Keep an eye out for Albion guards doing random checks on pedestrians I’ve been lucky a couple times and had the guard arrest a pedestrian with really great and unique skills but with one thumbs down Wait for the guard to hand cuff them and then perform a rescue It’s risky but worth it The pedestrian you rescued will instantly be willing to join up after
I noticed that you can arrest them yourself if playing an Albion Enforcer. Arrest them, wait a bit, then release. They'll be happy you rescued them and want to join. Instantly releasing doesn't work. They need to be arrested for a bit.
You can use a delivery drone, drop its package and use it to pick up mask boxes from hidden locations without using the spider bot or going there yourself. It's the same way you pick up the red boxes with the cargo drone.
When you're in enemy territory and you encounter one enemy in something like a tunnel or whatever, as long as you're out of sight from the other enemies in the area, you can take that enemy out and the rest won't know you're there. Even if you don't just do takedown but go into a melee fight. As long as no one sees you fighting, you will be able to continue unseen after defeating that one enemy. This might sound obvious, but those who played wd2 know that when one of them spots you there, everyone instantly knows where you are. Oh yeah and drones open doors.
I cant believe the game doesnt point out that you can shoot from vehicles.... Thanks for filling us in! Had my first play session today and wouldn't have figured that out for a loooooong time
Something else very useful is acquiring a Stage Magician as early as you can. the hypnotize ability is very good especially when you see a room with a lot of enemies and you use it on one of those armored enemies
Yeah, everyone forgot to mention you have to get to the Bloody Kelly mission before unlocks recruits and lets you recruit special members like spy, hitman, or Magician.
You can use street performers to earn a slow, but steady about of money. As an example, use a “living statue” ability “statue pose” go to a crowded area and npc’s will give a steady flow of 10 eto Avery 4 or so seconds. It’s great for leaving on for a while if you want to earn some free cash
You can recruit faster if you recruit one the character family or friends, it will also be added automatically to your team, that's what i discovered the other day
just started playing watch dogs legion and really dont understand negative critics - this game is abolutely amazing, graphics are insane ane mechanic - no mechanics are trully most original I ever have seen… so many different approaches makes this game that versatile it just cant get boring….
After realizing the nail gun is silent while lethal I like it more than the stun gun but I also have the deface pistol max upgraded which includes a silencer
My best operator is an Albion Elite that I've found in the Assassin Tomb that spawned with a silenced MP5 (glitched I suppose because I've never found another albion with silent weapons and elites usually use shotguns) and in combo with that Elite Cloak make a deadly operator.
Also with a max upgraded spiderbot infiltrator you get 2-3 takedowns depending on how you hide and if you use your skills correctly what I always did was sneak behind an enemy kill him disrupt another enemy kill him and use the cloak and kill another enemy
I would really like a sort of "hardcore" game mode where characters need to be proficient with specific items to use them, similarly to how only character with weapon training (and already owning a gun) can use lethal weapons in the game currently. So only characters that already owned flying drones could hack and control flying drones, and only characters that are proficient in hacking can hack certain systems (like turrets, drones, lifts etc.), especially with a flying drone. That way you were forced to use specific characters for specific missions. As it is now, you can basically completely every mission with only one character even if he has no skills at all. You just unlock tech everyone can use, and he's good to go.
If you recruit some one for a weapon that other agents can use, you can then make them retire off of dedsec to get the weapon and not loose a character slot
Once you unlock the deep profiler you never have to do a recruitment mission Getting someone on your side could be as easy as beating them in darts or killing the hitman that's after them
I don't know how many people know this but you can do a micro side missions to recruit someone instead of the big side missions and it's so much easier
Yup, it gives you harder hitting, stunning attacks that lead into executions (or takedowns with a non-lethal ranged weapons) after one or two hits on most enemies, with the risk of course that your foes will switch to ranged weapons.
I thought this was like a stealth hacking game, but it seems louder and faster. I know there are lethal weapons in the other two Dog Watching games, but I've never played them firsthand.
Thanx for this. No idea how effective the fuckin stun gun was😂 Something you could add; I found it increadablly effective to fully upgrade both flying combat drone's first. Aside from the spider. The ability to tell the strongest drone to betry, one you can hack, & still have a disable opinion... Their drones are always my drone's 🤣
Just bought legion and I’m already set on combing the turret spider bot the homing spider bot and the cargo drone to make a hack buster (Watch dogs version of hulk buster)

@@stevenbobbybills The one degree of seperation in the Deep Profiler shows your actions effect the happy/angry of their people... I can recruit a person, by helping their wife. So their wife can become hostile, if I kill their husband. There is an assumption that "killing" is weighted more than "injure"... but I did feel I was getting less of them after I stopped using Hitman.
@@boxhead6177 every single kidnapper that showed up for me had a personal vendetta based on being assaulted by one of my characters and surviving, I haven't seen one that was a relative of an enemy yet. Besides, you can still use the Hitman's instant takedowns and combat roll if you equip them with a non-lethal weapon such as the LTL Goblin or MCX from another recruit. (Any characters can use any weapon in the same class as the weapon they came with, and the Hitman's G36 is in the same class as two non-lethal rifles. Plus, you can actually retire a character that you hired just for their weapon and still keep the weapon, you don't even have to equip it).
@@boxhead6177 I just had an operative kidnapped over the kidnapper's cousin being killed, I think it's been roughly even for me and I mostly use lethal characters, but often use non-lethal stealth takedowns. It's a toss up.
Boomstick gaming, pretty sure there's a way to unlock to 3d printer somehow, its in the hideout and you can hear toons talking in the world about how its easy to get guns if you have a 3d printer just has to be unlocked and something about spools
I wish they focused more on silenced weapons. Like maybe have a silenced rifle or shotgun not just a pistol. The game just came out tho so maybe they will add more weapons
@xbloodblade you do know that in almost every stealth game silencers and suppressors are used to make the gun quiet right? It's not the same as the real world. Also it a stealth game how is a silencer not going to be useful? Also their was a silenced rifle in watch dogs 1 and 2. Their was also a air shotgun that was silent.
@xbloodblade sure it's not a stealth game but saying most of the stuff in this game isn't stealth is wrong. Also it's in the future with technology that is pretty high tech so I dont think a silencer for a shotgun would be far fetched.
Somewhat I haven't played this game in forever & there was an exploit at the time I was playing where you could see all their abilities & keep leaving & coming back forcing them to change till it matched up to the ones you want. I had a spy that could also use hypnosis lol 😆 I'll have too look at it again when my new TV comes in
I did manage to get a bee keeper from a random rescue. You keep doing them you can also find relatives to the original team long as you don't recruit them it'll be passed to another random. You can also deep profile to find out when they'll encounter a rare npc & go there recruite that npc. Cancel the deep profile mission once their in sight save them make them a member & redo it again as many times as you want. They'll also have different stats & abilities once respawned. Hopefully that wasn't fixed
Also if you want to steal a motorcycle just make it go backwards 2-3 times and the person just gets off and you can take it with cops around and everything

@@301Made I honestly think it is worth it. Maybe not full price, but that's more personal, but definitely a game I'll actually *buy* once my ubisoft + subscription ends next month. Then again, I think maybe you should try it before, if possible (like Ubi+), because I obviously can't tell you what you'll like or not in it, unless you have very specific questions. I knew I'd buy it only a couple of hours into it to be honest. Enjoyed WD1, Loved WD2, this one's a banger to me.
If the weapon type of the characters is the same then you can switch them, for example?: Albion enforcer: M249 Clan kelley enforcer: Negev You can switch them between eachother because they are both light miniguns, atleast that's what I've noticed for most operators.
I know that In watch dogs 2 when u ran out of ammo u would get some ammo back after waiting a couple of seconds I wonder if that same mechanic will be in legion 🤔
So far, only drones that have this. (CT drone can refill its missiles in a couple of seconds) Human operative must look for ammo box or scavenge them from fallen enemies to refill their ammo sadly, at least so far it's been that way for me
Pro tip if you regret playing permadeath ironman mode especially if the game's buggy shenanigans kill your favorite character. Pause a split second after the death screen, then ALT F4 out of there. On Console, simply unplug your system, If you did it right, your character should have a second chance. or fifth.
You can't, any Deadsec recruit can use the 4 non-lethal weapons... all other weapons are specific to the characters. Some characters may allow you to switch between a variety of weapons. (one had a semi-automatic rifle, but I also found he had a full automatic rifle that was not-listed in his character sheet)
@@cuppedcup Notice that only recently, but it does seem to be contexted on the type of weapon. Rifle owners can switch to other rifles (including the non-lethal version) if another NPC has it on them. I think lethal pistols can be switched too if you own more pistol owners.

Bonus tip, use the shock drone similar to how the stun gun is used! Great for permadeath mode.

Yeah, in general recruitment leads are wayyy faster than doing recruiting missions. I've recruited 12 people in under an hour doing this
Less killing = less revenge kidnapping missions.
Wouldn't you have more missions if you kill less, since a non-lethally defeated target is more likely to kidnap your friends than a corpse?

After you've finished the first few beats of the story, I definitely saw more of them start cropping up after Skye and Kelley.
The first time you see the captains with special abilities is at the end of the skye larsen mission, then they will start appearing everywhere.

How do you unlock guns for operatives? I haven't figured out quite yet. I found a good looking character but I want to give him a g36. How do i?
