all this in "4/4", nothing outrageous like Dream Theater for example, it was a "Groove" pattern, something to headbang VIOLENTLY to. But it's what they were doing WITHIN the 4/4 that makes it nuts! This is probably still, one of their most complex tracks in their history. Where it sounds like "Chaos", its still in the _beat_ of the 4/4.
Their prowess and "fusion" influences enter in the middle, I had NEVER heard anything like that in Metal, maybe at times close, but it was a bit of "Fresh Air" in the carnage, and it was like Allan Holdsworth stepped-in as a guest! I was speechless, I was already a fan of his, and from the liner notes, I learned the band was too. The album continues in all this, not as complex but more complex than most bands (Opeth would be the next "shocker" how they could go from "Beauty to Brutality", but that wouldn't happen till years later when they released "Still Life").
Each band member played the part of "Percussionist" (including vocals), and Haake on drums at times would be the "Lead", or keeping the 4/4 while everyone else were doing odd meters such as 5/16 or 17/16.
The parts you thought were "keyboards" were actually the guitar, its a harmonic that then gets sampled in a loop from their effects pedals. The odd "computer" tapping sounding part is actually a device that Thordendal developed, its a "Breath Controller" that was made from a "Talk Box" (think the talking guitar parts from Peter Frampton) and then mutated into the controller, as Fredrik has said . . .
_"I was mainly interested in using it as a dynamics controller. I wanted to start a note at a lower volume and then bring it up, like a saxophonist does. But I've since found that is more or less impossible with a guitar. Since the controller didn't produce the sound I was after, I had to find other ways of using it. It turned out that the only thing that sounded cool was when I blew every single note with it, which generated this weird staccato sound. The first breath controller we made-the one I used on "Future Breed Machine" and "Sublevels" from Destroy Erase Improve-could only control the volume. So Johan Haake (bother of Tomas) and I tried all kinds of things to get closer to what I originally wanted, like adding control over frequencies and distortion. I am really pleased with how the "Missing Time" solo turned out from Sol N!ger Within Version 3.33 [the remix CD of the debut album from his side project Fredrik Thordendal's Special Defects]. But I never thought we got close enough, so I sort of gave up on it. A couple of years ago it was for sale to the public, but not any more"._
Here is a demo by someone who actually got ahold of one: ua-cam.com/video/b7JgMt6UP4I/v-deo.html
    And the device: www8.tfe.umu.se/personliga/jh/index.html
He no longer uses this, as they now have components/processors, that are "timed" for each track they perform live.
This was a band that thought on another level, as many will probably assume they compose to be different and purposely "pretentious", well, if you are inclined to see any interviews . . . they just "think" differently, they want to compose Metal songs, and THIS is how it comes out. _Fredrik praises jazz fusion guitarist Wayne Krantz's work with Keith Carlock and Tim Lefebvre, stating that "these guys are the most inspiring band I've heard in a very long time". He has also stated that he listens to Massive Attack and Cult of Luna._ Other members have also talked about "other" musics that inspire them, including Rap/Hip-hop and Electronica, more-so than Metal. These are the many elements that make them "different" and why the music comes out as it does.
Many people have tried to "categorize" Meshuggah; is it Thrash, Death Metal, Prog Metal, Avant-garde, Experimental? And many just say . . . "Its Meshuggah Music". My friend from Tower Records who was from Brazil called it "Jugu Music!". I asked what is that!? He then went; "Jugu Jugu Jugu-JuguJuguJugu -Jugu!" :P. Many years later, Meshuggah was known to inspire the "Djent" scene, that still thrives today (but I'm also VERY picky with). As you heard N&L, Jens Kidman was more of a "Yeller" and Barker back then, but now has a more monotonal growl, which I actually don't like as much. but most of their fans these days like their slower 4/4 songs (where I enjoy the faster stuff, which may have 1 or 2 tracks on each album).
Why they are even HEAVIER now is their use of "8 stringed" guitars, basically Bass & Guitar put together to have more low end, to give it an even heavier tone. This came about on the album "I" in 2005 when they would experiment with various guitars and settle on custom made 8 string guitars to have their own unique tuning and sound.
Music scholars, musicians, reviewers/critics, magazines and even entertainers including bands such as Metallica, Tool, Dream Theater, Animals as Leaders, Steve Wilson & Gavin Harrison of Porcupine Tree and many others have praised Meshuggah for their innovative sound . . .

I've loved metal for years, but this was one band I never "caught the wave of". I can appreciate the complexity of it, but I just never connected with it. Nothing wrong with a little chaos in your music now and again, but this band's sound is like being put through a stump grinder. I guess their name makes sense, though. Meshuggah is Yiddish for "crazy". A lot of people love it, though. Again, I love heavy music as well as "lighter" music, so I hope this one doesn't dissuade you from trying out other prog-metal bands, or other metal bands. I doubt it would, though, since you both seem pretty open-minded to give things a chance. You never know.

Its ironic, I can't get into Jinjer, I think because it seems to me all the tracks I've heard have a bit of that "Mathcore" quality to the music. Everyone made a HUGE deal that "Wow, this woman can do the Guttural vocals!", but there was the 2 female vocalists for Arch Enemy years before, and before that the vocalist for the German Thrash/Death Metal band "Holy Moses". And from a few years ago there was the vocalist for the Russian Folk Metal band "Arkona", all 3 bands are different than Jinjer but as heavy (maybe heavier).
Keep in mind too that the more you listen to various era's of Meshuggah, you'll find they are VERY different and more technical in "odd" ways than Pantera. Meshuggah in the early days were always being compared to them because of the "4/4" groove. But hey! Glad you liked them! :)

I can aporeciate the muscianship, especially during the breakdown. This sort of stuffs never really done it for me though, the growling puts me off to be honest, always has with these sort of bands. Napalm Death were quite fun with their two second songs, but I always thought their tongues were firmly in their cheeks. I got off the metal bus when Metallica came along to be honest, there's no swing to it for me. All the best heavy or hard rock bands (as we called it in the 70's), had a swing about them, Bill Ward sounds like a jazz drummer. Of course living in the UK the new wave of metal Maiden, Saxon etc were also great, and of course the mighty Motorhead, who had a huge following amongst the punk as well as the metal community. Maybe I'm just getting old but I'm not averse to the more extreme outer reaches of music, big Can fan, even like a bit of Crass sometimes if I'm in the mood. But it's good to keep an open mind, and give something a chance without blindly dismissing it. Just not my thing.

For the movie "Barry Lyndon", Kubrick had a special camera made in order to film intimate scenes by candlelight. There are extended moments in progressive music where such an ear candle is called for. But not a usual ear candle, but rather, she said, an unusual ear candle. One that picks up subtle details in the near quietude called into play by the creators or performers of the music. But, as the Byrds and the Bible say...to everything, a season. Even , yes, barbaric yawps within the roofs of the world.
There were a few months when a nephew was all about wrestling. You kind of resemble him. Thank God he outgrew that phase. He happened to be listening to music largely consisting of similar over-testosteronied barbarism, and alls I gotta say is that most of what is new is shite. This song would be interesting were it not for the hideous yelling. Schopenhauer warned us long ago. And the Ludi Magister. Glad y'all are panning for gold. And finding.
