- In this Throwdown Episode, I compare the classic Casio CA-53 calculator watch to the updated databank versions DBC32 (DBC611). The classic has all the calculator functions including using a constant (useful for currency conversions). The databank models have the ability to store critical phone numbers (insurance providers, embassy, banking and credit card hotlines, local law enforcement, mechanic, home repair, family/friends). The databank models don't have ANY water resistance, the classic models do. Which one will come out on top?

The 611 listed on Amazon claims 30m/100ft water resistance, and the 32 to 50m. Thanks for the unique comparisons!
Neither list a water residence rating on Casios website or on the. Ack of the watch. The warming along side the instruction manuals specifically say there is no water resistance rating.
Amazon vendors can say whatever they want to sell their product.

I love the databanks and I got one but then I realised they made better ones in the 90s and 80s so now I have one from 98 and 91 I love them and will definitely be wearing them from now till they break

I own just one Casio calculator watch: The “classic“ one. I very seldom wear it, but it’s nice to have such an iconic piece.
