I forgot to put the prices on the video when I edited it, and well...I am too lazy to redo it and reupload. So if you are curious, the pig ear appetizer was $8.99, the tomato beef brisket soup was $18.99, the Oreo soufflé pancake was $13.99 and the boba milk teas were $6.49 each.
Aloha Misty: Nice to see style of noodle available on Oahu. I can imagine the food was delicious! Reminds me that I have to visit Pearlridge - it has been a long time. Mixing rice with the soup-base must have been a yummy one. Hope you try the rice noodles with the bone-broth next time - it should be yummy and healthy! Great vlog. Looking forward to the next find! Best wishes to you and Aiden, fellow 🐯! Much 🧧!
Aloha Bill! I'd love e to try the bone broth too. Pearlridge has a bunch of newer restaurants that opened up. One of them is in the old Monterey Bay Canners location by the watercress farm. It's now teppanyaki and sushi. We'd like to go there one day. Have a great week! 🤙😊
@@FoodFiend I would look forward to your visit to the new teppan yaki restaurant, which is located at the former Montery Bay Canners site. The dining-choices on Oahu has improved a lot, and I am glad that there are so many different options to choose from. Be sure to keep-up the great vlogging and enjoy each moment! Best wishes to you and Aiden! Much aloha! 🤙
Hey, I actually ate at a place before you reviewed it! Unfortunately for me, it's a "no repeat." I mean, the noodles were fine, but I ordered the beef brisket noodles and literally had maybe 4 small pieces of meat. I didn't care for most of the add-ons on the tray either. I felt it was not worth the $19 price. But yeah, the service was fast, and the soup was piping hot. My go-to place for beef noodles is Mian at the 808 Sheridan complex or Hong Kong Noodle House near Royal Kitchen at the Chinese Cultural Plaza. But as always, TEHO....glad you liked it!
I liked my tomato broth and the things in it. I do agree I wished there was more brisket. I liked it though and would go back again. I did want to do a Chinese video of different regional cuisines and Mian was on my list. But that's just an idea floating in my head. And I'm getting lazier with videos. One day I'll try it! Thanks for your suggestions. 🤙
I think we're gonna try this place next week. I know for sure that we're going to check out Chicken & Brisket at Pearl Highlands. I saw that one of our former co-workers posted pics on his FB. I was gonna suggest it but I just watched your video on that place. Also, I like the intro music you're playing on your videos. Cool jams.
Awesome Wyllie! I hope you like both restaurants. I think it's better that they're in Pearl Highlands because the old Kalihi location is terrible with the rail construction. I'm glad you like the music. 🤙
I love the serving of rice noodles in the warmer !LOOKS DELICIOUS ! Souffle' pancakes, bubble waffles,& boba tea yummy ! Mahalo for sharing Misty & Aiden !
Thanks again! Have a great weekend too! Remember Seafood Buffet up in Pearl Ridge years ago, extended family Gerald and Kazuko took us there :)@@FoodFiend
Aloha DK! This is actually a Chinese chain restaurant and they have 750 restaurants around the world. This is Chinese cuisine from the Yunnan province. Very interesting and different from Cantonese cuisine from what we are used to. I liked it. 👍
Aloha Misty. I love seeing these places to dine at and I had always wanted to try those souffle pancakes they look super ono! Mahalo for another great video.
Hello Misty, foods look good, I do like crunchy pig ears salads, we’re going to Oahu in April so probably going to try this place. Thank you for sharing your video, Aiden's such a brave boy. Have a great weekend Misty. Peace.
He doesn't want to be filmed and there are certain restrictions on UA-cam about filming kids and using them in videos so I try not to. But he is my eating buddy. He is very polite but when he's around new company he can get loud.
It wasn't weird to me at all. The flavoring they put on it was nice. I like the pig ear that is crunchy in lechon of its a full pig roasted. Just don't think about the ear wax 🤣
thanks for sharing!!! I Love Pig Ears cooked Chinese style. Haven't had it in a long time and don't know how to cook them, but good to know they're featured on a menu still! Plus, think of all the collagen! Glad you enjoyed it on your first try!
Steve wanted to try this restaurant last time we were there, but we didn't have enough time to do it. I am glad to see you like this restaurant, it looks good. The rice noodles, particularly.
Oh wow Misty!! What a cool place. I already like the name with 10 second noodles so I know it would be prompt. The Ube drink and souffle Pancakes got me!:) and the noodles look good too. Not sure if I'll eat the pig ears but heck.. I'll do it for a video. Lol. Mahalo for another great review Misty. I'll def end up going here 🤙👍
Aloha Sean and Nhi! Yes the tomato broth was so good! I am not sure about the other broths but you can test them for science! 🤣 I think you'd like the pig ears. It tasted good too! Think of Rap's Hawaii saying, "Today's special is pickled pigs feet. Ono you know!" 🤣 can't wait to hear your thoughts on the food! She said not many people know of it and I didn't either until someone mentioned it. So vlogging it would help her out. Anna is super nice. 😊
So much has changed. I remember when there was nothing in Pearl Ridge, Phase II, but a Famous Amos downstairs & a ramen place next to the movie theater...circa 1980s.
You always introduce me to new food and I appreciate that. Ear fungus sounded terrible so I had to look it up. Now I will try it 😂. Thanks for the review!
The names restuarants come up with in Hawaii are the best haha. Those plastic chopsticks at some noodle amd dim sum spots are a challenge eh. They always just give wooden instead at mei sum. This spot small kine reminded me of Anytime Cafe in kaimuki, I saw it closed. Desert looked ono!
Yeah those dang chopsticks! 🤣 This is actually a Chinese franchise and they have over 750 restaurants around the world. That's probably why it's a funny name. 😊
Aloha. The pig ears are not spicy. None of the food I had here was spicy at all. The pig ears would have like a Chinese five spice or star anise type seasoning on it. Mahalo!

LOL never thought of it that way! Yes good way to clear the plate and not throw out too much trash. I don't like to waste food either. The soup with added rice at home made 2 more meals!
