India, which is set to regain the world's fastest-growing major economy title, will likely prioritize growth over fiscal consolidation by boosting spending, according to economists surveyed ahead of Tuesday's presentation of the nation's Union Budget.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will probably increase the budget by about 14% year-on-year to ₹ 39.6 lakh crore ($527 billion) in the fiscal year beginning April, according to the median of estimates compiled by Bloomberg. She is expected to leave tax rates largely unchanged, and instead rely on income from asset sales and a near-record borrowing of about ₹ 13 lakh crore to partly fund the plan, the survey showed.

Sir, could you give some explanation, how the Prime Minster, Modi, took the decision and de-monetised 86% of currency, removing Rs.1000/- and Rs.500/- fromm circulation, for whatever reason, bypassing DISCUSSION in PARLIAMENT and ITS APPROVAL. Can a PM of the country take such an action in a parliamentary democracy? Was this action of Prime Minister totally unrelated to financial aspects as the effects of de-monetisation lasted beyond the financial year 2016 - 2017 and affected the financial growth of the country?
Sir why govt should not form a public intellectuals's comity for budget analysis and public approval as opposition or CAG don't do this? If govt does not form why public should not form an ngo for this? Why an elected govt should not be under scrutiny of public on regular basis? Why govt should only have the right to all your privacy specially of your income expenditure clandestinely and public not have to challenge actions of government just because you have elected?
1)Public choose a person (s) as their representative (s) to speak in parliament or legislative assembly on behalf of them ,that means public indirectly involve in every step of legislation and also majority of elected members form a government lead by a leader called PM(for central govt.) And CM(For state govt.).this government inturn appoint employees to work for public affairs.means indirectly we as public appoint govt.servants to work for us which is called executive..so the beauty in the democratic system in our country is public is the top boss .For enlarged discussion on issues or bills parliament appointment standing committee (MPs are being members in it of both ruling and opposition parties).this committe finally gives appropriate comments and suggest modifications on the subject issue.if these committees function promptly it will cover the role of public intellectual committe.2) CAG submits appraisal report of govt.expenditure to President/governer and inturn he will to parliament/assembly means CAG role is only to audit, comment and warn/advise on the expenditure spent by governments as a watch dog and PUBLIC ACCOUTS COMMITTEE lead by opposition party member will examine and question government in the house of parliament/assembly 3) NGOs are actively doing their work for awaring public but it will be fruitful when government oblige their opinion into consideration 4)Finance minister speech while submitting the government often called as "budget speech conceals more the it reveals" because every elected government lead by a political party grab the belief of public in general elections wants to leave their foot print of their tenure but with in the limited resources it is unavoidable to give priority for some sectors like current NDA govt.. obviously gives priority for infrastructure development where as Ex.UPA govt gives more priority for welfare and socio economic development among country people.For which govt.some times acting emicably to do things and maintain secrecy.

I would like to say as a Hindu state following dharmic principles, the PM seat should be treated like Vikramaditya simhasanam and the govt follows Chanakya Neeti keeping aside all political compulsions from day one of election with only state welfare in mind. The politicians have to bear in mind that this truth will automatically win them the next election. The person in charge is given more weightage than his work. Most of the people are blind to facts unless something hits below his belt. Flocking with majority. Like you cited UPA and NDA agenda why can't present strong govt include the UPA ideas to become stronger.
