Speaking of the “mystery” that the Old Covenant saints would have been looking forward to, this was definitely communicated, even the Woman of Samaria (John 4:25) was aware.

Brandon, another great video! I speak about Brazil and your videos, as well as the blog, bless us a lot. Renihan is here for classes at the Confessional Baptist Seminary of Brazil and to preach tomorrow as well.
Can I make a video suggestion? It's about the Levitical covenant. I saw that the only one dealing with it was Douglas Van Dorn; not even Renihan, in the "Mystery of Christ" addresses this covenant distinctly. Can you comment on or do a live? Thanks.

Thank you for this. I like to read more on the two-tier typology. Especially on this aspect of forgiveness. So we can say that the OT sacrifices were able to forgive them but not in the sense of the forgiveness we have in Christ.

Jeff, I'm still working on putting together resources on that question. For now, see the very last section in this post contrast2.wordpress.com/2022/04/03/re-reformed-forum-on-jer-31-typology-owen-subservient/

@@brandonadams07 Hi brother, I have a quick question.
Have you explored the details concerning the phrase in 1689 LBCF 11.1, "by imputing Christ's active obedience unto the whole law"
I've been pondering concerning the details of the "righteousness of Christ being imputed to the believers."
My question is, what is imputed to the believers, Christ's obedience to the moral law only OR his obedience to the whole law, which includes ceremonial and civil law?
What does the whole law mean? Moral Law or the entire Mosaic Law?
I read J.V. Fesko on this and he mentioned Featly who "believed that the word whole was redundant because this would entail, in his mind, Christ’s obedience to the ceremonial law, something for which believers were not responsible." [J.V. Fesko, Death in Adam, Life in Christ. ch. 3]
Another question that I think may follow is Christ's fulfillment of the whole law which includes moral, civil, and ceremonial as indicated in the New Testament.
Do you think that the above implies a dilemma if we say that the righteousness of Christ imputed to us is only his obedience to the moral law since He obviously fulfilled the law and the prophets (moral, civil, and ceremonial).
I am thinking if this can be answered if we consider the two-tier typology. Christ fulfilling level 1 (civil and ceremonial) and level 2 (moral-spiritual).
