Natural Bridge / Shenandoah NP Road Trip November 2023

Join us on our camping road trip to Natural Bridge, Virginia! We parked at a Cracker Barrel parking lot outside of Knoxville, TN, on the first night. On the second day, we stopped at the town park in Buchanan, VA, where we had lunch, did some geo-caching, and explored a wooden swinging bridge. We then checked into our campsite at Natural Bridge KOA, where we relaxed by the fire and enjoyed the beautiful grounds of the campground. On day three, we visited Natural Bridge State Park, where we explored the Natural Bridge, Salt Peter Mine Cave, and the underground river before making our way to the end of the trail to see Lace Falls. We then went to the Discovery Center, where we hiked the Skyline Trail and had a lovely picnic for lunch. After more geo-caching and exploring the surrounding areas, we returned to the Natural Bridge again before closing to enjoy the beauty. On day four, we visited Shenandoah National Park, where we stopped at the visitor center and found some hiking trails before having lunch. We rounded out our trip by hiking the Stoney Man via the Appalachian Trail to enjoy some amazing views. The fall colors were breathtaking, and the wildlife was everywhere. The sunset was indeed out of this world!
