Well worth the cost IMHO, it does the job against rust very well, I have used other products and they have fallen short of the Eastwood products from an endurance and wearing standpoint.
My intent is for the frame to be fairly clean and intact 30 years in the future.
It was not an issue painting over surface rust on this 21 year old truck frame, nor do I think having the surface area perfectly clean was necessary, I did clean it beforehand (but only minimally).
