Before Your Eyes tells the story of Benjamin Bryann and all of his turmoils as a child. It begins by presenting the main mechanic - your eye blinks, which are calibrated at the start of the game. I played it on Android with Netflix Games. I came to this game with no expectations and ended tearing up at the end.
The game starts with Ben's soul reaching the underworld on a boat going towards a tall tower, accompanied with a cat-like person. It begins by presenting Ben's life. You have multiple choices for his life decisions, such as sleeping at the beach with his neighbor friend before an audition. Every choice is done by blinking at the icon. Once a metronome appears you move to the next scene in Ben's life. However, as Ben's soul begins to ascend the tower, the true story is revealed to us.
Before Your Eyes conveyed an emotional narrative through eye blinks, and managed to be short (only 1.5 hours to beat) and impactful.
