Your retwist came out amazing!! I’ve had this Loc N Gel for about 4 years now. My daughter got her hair retwist at a hair show and she had to buy the gel. I’ve only used it for my ever so slightly edges and now that I’ve loc’d my hair, I plan to use it on my loc anniversary!
Wow I am one person that has been scared to squeeze my Locs. I am 2 years 5 months in, and I bleached part of my half, a little less than half underneath for a peek a boo. During the process some slid out ( I was a year locd or close to when I bleached it) and I was freaking out. I have some that are thinner than others. I watched a video where you cut the dead parts, and I wish I had done that, but I pulled mine out. I would check the integrity of the shaft and just rip. SMH. I have also neglecting oiling my hair. I am going to get it together.I say all this to also say I plan to take over my maintenance from here on out and begin doing my own retwists. Since I have diamond parts it has always been intimidating, but I work at a school and work starts next week so this week I will be washing and retwisting my hair myself! saving coins as well. Anyways, grateful for your channel, I love your Locs, I am going to dye my blonde ones back dark possibly before I return to the work. I think I will like them more and feel beautiful again.
I'm not a professional... My loctition pots me under the dryer... To me... It makes it a harder hold ..BUT the locs don't move for about 2 weeks. Not sure if it's the dryer are to much gel.... Having said that regarding the hold.... Perfect. But I'm still in the fence about the fact that it feels greasy and the locs don't move
Ii used this gel, but I had to use clips but you didn't. What would you recommend for someone who has just started the journey? My roots always get loose in about 1 week
Im thinking about dyeing my locs for my dirty 30 in October im curious dyeing locs 4 and 5 times will your locs eventually fall out? Im really nervous about dyeing my locs cause everytime i see someone dye them they have to cut them off because of damage thinning etc so if you could educate me a lil on coloring locs or maybe drop a video on tips for mainintaining colored locs? Anyway thanks for the video 🙏🏾
AMAZING I am in the process of learning how to retwist looks so easy now I just need a head to practice on. a always cut my widow`s peak off and or part it in the middle lol
Hi! I have a question that I am praying you see. I just got my locs in January and they have only been retwisted twice ( I know but in my defense I have had a lot happening) now I am retwisting them (this time by myself, thanks to your videos) and they are coming out of the twist poofy and unraveling in the two strand twist. I have washed my hair, using oil, and a gel. What am I doing wrong? Oh and idk if this helps buy my hair is also thick. Thank you for answering (if you get a chance). Oh and love your channel. Thanks for the confidence and inspiration!
If you just got them in Jan and they are unraveling you should wait longer to do them so they can have time to lock completely. At the beginning stage of starting dreads you don’t wash your hair . I’m a certified stylist. I’ve been doing dread since 2010 and doing hair since the 2006
Yikes that was mean. 😮 it could be because of the color she has. I have the same similar color and I hate the color to after a while and noticed my locs got more dry
@@xxix_desii_xoxo4482 it cld be. But I am not going to sit here and pretend that her locs is not dry. She needs to invest in expensive loc products to bring her hair back to life. The first mistake is everything she is using is cheap. When you buy cheap products you going to have cheap results.
@@KammieB I have for sure heard of her and I may consider her product because my colored locs be dry as heck (just being honest) lol. Thank you queen. Do you ever use leave in conditioner?
@@xxix_desii_xoxo4482 lol, it’s all good. I have her entire lemongrass line which includes conditioner. I haven’t used it as a leave in. But when I wash my hair I will let it sit for 10-15 mins. If you use the entire line you won’t need a leave in conditioner. I have her lemongrass loc mist that I spray in my hair daily. Because I use it daily I do spend $50 on the 32oz. I also oil my scalp one to two times a week with the lemongrass hair oil and I use the lemongrass loc butter daily. Baby this stuff here will revive your hair. Now it’s not a magic potion. You have to be consistent. Give your hair 3-6 months to fully come back to life. But this stuff works!!!! She also have other lines. I don’t use lemongrass on my baby girl I use the peppermint lavender line on her hair. She doesn’t have color and she is only 8. This works great for her. Also, if you DM Nia on IG her crew is very responsive and will answer any questions you may have. But like I said her products isn’t cheap and you wld want to get the entire line. Just off my head I believe the 6oz loc butter is $15, 16 oz shampoo $32, 16 oz conditioner $29, I buy the 32 oz mist for $50 and I buy the 16 oz oil for $36 I believe. Now she do have smaller ones for you to try out that may be more cost effective for you. Oh I also use the loc gel and loc jelly combo for $35. But I don’t use the gel/jelly on my girls. I actually use Loc N Gel. The one used in this video. Honestly, that was the only good product she showed in this video.

It seems a little on the thick side for my hair. It leaves it stiff and that throws me off. Am I doing something wrong?

What do I do if I don’t have a micro fiber towel before retwisting my hair after washing???⁉️
Omg I have a widows peak too! I used to shave it all the time and my mom would get so mad😂
SHave omg embrace it sis so unique I got one to .does it look weird when u shave it ?
When do you wash your hair when you just start getting dreads?
This stuff is $30 for the smallest size.

@@ArieStylez18what’s your recommendation for shampoo/conditioner? I have only tried the Jamaican mango & lime brand.
Should you blow dry if you dont have a dryer to sit under?
I do that but mine don’t dry all the way so I let my air breathe
🔥🔥🔥
how often u retwist?
Fine asf 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I'm a Newbie..lol . Very helpful video.. thank you ❤
You should give us a tattoo tourr
❤❤
Why are you putting moose in your locs. All I see is build up. I'm a natural hair stylist. Locs detox will be needed later
There’s a better way to word that without coming off as “better than” try speaking with love as the motive for teaching.
Most mousse's are water based tho & wash right out, there won't be much, if any buildup
