Very satisfying watch. Love these vintage divers from heuer..
You and me both favourite style of dive watch
I have this same TAG and I sent it to Tag Heuer for repairs. The watch actually works, it's the date adjustment that is wonky. Tag sent it back unrepaired due to parts no longer being available. I've tried other watch repair shops and no one gets back to me. I've had this watch for more than 30 years.
Great instructional video, contemplating doing this exact movement replacement to my Tag 1500. What battery size did you use please?
Great Job Brother !!
You restored it so well now is turning back the time-space fabric @8:00
Thanks for the video,i wanna make two comments :))
Flawless vintage watch it's even sound stupid , scars and scuffs - 'must have' :)
And one more thing ,i would change that old lume on the hands its really easy just need time and patience ))
Nice result! I just bought the same watch and I'm asking myself how to get the bezel insert removed without damaging it. Any suggestions?
I have the same watch and would love to have it repaired, bezel is free spinning and the dial spins around. How much did this cost as far as parts?
Well done
It would be nice to get answers to all the questions people are asking on here. Thanks.
Amazing job! Odd question... do you think it'd be possible to swap the movement with an ETA-2824 or ETA-2892 equivalent?
Thanks for the video! What size and thickness did you order for the new crystal?
very nice watch choice and great job on the work you did!
Nice job 👍👌
amazing restoration. I own this watch. One of my favorite in my collection
I have a Tag Heuer 980.020N - Purchased in the 80's - I would like to restore it but am having trouble finding the parts - Any links?
send it to tag heuer then
where did you get the eta 955.112 movement and was the old movement eta 955.114?
How much to restore mine
I have this same watch I’ve been trying to find out what year it is .. can anyone tell me ??
Where do you find this blue dial?
Shouldn't the hands be set at 12 directly after the date changes?
I thought the same thing. I have no personal repair experience but the other videos I've watched they align the hands to 12 to make sure everything is aligned. I wonder if he skipped filming a step he performed?
How much do you reckon this kind of restoration would cost? I’ve got a working 2000 in better shape than this and I wanted to get it serviced seals replaced and maybe swap the bracelet.
If it’s just swapping seals shouldn’t be too much at ideally you would want to get the bracket yourself and just get them to put it on for you 👍🏼
@@TYRANTH_ Yeah I feel like there’s no point in spending £250 to send an ancient quartz watch to Tag for servicing. I saw that they do bracelet refurbishing for no additional charge in their complete quartz service. My watch is missing a lot of links would they be able to replace them? I think mine is from maybe the early 90s. Looks to be a Japanese edition as it’s yellow dial, and two tone metal.
@@memes_haram Scroll down the list .. Vintage quartz (Type 8.) does not have free refurb on bracelet and case.. its like 350GBP extra . On top of the normal service charge.
Restoration???
Double-sided tape, really?
Porque se ve al principio caminando en sentido contrario
This is not restoration. This is actually replacement. Lol.
Why did you not buff and polish it?
Un bisel Pepsi le kedaria mejor
