This was a great example of how calming flying can be at 100 feet off the deck. These two are chatting, as if they are in a car on the boulevard. Amazing really to how the quality of the plane and confidence of the pilot is..

Trent Palmer is scared of heights? Me too! I had a psychologist friend of mine tell me that the reason it doesn't bother me is that I am in control. I feel perfectly safe up there. I disagree with one thing: airplanes do fall from the sky. One of my favorite Trent Palmer videos is when he had to make an emergency landing in the middle of bum screw. "Dammit Trent, do not do this. Fly the airplane like you know how......" he said to himself. The only thing better is if his cameras were rolling during the engine-out. It was just so interesting. Great video!

Trent is so damn good he can hold a conversation while riding on one wheel. (That ain't easy BTW) He sure makes it look easy though. All the Flying Cowboys do.
One time. One time the FAA called him...was handled professionally by both parties. Sounds like a comment from a guy struggling with a wee bit of jealousy. Backcountry flying is legal over the land most BC pilots fly over. There are literally hundreds of videos by dozens of Pilots doing the same thing. It is dangerous and requires a high skill level to be sure, but if the FAA had an issue with it they'd come down on half of UA-cam. Given the remote country that they fly over if they do have an accident the only person they're going to hurt is themselves. Right now the FAA is way more interested in what poople with a drone are doing than what Backcountry Pilots are doing.
When? Give me a link. He got a talking to for landing at an RC field he had permission to land at from the RC club, but not the FAA. No suspension, just a conversation. He made a video about it.
Model Aviator Adventures it was in one of his videos. An FAA guy (on vacation with his wildlife camera stuff) caught him “water skiing” on some lake or something. He talked about it and why he got suspended.
Once again, you’ve shared more of your love of flying nut this time with a good friend who “knew you when”! Your property looks like it is close to Pyramid Lake, yes? Are you and your buddy’s going to Oshkosh again? Loved those videos of that trip and hope the flight has even more participants.

Sometimes it's easy to forget that Trent is a fantastic STOL Bush Plane Pilot. No wonder the photography is so dang great. Great tour - thanks Levi.
