The craftsmanship is very good, but it looks heavy. You might get it to fly with a Subaru Turbo Four cylinder engine and a reduction drive on the propeller. You cannot make those things out of wood.
There are a lot of very nice wooden airplanes, many of them aerobatic, so you definitely can make flying things out of wood. But this one is not a good example of a flyable aircraft. Wing ribs are very heavy and weak, and that wing spar... mmmmm
The gear and wing ribs look heavy, the landing gear looks heavy and the engine looks like a little 2 cylinder Franklin or equivalent riding lawnmower engine.
The proof is in the pudding. We never did see it fly. How do we even know that it is airworthy? Skillful woodworker? Yes. Building a flying airplane??? To be determined.
I don’t think it can fly. There is no enough power to produce lift, the center of gravity is not balanced, it can’t handle the pressure when it’s up in the air.

I'd guess too heavy to fly, also on his wood ribs a number of cross bracing are transverse cuts. Not longitudinal. That would make for easy failure due to vibration...

Building an aircraft is a very hard and complicated thing, even if you can’t make this plane fly properly, you can do one that flies if you keep up.
