This wasn't on the list, but I was once the bus listening to Cell Block Tango through my headphones while some guy was...I guess he was trying to hit on me. He kept brushing his leg against mine and finding excuses to talk to me. I, of course, wasn't interested and it seemed like perfect timing when the last line of the second verse played. I just turned to him and stated, "you know some guys just can't hold their arsenic." Suddenly, I had a very peaceful ride after that.

Back in the 1990's I played the Wolf in a community theater production of "Into the Woods" (someone else played Prince Charming) .
This was the first solo I had had in years, so I was very nervous. I recorded it and played it on my walkman every chance I got.
      Until...
One day during my lunch break at work, I went for a walk, so I could practice. I didn't realize that I was passing a school, until someone tapped me on my shoulder.
A coworker, on her way back from lunch heard me. She just said "I really don't think you want to sing that here." I was mortified!

The internal conflicts about that…

When my daughter was about 7, we were listening to the Avenue Q soundtrack on the way to Home Depot. We don’t censor Broadway in this house, any of it. We discuss instead of censor. Anyway, kiddo’s nickname was Boogs. So when we’re walking in, I riffed on that song…”The internet is for Boogs,” and then she loudly, LOUDLY, chastised me. “NO, Mom! The internet is for porn!” I nearly died!

"American Dream" is his best-known number, but the lesser-known "What a Waste"- good Lord, that song is RAUNCHY.
