While watching your video introducing us to the Danish countryside, I initially experienced goosebumps, and my mind transported itself to Denmark. All I can express about the places you showcased is that it's a wonderful destination if you seek genuine peace of mind
It is uncanny how similar the east of England, Norfolk particularly and Denmark are. We are eternal brothers and sisters...our two nations. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thank you. I guess the North Sea wasn’t always there, i.e. the lands were once connected. I’m completely onboard with our being brothers and sisters ❤️🤍💙
@@danishmusings Doggerbank of course....but I guess we have the shared history of a 1000 years ago when tens of thousands of Danes emigrated here.....I live near the River Lea which demarcated Wessex from the 'Danelaw' under King Cnut. :))
You're such a beautiful narrator. Love this village and once again, thank you for posting. I hope you don't have to wait too long before you live your small village life. Hello from Chicago.
Thanks so much, Marcus. Not sure it’ll happen any time soon as I can’t seem to get my family on board with the idea - yet. As you know, the city holds many attractions, especially for my daughter. But I can wait ☺️
Hi Hele. Found your channel knitwise and I am so happy because of your other topics on this channel. Love it, please go on so I will have a long entertaining time knitting and watching you. And dreaming of Denmark…lovely place!❤
I stumbled onto your channel this morning and I am completely inthralled. So far I've seen this video and the one about your DNA test. I can't wait to catch up with all of your posts. My DNA test wasn't much of a surprise, mainly because I have a lot of my families history from a book a maternal cousin wrote back in the 1980's. As far as my paternal family, I had several aunts and my father's recollections for stories about my Danish Grandparents. Then after taking my DNA test, a half first cousin found me and she had done a lot of genealogy work on my Danish family. All of it so fasinating. My last trip to Denmark was in 2017, spending time with my Danish cousins in Copenhagen, Aarhus, and Varde. More comments will be shared as I view your other videos. Love your commentary!
Your video is wonderful, it's shows the real feeling of nature and village life style, it's humble request to make a video on daily routine of village people and their homes inside

I loved this video.I am looking to buy a forest or large wood to sustainably manage and make charcoal and plant trees, make wood furniture and do some wood turning.Problem is since the crazy covid thing everyone wants the same and now I am struggling to find anywhere within my budget. Denmark is certainly one country I would consider living in if I could find a business partner to halves with me.
Thanks Trevor! I don’t know much about it, but there isn’t much ‘available’ land in Denmark given that it’s already a small country. When I see movies and pictures from eg upstate New York, I feel like that would be a lovely place to walk around in the woods etc. Best of luck to you! ☺️
Thank you for this. I plan to visit my ancestral home in DK this summer. I've found it on the map and imagine it will look like this. Have you been to Sjørslev?
I must have been in the vicinity since I hail from Viborg not far away if it’s the Sjørslev in the middle of Jutland (there are often several towns or villages with the same name spread around the country). Fyn/Funen (where the video was recorded) has more of the timber-structure houses that you see here, but consider checking out Hjerl Hede, which is a marvellous open-air museum of village that looks like this and is only a little further north-west. You might also want to visit Viborg. Enjoy your trip! ✨

Not in such small villages. And pubs no, in the UK but not in Denmark. In the summer life changes, though, and people come more out and see each other 😊
Sorry for the late reply, Laksha. The lack of people there is because there aren’t many people living in small villages in Denmark. I’ve been to India (where I assume you’re from, given your name), and it is much more crowded. Also, we’re a small country, with just under 6 million people ☺️
Hello Priya from Sri Lanka ☺️ I smiled at your comment - we are not so many people, especially in the villages. I have visited Sri Lanka - beautiful island but many more people 💛
I find it quiet and peaceful. Surely there is room for both peace as well as life and smiles in the world ✌🏻😊(and we have those, too; but this is a village, in a small country)
Haha, this actually cracked me up. We're only about 5.8 million people, and most of us live in cities and towns, so it's quite peaceful in the country. It reminds me of a shop assistant here who once told me that a Chinese customer had asked him where everyone was? Everyone, he had said. This is it. There are no more of us. (When I later went to China, I understood the customer's question)
It‘s sad, that nobody builds like this anymore, because we lost the sense of beauty…
