Awesome video I was planning on doing that. I was thinking go to my local junkyard pick one up. How many miles your vehicle have? I’m having a low idle I did everything except the filter I haven’t looked at it yet. Did you notice any difference?
This air filter housing before buying it, says it excludes PZEV. Didn't notice it before I installed this, and now have P0171 System Too Lean Bank 1. Car runs rough sometimes and makes the RPMS fluctuate when idling.
Well.. I called my husband and he used to own a gas station and still owns a garage w/ a life and he said exactly what you said: there is no such thing as a life time "AIR FILTER" I bought one for my son to put in the car.. from Rock Auto.. and I will have my soon replace it..
Anyone know what filter number or for what car to get for these air boxes? I got one. Similar design but not the same as his for my 2005. And cannot find a perfect fitting filter.
So, air box from rock auto eliminates everything? One no longer needs to service the air filter by taking the tjre or inner fender well off? And you can replace the air filter? Thank you.
My research seems to indicate that the driver's side wheel still needs to come off, & the inner fender liner, then there are 2 butterfly boltsthat hold the air filter in.
@@kajutisg yea, that's the case. I bought it and yes, you do have to take the wheel off and the inner fender. It's not too bad, at least you can replace the filter and not the whole unit.
@@markiskool Yeah. I have the similar replacement airbox on order for my 2006 ZXW from Rockauto. I am hoping that I will be able to track down a filter for the new airbox, here in Canada. Luckily our 2010 Focus uses a conventional filter & not one of the lifetime garbage units.

Well. everything surte lasts it's own lifetime so TECHNICALLY everything is a lifetime part
What size bolts do you need for the new air cleaner

Any idea if this will fit a 2005?
I went to Rockauto to order this and when I typed in the number in the search it said not found
part number in description is wrong
Does this just take the OEM air-filters then as also seen on RockAuto's website(Triangle looking ones)?
For example: DENSO 1433326
Mine is like his. But I think the non lifetime are the triangle ones
The part is out of stock and i called autozone and i told them the code and nothing pops up

Has your vehicle passed the smog test?

@@jessed6379 get the filter for a 1991 to 1996 Saturn SL2, I did and it works wonderful
