- How did I preorder PS5 and Xbox Series X when so many other people weren't able to? Seems that we a huge population of folks out there that ran into issues. Maybe I lucked out or maybe it isn't as tough as people are saying. Id like to share of story of how I was able to preorder the PS5 and Xbox Series X for day one release.

I got both as well. Got 2 ps5 preorders. 1 with amazon and 1 with Sony direct with the invitation. I got the series x at Best Buy. I will sell my 2nd ps5 order to a friend at retail whenever it comes in
Nice! I dont know what the PS5 invite criteria was because I literally have every service they offer lol. Selling one to a friend at retail is great man. That's a lucky friend.
NTCertified Gaming Before the September 16 showcase, Sony sent emails saying they were sending out invitations to preorder directly from PlayStation Direct. You had to register your psn ID to get another email saying you can enter their special event on September 18 to preorder either a disc based or digital console. I was lucky enough to receive an invitation on September 16 during the preorder madness to preorder on September 18. They put you in a virtual queue and wait until it’s your turn to enter the store and buy a console. I only had to wait 16 minutes. With PlayStation Direct, you have guaranteed launch day shipping as well.
Yeah I registered but never got the chance. Its all good I was able to get a preorder in.
Got my PS5 big boy in the morning by pure chance! All sold out until I refreshed the page10 minutes later. Stupid covid had such bad timing. Oh and Exclusive, just saying :) Unboxing on my channel in the UK a week after you guys!
Nice!!! I helped a lady at work find one for her kid on Gamestop last week..even though they were only selling bundles. She was able to snag one literally an hour after. Just gotta be persistent and patient.
How I got my XSX: Used shitty in-flight WiFi and purchased through Microsoft.

Yeah the second guy showed up at 730 so he waited about 3 1/2 hours. Not sure why everyone else stuck around, maybe they didn't believe the sign on the door.
