    Well, the "heaven" of Bleach is filled with slums and poverty for the most part, gap in society based on the lineage of a noble to that of a street rat. Maybe Kubo wants to say that the human flaws won't disappear in life or death. Especially with humans gaining the position of death gods.

      Truth. Also those born into the system are unsurprisingly more inclined to commit atrocities to keep it going. Be it Byakuya supporting Rukia's execution, the Stealth Force stamping out dissent (including those who merely don't want to starve another day), or the pure nightmare that is Tokinada.

      The heaven In Bleach is technically a new beginning. One that is way better then he'll, and the constant need of "unfinish business" in the world of the living where you're a ghost at the risk of being attacked by hollows or turning into one.

    I'm sure that there is gonna be a "shocking" reveal that the soul society, hueco Mundo and the living world were actually a part of hell in the beginning. Reio probably made those worlds from hell and the Quincy's were the good guys all along. Also I think the original 5 heads of the noble families are still in hell for the sin they committed. We'll see them all later.
    I do like the idea that those halos are actually little hints that the Quincy's AND the residents of hell are actually trying to restore the original world that those evil 5 families broke apart. I think that maybe it was all a lie.
    Maybe the first world wasn't chaos, it was paradise.
    Maybe Reio DIDNT willfully separate himself. They had a sword specifically meant to cut down Divine beings.
    If hell always existed, then maybe the shinigami/noble families are from hell. And they used the power of Reio to make the world better for themselves.
    If it wasn't for the Shiba family (the altruistic ones) they wouldn't even have a balance of souls and forgiving sins via the zanpakto.
    Ichigo's ancestor didn't want to go with the plan to imprison Reio. He even offered to sacrifice himself
    Also I believe Ichigo's ancestors are the wardens of hell and that's why Ichigo and by relation Kazui are so wanted. Remember the bandages on Ichigo is his Mugestu form? And on his zanpaktos shikai? I believe those are connected to the bandages on the skeletons on hell's gate. They're missing.
    Ichigo's true power is to shatter fate.... Idk how that fits in but still
    It's aaaall connected man

If they fail to repent, they're sent to the lowest depths of Hell and will suffer a certain punishment for whatever mortal sin they commited without repenting. If they do repent, chances are that they'll be reincarnated in the World of the Living and restart life over again in a different vessel. Hollows are basically people who didn't overcome their own fears and eventually turned into them after dying and not crossing over probably.

    Well my theory is that what hell is doing is sort a reset of the soul society, we learn that when the balance is disrupted Shinigami go in to kill rukongai souls to keep the balance however the balance has been broken. So this might be what happens when Shinigami fail in they're task of keeping the balance, my theory is that there are to many souls who've been in soul society for to long and now hell is coming to punish the Shinigami for failing, I think the reason for they're failure is that they tried to become the worlds guardians. Like you said Shinigami are not often represented as heavenly beings However in most religious texts they're also not usually represented as hellish beings so maybe it was the, Quincy's who were originally the guardians of the world. Hollow's represented the worlds Evil
    Shinigami were the middle ground neither Good nor Evil but when the Shinigami usurped the Quincy's That left the universe without a gray area to keep the balance when you think about most of the ancient rituals of the soul society there not good or evil just matter of fact task that must happen in fact this explains why Shinigami are, punished for given they're powers to human. They interfered protecting the innocent is a Quincy's job they're job is to keep the balance in other words Rukia was punished for being a guardian because that's not what she is meant to be. She is meant to be a neutral party who enforces balance Keep in mind the Shinigami did not always have a Zanpaktou they did not at first have a tool to purify souls.

    Taking into account everything covered, I imagine Kubo will quite possibly include in the Hell Arc additional answers for the following, which have been touched upon by past content and debates:
    - Why Ichika and Kazui seem to have the ability to perceive and/or interact w/ Hell in the first place without incurring severe consequences (Perhaps their being non-full fledged Shinigami ingrained in the Seireitei-heavy doctrines and practices, and may be exempt from some 'blindness' to hell; think the scene from Invincible where Cecil explains how American drinking water blocks out the secret lab's light spectrum, etc.)
    - The Fifth currently-unnamed Great noble House; the one spoken of in CFYOW to have their reason for the Soul King to seal away Hell; it's entirely possible they remained unnamed all this time because of their explicit involvement with the realm and why any knowledge of it is taboo even to the Captain Commander at the time AND Central 46. If the naming conventions for the Houses remain, I'd imagine they'd be named the Higanbana Clan or something (Red Spider Lily); in Japanese culture especially, the flower is synonymous with Yomi/Naraku/Hell/Yomotsu Hirasaka and by extension Izanami. Just like w/ Kuchiki (Decayed Tree), Shiba (Brushwood Tree/Dog), Shihouin (House of Four Maples) and Tsunayashiro (loosely "Flourishing Society of Bound Rope??? The kanji "Tsuna" refers to the woven ropes associated with Shinto shrines, the Fusa knot and Buddhist wisdom, but the traditional material it's made from eludes me. Maybe from a similar plant w/ importance in spiritualism? It can't possibly be silk or such - too sturdy for kimonos et al)
    - Further extrapolation of Quincies and Fullbringers in relation to the Soul King (If Yhwach is the Father of All Quincies AND the SK's "son", that makes Quincykind his grandchildren, in a sense.) If Fullbringers' powers are first awakened by being affected by Hollow reiatsu whilst fetuses and thus realizing potential as pieces of the Soul King's body parts or otherwise overly unique existences, such as Ginjo (?), Tsukishima (?), Aura (Chain of Fate), Chad (?) or other such souls like Mimihagi-sama (Right Arm of Stillness), Pernida (Left Arm of Progression), Gerard (Heart), Rangiku (Nails):
    Does that make Orihime a similar existence to the Quincy and Fullbringers in the Lynchpin's relationship web and that's why her Shun Shun Rikka isn't classified under an existing species? Or perhaps, like Yhwach, Aizen, Ichigo and Kazui, does that make Orihime an entity that is also exempt in some manner of transcendence that allows some special consideration with Hell? Aizen explicitly hints that Chad and Orihime awakened their powers via the Hogyoku simultaneously, but if Orihime is canonically NOT a Fullbringer, could her power over rejecting phenomena - "to freely trespass into God's domain" - have a greater impact on the balance of the worlds?
    Orihime's stimuli for her power's creation, per Aizen's words, were that she cursed a) her own powerlessness b) that Sora became a Hollow in the first place and that everyone suffers from the eventual fate of Hollowfication w/o a Shinigami's guidance c) The way things are
    CFYOW hints that the Chain of Fate is a "relic from long ago in correlation to the original world AND Original Sin." (Further hinted in passing via Shuhei's Bankai, Fushinokyojo (Immortal Hangman's Noose) Could the "relic" of the Chains for all Souls be in fact a CURSE from the Warden/God of Hell, in response to the Original Sin? And that Orihime, who can freely deny and defy fate at her choosing, is an answer to the million-year karmic cycle, in addition to Ichigo being the Shiba Clan's redemption, and the "redeemer" of Hollows, Humans and Shinigami?
    Is that also why Kazui plays a special role with Hell as well, perhaps? Since he is the son of both Ichigo - the Transcendent of all the races, a Soul King candidate and a "redeemer" of the ancestral Original Sin, and Orihime - she who can circumvent the laws of life and death, time and space and hypothetically render Chains of Fate, Encroachment, Hollowfication, Shinigami and Zanpakuto a moot point? And maybe that's in part of what Hell's goal is all along and how, as Szayelapporo put it, frees Souls from the "yoke/binding of being a Hollow" and grants untold euphoria? That could play into how Hell was previously Heaven and Hell removes the cycle of reincarnation's hold over a soul damned to relive in a cursed reality?
    - Adding to the above, perhaps the Quincies are in fact an answer to angels or Seraphim in a sense. Perhaps murdering Souls with Helig Pfiel is the TRUE purifying of souls, removing them from the captivity of the False Cycle and into the True Cycle. Could that be related to the Beast Realm, which Sajin Komamura's clan is said to be from (a clan of ancestral Souls punished for unspecified crimes and sins - vassals of the Noble Houses maybe? Or angels from the Old Realm similar to the Quincy or Ichibe in nature???)
    - Would Ichibe Hyosube be considered complicit in continuing in this cycle of suffering, as he existed as long as the Soul King and is considered the last remaining survivor of the Old Reality (except Ikomikidomoe, as Barragan is gone andYhwach is supposedly only 1200 years old)?
    I have so many more ideas to state but I'd be going on for eternity and I don't have 100% of my facts straight, as most of it is surface-level DEEPEST LORE postulating.

    • @YamiNetto
      @YamiNetto 3 роки тому +2

      @@Imperiusism I'm not going to discount it, personally, on the count that Shinigami from 1000 years ago who first formed The Divisions vs. Yhwach were heralded by Yhwach himself as "unworldly beasts" of which present day Shinigami pale in comparison too. Zaraki was a whelp at the time, but still hailed from that era (Really Old Manchild), and that it's also alluded to that Yachiru may in fact have been the personification of his Bankai - or at least part of Nozarashi (It doesn't help that Sanpo Kenju look like dead ringers for Hollows, Kushinada, Ghouls of Hell, etc., and that the manga-canon Hell swordwielder has similar face tattoos. But then again, that would apply to Sajin Komamura's Bankai as well, as Kokuto Tengen Myo'o has them in both forms too, and also looks like a dead ringer for Enma/Yama of Buddhist/Hinduist/Shinto lore).
      I mean, if Zaraki is called a "monster" or "demon" in a reality when such monikers are attributed to Hollows/Arrancar, and even THEY feel like every instinct of their body registers Fight Club as an embodiment of death moreso than Barragan - the literal godking of death and decay via time... maybe there IS some weight to it.
      We may learn more when Kubo releases further content, as Zaraki, Yamamoto, Unohana, Ukitake and Kyoraku are approx. 1000 old (or in the latermost terms, at least 800, if you take Sasakibe's backstory and guesstimating Kyoraku's upbringing and acquaintance with the Ise clan. Kubo makes it clear that age dilation in the afterlife makes little sense. Senior Shinigami Captains like all the aforementioned and the Royal Guard ARE NOT HELPING.)

    Im not sure really about this theory, the thing that mainly bothers me, it's that in japanese culture, the Shinigami/Death Gods aren't evil, they aren't good either. They handle death because they are death gods, not only that but have in mind the image to which the Quincy are related, not only Angelic, but also the freaking Nazi's... The Quincy's also use crosses while the Shinigami use traditional japanese Katana's to channel their powers. I mention all of this because initially christian belief, because of how they were forcefully trying to impose thenselves on Japan were seen negatively, and the Quincy represent that, not only that, their leader is trying to run from reality(The fact that at some point everyone has to die) by forcefully taking what isn't his from *EVERYONE, even his "Father".*
    To me, it seen's more about some of the belief that Kubo base Bleach which he wants to explore now that he has the chance and wants to get back into drawing and writting Bleach. After all remember no one is completely good or evil, no one is a saint or the devil. We are just human, and where there are human's, even human's souls there will be difference of any kind.

      @@DominicanGamer27 I mean if we take it from the aspect of the reality we live on, which is the reality of Bleach. Also, regarding the fact of what was the original world on Bleach, there is a lot we don't know about, but what we know it's the actual world. And sometimes you have to accept reality, or what? Because of an action of the past of humanity, you are just going to throw everything away and try to destroy the world as it's? That's childish that's running away from the mistake, instead of dealing with and moving foreward try to be better and learning from the past. That's what Yhwach did, run away, you can make whatever excuse you want for him. But he was running away, just like Aizen couldn't accept reality and instead of dealing with it and trying to improve it, he tried to run away to destroy it to make it what he through it should be.

      @@DominicanGamer27 Yeah, the heart and left arm, join the Quincy's, but you forget about the right arm who supported also this new reality. You may think that, because they oppose the Soul Society, then Soul Society is on the wrong. But what matters is not just the past, but also the present. If we forget the past we are to doom the present, but if we focus only on the past and forget about the present, then the present is doom as well. It's a balance of looking at the past understand what happen and why, and then looking at the present and try to avoid the mistakes of the past, while also trying to understand the new wrong that we have on the present. That allow us to progress in the future, because if the present is doom, then so is the future.
      And that's what ultimate is Yhwach, the heart and left arm of the soul king did, they looked at the past and the forgot about the present. They were going to kill all the lives on the 3 worlds just to get back the original world. We may carry the sins of the past, but that doesn't mean we have to pay for then. The son shouldn't have to pay for the sins of the father, and the father shouldn't carry the sins of the son, but both of then have to learn from each other to avoid carrying anymore sins and teaching their future offsprings of the family who to avoid those sins, so newer sins can be learn and avoid.

    This is immensely intriguing. When I read the manga years ago, I saw several spellings for the Quincy leader's name. The one that always stuck out to me is Yhwach, which in my opinion is a play on YHWH or Yahweh. Yhwach's ability is called "Almighty", he's the son of the Soul King, he wants a world "free of death", and people are "healed" by making contact with him.
    Several quincy names, abilities, or transformations have angelic connotations. Oddly enough, the same isn't as prevalent for shinigami. One possible example is I always thought the Sternritter or Star Knights (Star-crossed Knights) was an odd name for the group since it seemed to have no connection to anything but maybe not so much if Yhwach is derived from the story of Christ.
    I could keep going but I don't wanna write a novel. This post is not meant to be religious. Many Japanese creators borrow from the Bible so there may be something there. Just sharing some of my thoughts after watching this video.

    0:40 Yeah, not a thing, if we consider Can't Fear Your Own World as canon - where it is stated that Soul Society, Hueco Mundo and Human World were originally one thing and Hell predates the split done by the Soul King.
    Its the original Underworld, but not something I would consider as opposite thing to Soul Society. That's Hueco Mundo, with three worlds being in balance against Hell - which we know from the new chapters, as broken balance allowed for Szayel to come through gates.
    The angel like imagery doesn't really work here as hell also has demonic appearances and chains, so I would call it a full on reach with the ring theory. After all the Quincies are the most angelic based beings (design wise) and they originally reside in both Human World and Sereitei.
    Also whole theory - like I said, contradicts with everything that has been shown in all media. We know that shinigami are disposable - even the Soul King was just an unnecessary problem that had to be sealed away. So them sacrificing the high reiatsu level people for better cause - works well with the Soul Society policy.
    13:40 Kazui sends souls to afterlife as he doesn't know better. In world the only thing that would await the soul would be deprivation into Hollow. And in hell now - there are actually thousands of good and strong people. Kazui could have met Ukitake or Yamamoto before, as he can open the portal to the hell, he obviously had been involved with beings inside it.
    14:35 There is also no indication or connection between Quincy and hell. Their society is directly connected to the Soul King clan and was made by the Yhwach and his ability to grand super powers. You would think that Yhwach tries to release Soul King from his "prison" to end his misery, but as much he hates Shinigami (which comes mostly from the conflicts between Reapers and any non-human group of people and the crimes Soul Society committed against Quincy clans without trying to resolve their issues peacefully), Yhwach also hates his father and decision to split the worlds. By bringing back the worlds together - it would let Quincies to live a peaceful life as they could just exterminate all Hollows, without caring for any balance.
    15:30 No one went there cause it is pretty stupid as it even fails to follow the basic Bleach lore. Shinigami want to keep the balance, cause otherwise they would have both humans, shinigami and souls in open area for Hollows to feed on. It is explained that the original split was made, cause the world was Hollows infested and unbearable to live in. Yhwach thinks they will be fine to go back as Hollows aren't as present as back then
    16:25 The issue with the first comment is that the talk about fish is made by Ukitake as that's what the words, font and dialect convey. Big fish are all the strong people going to hell for Kazui and others to grow, whole fish story being directly connected with whole chapter - including the fact that Soul Society sends people who would disrupt the order cause they are too strong - straight to hell. We know what immense reiatsu can do to simple souls and humans. They do that so we could grow. Hell isn't a bad place, like I said - probably because it is full of strong good shinigami and some hollows that got happy ending like Szayel, instead of torture or something, which you would expect from hell. It's not bad -that's why it's good.

    I agree I always wondered about the shinigami abilities mayuri shinsui and ichibei all have villain abilities and it's even reflected in ichigo the dude is a horned devil
    Ps that would explain why they exterminated the Quincy they are a tribe of humans who's lineage ties back to the world before and techniques from the world before as well

      @МаксименкоКоля Рік тому

      Only Ichigo's horns are rather the personification of his essence as an empty soul, that is, a literally broken soul that can only exist due to being an enemy of everything that exists, that is, something by definition not natural.

    Imo you can kinda explain the whole hueco mundo - hell - soul society - soul palace system like this: if someone dies with regret, they turn hollow (lost spirit) and go to hueco mundo. If they are "exorcised" by shinigami (angels), their regrets are purged and they're "guided" to soul society as spirit (though soul society is just afterlife, not really heaven per say). Now hell and soul palace are like the extremes area of hueco mundo and soul society. The palace is where the powerful shinigamis (arch angels, not only powerful but also contribute to soul society) and the soul king (god) resides. On the other hand, if the hollow (lost spirits) turn evil, they wont go to SS when shinigamis "exorcise" them, but sent to hell instead. Similar to tartarus in greek mythology (prison for those most dangerous to the order of Olympus).
    So what happens when Captains die is that they arr too powerful to pass on. This pose a threat to the balance of Soul Society, thus SS decide to shove them to hell with the ritual. And now they probably hold resentment agaisnt Soul Society and Soul Palace for condemning thel so unfairly. Similar to Lucifer being damned to hell.

    There is an ancient folklore that Shinigami were once people who committed a terrible sin(most cases it was suicide) and that as punishment their memories were wiped and they’re forced to become death gods that perform services to help the deceased pass on to the next life. Shinigami themselves are unable to move on to the next time until they have served their duty.
    The ones who commit the worst of crimes did not have their memories wiped, instead they were forced to remember their crimes for ages. They would not be freed from this torment until they paid back enough as service.

  • @VideosNoOne
    @VideosNoOne 3 роки тому +1

    Maybe thats the reason why the really vile people are send immediately to hell that used to be heaven. Because the shinigami cannot resolve their since only "god" can or whatever his spirit is in bleach.

  • @lazyfigninja
    @lazyfigninja 3 роки тому +1

    Okay. Crazy time. I'm gonna try to corroborate this theory. Think of the original Bleach verse like a coin, life and death being its two sides, part of the same cohesive universe. If you imagine heaven as a realm of pure life and hell as pure death, the "original sin" could be explained as polluting one with the other. They befouled heaven with death and brought life to what was dead. If I were to go full yin-yang you could see this as the extra dots in the bigger black/white swatches. That's why there are four worlds in Bleach: each realm gained an additional side. Instead of being holistic, they're separated. The human world is where the living die. Hell is where death lives. Hueco mundo is where life dies. Soul society is where the dead live. That could explain the human world being the "lid" to hell: it's closest to hell as a "living" world (assuming hell used to be heaven). Heaven (now hell) as a world of life could also explain why your emotions are manifest through your body as shown in the chapter, your inside self given life on the outside.
    Anyway, that's just a theory. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

    Just re read everything and was surprised to find this "hell" chapter.
    After its brief introduction in first arc and a movie, i always thought hell was woefully under utilised and after the final arc, i felt it was completely ignored by yhwach's plan
    Almost made me think that Kubo forgot of bleach's world building

    • @quannguyenminh8870
      @quannguyenminh8870 Рік тому

      I think cuz hell is far stronger than Yhwach, so he choose fusion 3 realms into 1. Yhwach wanna create the universe where no death or living, but after this chapter I think that he wanna create 1 universe where nothing will be sent to hell to taken eternal torture, and cuz he can't destroy make him choose fusion 3 realms

    It’s “tight” Kubo. Tye-teh and tea-teh are hyperforeignisms. It’s “tight” Kubo unless you are speaking in Japanese, in which case it would be “tye-toe.” Which is just how they pronounce tight (which is stylistically spelled Tite).

    That theory is interesting because that would explain why the bird boy that Chad protect at the beginning of the manga, didn’t find his mom at the soul society.
    Probably because his mother is actually in Heaven called « Hell » by shinigamis.
    That would explain why anyone in the soul society don’t help dead people to find their family.
