Yeah, I think I put Trower in the top 10 and I've seen them all. Born and raised in Boston and went to school there a long time ago. All bands stop in Boston on any tour they do. IF the Boston fans like you, that's how you know you've made it.
Met Robin, only for a few seconds, after a great show at the Cabooze in Minneapolis.I'm a guitarist, singer, songwriter,as such not an autograph hound, but I made an exception, asked him to sign my ticket stub.Gracious man.
I saw Robin in Jacksonville Florida in 1985 and while it’s been a long time, it’s one of my favorite concert memories of my life. He played a full set, probably 90 minutes and then did two encores, they must’ve played at least two and a half hours when it was all said and done.
Mr. Trower is someone who just seems to enjoy playing guitar. It takes a bit of character to go out on your own and theres no where to hide in a trio! The true greats are always humble too!
Robins music is food for the soul. I’ve seen him dozens of times over the years. I’d rather go see him live than any other artist; one of a kind and a great human being.
Love Robin Trower. Great guy = Guitar Legend. He makes "every note count" - guitar work on: Trower Live & Bridge of Sighs (among others) is phenomenal.
☮️✨✨✨🎸🇺🇸😎Back in 1975 at the Winterland concert Robin Trower and James Dewar were the most powerful 3 piece Blues Rock group . Give it a listen . Then listen to his album Bridge is Sighs ... For Earth Below ... In City Dreams ... Robin Trower Live !!!!!
I just bought Bridge Of Sighs again but I have had a copy since 1974. It's just massive to have it again on heavy weight vinyl now but I can't put my mind at rest until I can find out what reverb he uses on "In This Place" that song means so much to me.
I saw Robin Trower at a club in Rhode Island years ago, unreal. I stood about 5 feet in from him, in guitar heaven. He had Nazareth opening. Fun night.
"How back in the day are you talking?" LOL I saw Robin in the late 70's, then twice in the mid 80's, 3 times in the 90's and twice in the 2000's, he sounded the same and I knew full well all his equipment changed with the technology at the time.
Just wonder why he doesn’t use the the Robin Trower overdrive that Mike Fuller was building for him. I use it since many years and it’s really the best overdrive to me beside the Fulldrive. I really love the Fulldrive but the Robin Trower overdrive is bringing it to the point for me. However, great guitarist with a fantastic sound...stay safe and take care
I've been following Trower's gear choices for many years. He's used the RTO on and off since it went into production. He's always trying different combinations of Fulltone pedals so maybe the RTO will show up again sometime. The old 3 knob silver Fulldrive always makes its way back for sure.
I know he's a way better guitarist than I'll ever be, and he's been doing this for years but I always get anxiety when I just see pedals on the floor and no board.
Haha i hear ya, I think his tech is using fresh 9vs before each performance, not using pedal power etc. So board would just make that harder and wear the velcro out.. Thats my guess

Some of the best concerts I've ever seen were Robin Trower. He just plays better and better as the years roll on. Best of the best.

Listen To Daydream on King Biscuit Flower hour 1996
I got goosebumps just when he SAID Long Misty Days. So much soul in Trower's music.
@1:19 that harmonic feedback when he hits the boost with the vibe 🔥
Robin Trower! Love every album he made. He’s a legend!
What is this guy not deaf yet? Amazing volume from an amazing artist.

Bad ass! I lucked out and met warren Haynes! Gave him my bands cd just to show him what he’s influenced! Check us out, HEAVY AS I!
Robin's created truly soulful, joyous music and his tone is as recognizable as Carlos'
...and he just keeps getting BETTER. Gives us mere mortals hope.
That DejaVibe is pure heaven. Man this guy can play. Tone ++
even robins clean tone is killer...

Not only the mixture of the stuff, but how about a round of applause for the Master of the stuff 👏👏👏🤟
I must have missed this one! Great job John as always! And that is tone! 🎸
Glad to see Robin hes great !

Holy crap that sounded good!
If I was standing there next to Robin and he turned on the Vibe and played some Bridge of Sighs, I'd lose it...timelessly great song/tone!
Excellent! Jimi didn’t use a pedalboard either. 🎸
Legend.🎼🎶🎸👍🏼

Listen to Daydream on King Biscuit Flower Hour here on UA-cam about 23:45 in. 1996 and in my opinion the best a guitar has ever been played
He introduced me to full tone pedal:) what a great pedal :)

Most people i've seen put the tuner first in the chain. I do too. Will be seeing him in Oct 2024.
Saw him live in Vegas twice, miss him
So strong !
Pay attention Kids, Mr. Trower is speaking!
Four thumbs down -I will find you . Genius at work
His pedal board is the stage
Robin sounds good but Premier Guitar needs to do more videos on bass

What year is your Fender
The poor Boss tuner isn't even mentioned.
His name was Dumble, Robin.
When is jd simos rig rundown coming out?

New one! New one! New one! New one!
Bruh he doesn't have one. He just has pedals.
But .... but ..... there's no board ! Lol
When your a legend , you don't need a board !!!
I love Fulltone pedals. I have 5 of them. However, the people I've interacted with at Fulltone online have been COMPLETE pricks.
Haha John's face at 1:14 🤣🤣
Did you have a distortion pedal from full trim prior to the Deja Vibe for the Bridge of size album
Doesn’t look like he’s using a paddle board to me
If it doesn't have hum, it will not produce the best strat sounds. Noiseless pickups have no soul imo.
Damn...Robin looks 100 years old!
He is!
A Fender bender? That's a car accident. Try Fender Blender next time.
