I think the suction isn’t enough. I’ve had my tongue suctioned to the roof of my mouth my whole life, but I’ve always had a tendency to pull it down with my lower jaw. It stays suctioned, but my palette isn’t being pressed at all, especially the sides. Once I apply pressure, I can feel how narrow my palette has gotten.
I have extreme chronic pain in my neck and back and my jaw is always tensed. I had a weird exercise prescribed to me which pushed my tongue hard. I just try this - it works! This is great!
Dude, unbelievable...I tried mewing in the past the hard way. I never stuck to it because it was really dificult and and needed to be focused all the time on it. With this tip, I did it first try, and my tongue stuck in the roof of the mouth perfectly with no effort at all. Thanks!

@@wij07 get the part of your tongue that naturally sits up in place, relax, and then do the swallowing motion. This makes it easier so the focus in on the back of your tongue.
The only problem is that most people who need mewing can't actually do it. You probably cannot breath cause your palad is too narrow and the tongue is covering the inner air tube
Just do hard mewing for a couple of seconds at the time. After about 4 months it was able to hold my tongue there more consistently. Now I can do it while breathing normally.
Wrong, I felt the same way but kept doing it for months, I can do it much easier now, been doing it for 2 years now. Only noticeable difference was my side profiles and my face looks thin, but definitely not chiseled.

I’ve heard it depends on your bite. If you have a deep bite it’s good to keep your teeth like a mm open. And if you have a normal bite then your teeth should just touch, not press.

The Pharynx connects the mouth and the nasal passages so there will never be a total under pressure as long as you're breathing. There can be between your tongue and your palate though.
