கண்மணி அன்போடு காதலன் - பாடல் 'சாகா வரம் பெற்ற பாடல்'.
குணா திரைப்படத்தை இன்றைக்கும் வியந்து பார்க்கும் பலரில் நானும் ஒருவன். I watched this movie on the release day (Deepavali, 1991), along with two of my hostel mates from MCC. Watched in Parangimalai Jothi theatre. Those two friends were from Andhra Pradesh, Telugu speaking, not so fluent in Tamil. But admired Gunaa movie more than me.
Kamal's expressions are awesome in ths movie. Divine music from Maestro Ilaiyaraja. Amazing lyrics from Vaali Sir. Kudos to entire crew of this movie.
Kanmani Anbodu Song is a master piece that will remain forever, சாகா வரம் பெற்ற பாடல் இது.

Malayalam industry always had amazing movies. But the truth is that Tamil audience never gave Malayalam movies the same love and appreciation that malayalis gave to Tamil movies and actors. Malayalis are welcoming and appreciating towards all language movies, we have Vijay, surya, Kamal hasan, allu arjun, srk now even Yash fans clubs here in Kerala. But I think other state people are not giving the same appreciation to mollywood. Maybe because of language Barrier. But most malayalis learned Tamil and Hindi through movies only and not through formal education. So I believe language is not really a restriction, if you really want to you can ..
