thank u dr.i have been following ur vedios.these r so much helpful for me. *i have a question. how we differentiat calyx stone from sinus fat as both look echogenic. is there any procedure to differentiat them by usg??
Thanks for watching! A stone in the calyx will often give posterior shadowing, whereas renal sinus fat does not give shadowing. Furthermore, you can locate the stones within the calyx (calyx is funnel shaped). The renal sinus fat will be outside the calyx.
Hi I have been recently diagnosed with CKD and the ultrasound tech asked if I have had my uterus removed while ultrasound my bladder why would she ask this.
There seem to be 2 kidney stones measuring 5-6mm. Can you confirm what the word clyster is as clyster is not a correct term? It could be crystal or calculus
@@mizbee_bee1646 No surgery is needed. The stones are small. Drink plenty of water everyday and the stones will pass out by themselves. If there pain, discomfort or fever, please consult with a Urologist. Regards!
Polycystic kidneys have non-communicating cysts spread throughout the kidney. A grade 4 hydronephrosis has cortical thinning and a communicating cystic appearance with dilatation involving the calyces and renal pelvis as well.
Hello! You can differentiate between renal cyst and liver cyst by scanning the cyst in both longitudinal and transverse planes. You will be able to find the origin of the cyst. Usually, any cyst involving the renal cortex and capsule will be renal cyst, even if it appears to be inside the liver.
