Hey everyone, thanks for all the love on this video, but unfortunately after owning mine for just 1 year, the body under the bridge cracked, and there's some bulging going on so the action has become very bad. I can no longer recommend this guitar unless it's okay with you that will most likely only last a short time.
Drat. I've had my eye on one of these for a while now. Depends on if $70-80 for a year is worth testing vs $200 something with potential resale value if I don't like playing guitar.
Guitar center has good deals on their website for used guitars. You could probably get a better guitar for around the same used. Just make sure the condition is above good.
It's amazing the quality of instruments you get for sub $125. When I started playing back in around 1990, if you bought and instrument at that price point, it was almost better as firewood than instrument. I'm looking forward to that pickup you got for $11.
I've had dozens of guitars... this is the best guitar you can find for even upwards to $150, in my opinion... clearly no Taylor, but a Taylor isnt $70 either... cant go wrong with this buy!
I think the Yamaha fx is number one. Followed by Washburn D-type then Epiphone sunburst ac. This guitar is so light and you can barely hear the sound. It's so quiet!!!!
This is a great guitar. I picked one up for my niece who wanted to learn and I was amazed. I started with cheap guitars like everyone but then I got a Taylor and now my go to is a Martin. After getting used to nice guitars like that it is usually painful to pick up a cheap guitar because they just aren’t as fun to play. Not the Rogue. It sounds good and is comfortable to play. It might be tempting to get a little more expensive well known brand like Fender but don’t do it. I would take this Rogue over probably any sub $300 guitar, honestly.
Every time I think I have a new Demonic Sweaters tune I like. Then I hear Moai And Jellyfish from Manasota again. Then its back to Moai And Jellyfish being my favorite song again. Great find with the guitar.
This was the first guitar I bought, and I had a great time playing it for 5 years. After buying an Epi Ej160e I don't play the Rogue all that much anymore (I did paint it though, and use it for certain applications). Mine did not crack or split; the only wear on it was on the fretboard, as the black paint wore off in places over time, but other than that it has held up well over the years. Tuning stability was alright, and I think its sound quality is represented well in the demo song. Would certainly recommend as a first guitar, as it should last a while.
Bought the same guitar back in 2014, still have it .. the bridge came off but I'm fixing it soon, waiting for the clamps to be delivered then I will glue it.
@@demonicsweaters No, it started to detach after 2 years, used to hear a slight cracking every time I tuned it, but for $49.99 free shipping I won't complain about that .. that was one of the greatest buys I've ever made.
Sh Mane Rogues quality control is t very good out of the factory. I ordered a rogue acoustic from guitar center to be shipped to store that way it could be inspected before I left. The first two guitar that cane had the bridge lifting straight out of the box. The third one that got sent was good to go. I’ve been playing it for over a year now and no issues yet.
So first of all, thanks for posting a great quality review! The recording on this sounded great, your information was very helpful and useful ($50 cyber week sale this week). Secondly, I appreciate that you demonstrate things in a skill range that the average user can understand. You're not showing a skill level that takes years to cultivate (even though you clearly posses that level) and make it seem like any ol Joe can pick up this guitar and play some "campfire" songs with it. Thanks for the review!
I'm gonna get a new guitar I'm thinking this brand. You can totally bang on it and not worry about it. Half the battle is being a good player this guitar does the job just fine
My wife got me one last Christmas. Its a good beginner guitar. No sense in spending big bucks on something that could become a decoration before their fingers stop bleeding. The tuning gears are quite cheap and sloppy, but it holds a tune well enough. Im sure that's what will fail for me. Im a truck driver and have to retune almost every time I pick it up because of temperature and humidity swings. After 9 months I've gotten ok on it, so she just got a $200 Fender thats waiting for me at home, along with a Rouge electric.
I just checked guitar center orange wood acoustic but this was in the search bar product section and it’s now $79.99 and tax depending where you live, I’m doing redo for Christmas or see if I can I but this because my dad gave me $20 today for helping my parents clean and we have some work left to do
I just got this guitar I'm trying to learn Cords and when I press on the fret board it sound just awful sometimes not even making a sound what do I do?
It’s hard to say, most likely due to bad technique and just lacking finger strength. It’s hard for many people to make sound on a guitar in the beginning. If it’s not that, then maybe the neck needs adjustment.
XO XO well, theres a $160 Yamaha F335 Acoustic Guitar, its worth spending a bit more, a low quality guitar will frustrate you, but this yamaha is worth it, I have one that still plays like new after 5 years
