A little background: the book Pachinko starts out in 1910 and goes until 1989 and follows the story of Sunja and goes through 4 generations. It shows how a Korean family survives in Japan during the annexation and WW2 as well as how each family members chooses to accept/reject their Korean identity and assimilation to a Japanese identity. The book is chronological. The show switches between 2 storylines: one starting with Sunja as just a little girl (1915ish) and then the other storyline following her grandson, Solomon, in 1989. Season 2 seems to continue Sunja’s storyline, mainly the second half of the book while also following Solomon’s storyline still in 1989/1990s
S1 of Pachinko was a hit and while I was eagerly waiting for s2 now with rosé singing in it iam moreeeee Uber excited to watch it 😭you get to see a talented cast with great story and directions and hear an angelic voice behind !that too witth one of my fav covers of hers!😭what more do we want
