I love it when Europe isn't the center of focus in these kinds of awards. Football is growing worldwide and many great players and leagues deserve recognition despite no TV deals.
I'm sorry but this lineup would get destroyed by so many European clubs. They are putting two strikers that haven't proven themselves in the toughest Leagues ahead of Halaand, Mbappe, Hary Kane, Osimhen, etc. I'll bet my nutsack that if those two strikers played in LA liga, Epl or Serie A, they won't even get half the numbers they are getting now. And they are putting an MLS star who's 5'3 ahead of the likes of De Bruyne, Bruno, Bernardo, Odegaard, Maddison, Pedri, etc. This is definitely not the Best XI. This is more like "Players that I think are the best"

This TOTY refers to all leagues and has a variety of players, showing that you really care about what you're doing and do a lot of research but I don't think players who got their first impressive season will be compared to European giants. I mean, Kane will obviously have a part in the attack, other skilful wingers too etc. The team is creative but extremely hard to actually happen.
Both Hancko and Giménez really stood out this calender year. Both would've been great in this team. Though I can't name a defender from the J-League you'd need to complete the switch. Or play a very attacking 3-4-3...
This video is great because it highlights those that do not have the luxury of being in a wealthy club that tends to win trophies. For the vast majority of teams now, it's no longer about winning trophies, but just having a good season. What that says about modern football is a much larger topic, but it's always good to highlight the outstanding players who have also done excellent.
As an FC Cincinnati fan Lucho Acosta has been amazing for us. For those who don’t know when we got into the league in 2015 we were dead last 3 seasons in a row. 2021-2022 season helped us make our first ever playoff appearance and obviously this year he’s set the caliber for what we want our club to be he’s like a mini Messi and pretty sure they are decent friends as well

I really liked this video. This team is well balanced across age and nationality, and shows that there are footballers who are absolutely balling everywhere, not just in Europe. Plenty of players mentioned who I'd never heard of.
Picking a Eredivisie player in the wrong position when Santi Gimenez has been sensational this year is just wrong. You talk about improvement being a huge factor, Gimenez scored just 7 league goals in 2022. The man has over 30 in 2023 and in a new league. There is absolutely no reason to not include him in this list.
Hancko plays left back for his country, so it isn't totally out of position. He also has played at least some minutes at left back for feyenoord. Gimenez is a star but Hancko is probably almost as important for Feyenoord
