I would love to see a video of you buying an (old vintage) iwata hp-a or hp-b off eBay or something, and stripping it down, rebuilding and upgrading it with new parts, bringing it back to its fighting weight. Then you do a painting with it, proving it’s worthy to still stand in the ring. I always see people drooling over new airbrushes, while they are unaware at just how great some of the older 30+ year old brushes really were. Like a wake up call / introduction to a brush that is still worth picking up even in today’s standards. I know you probably get a million video ideas thrown at you daily. Just thought this might be a cool idea. However, if you don’t do a video like this, it’s also cool, cause then the prices of the old ones will continue to drop. If there is no interest in them, the price stays low. Haha
The fact you can put the guts of many H&S brushes into another one is why I love them so much. You want to use bits of an Infinity in a Colani or vice versa you can do....who cares about why, the fact you can is amazing.
Should have said I've put the trigger from my CoP Infinity into my CR Plus. The CoP has the 0.4 needle and the CR has the 0.15. I've got the triple seal in the CR along with your trigger mod, that plus the CoP trigger is really nice. I do want to get the Giraldez Infinity at some point, but will want another CoP trigger for it. Warrick did say they would make it available, didn't say when though
That's why h+s brushes are so good you can interchange not a problem, big up to h+s on that one haven't tried reducing size on my ultra yet but when I do will contact you first , thanks for the vid mukka , always a pleasure never a chore😉😉😉
If only they dialed in trigger response to be like the Iwata CMs etc. I just offloaded my older H&S because they said parts weren't interchangeable with new ones
I upgraded my Ultra 2024 with a 0.2 set and put on Giraldez sketch caps. I have the ability for the smallest details, I like the trigger tension on the Ultra.
I have to clear a space in the shed and make a work space before I can buy one as well as a home for it inside. the shed is not insulated and the heat of the summer and the cold in the winter not so good for paint or the compressor. Your videos are great. I am looking forward to doing the obstacle course stuff. Your video on paints and inks was helpful,I think I will be trying the inks to start with Thanks again for the words of wisdom.
H&S have nailed it with the new trigger configuration in the 2024 Ultra I have, I stopped using my Infinty because of it but if the upgraded trigger in the Ultra can be made to fit I will carry out the mod to make it the brush it always should've been.
Another great video mate, I love H&S kit. I used my Paasche Millennium the other day, trigger came out during cleaning, thought I had back in okay - nope! 15 minutes to get it right/tensioned. That never happens with H&S kit/triggers.👍👍😊😊💜💜
Best trigger Badger Sotar 2020 from what I own I have an old Badger 100 F as well, a HS Infinity, couple of bigger things like SATA Jet, Minijet. Couple of month ago restarted with the fine stuff.
I have the Infinity CR+ and the older Ultra and the 2024 Ultra. I get on ok with them and the triggers are nice, I shall have to buy caps for the two Ultras, I don't know why they don't come with the kits.
Painted with my today. It felt a bit weird actually, paint splatters drops. When I looked it sprayed down. And paint being around the tip. So I took it all apart and cleaned it. So that rhetorical tip was bent ;( but I fixed it and now I hope it’s working again. Have a evo 24. Squidmar edt. So very nice to use apart from today, donno how it got bent though. Kids? Me? Try to be careful. Great video as always ❤
Great video and thanks have already upgraded my new ultra and find the small cup that came with the previous version fits great. Trigger catches sometimes but that may be user error. Just loving H+S at the moment.
I'm waiting for the Infinity 2024 to come out, to see if it does me a better justice than my Evo 2024 and replacement, so far. I've been waiting weeks now for new seals to arrive. All threads on arrival were locked way too tight. Trigger click almost sorted. Spring to trigger now lubed, no longer dry like on arrival. No dig at you, I know you love these brushes, but with all due respect they will make sure the likes of my brush won't be sent to you, for review. Release should be close now. You give me hope with this very usefull video, Great job Mr.
And just like that, the Evo front end was sold out. 😣 Do you know if H&S do a fan cap that would fit the Ultra 2024? (Sorry if you answer this later in the video. Have paused it to go after that Evo bit and just about to carry on watching now)
Once again this bloke does not disappoint, thanks! I was hoping to watch you talk about that "siamese" Evolution, I know it goes way back and it is a "revisited" solution, you've put it there just to tease guys with a "clinical eye" like me. One can see that the lego caracter has passed the two previous tests (trigger and parkour training) with flying colors!😁
Recently bought an Evo 2024 as part of my return to airbrushing; my others are an old Paasche V and an, um, Aztek. Never mind, eh? Overall I'm quite keen on the Evo - although if the Infinity 2024 were out, I might have been swayed. Trigger is good, being able to back off the trigger tension would be nice; not having to unscrew the aircap to clean the tip (Paasche!) is a godsend. Running with the 0.28mm head for now just to get used to it, but have the .45 too. The micro cup is great - until you try to backflush to mix paints, in which case it's going to spit... It's much less fussy about cleaning than the Paasche and not needing tools to dismantle it (if it needs it) is useful. That said, I've got all the tools beside the other brushes anyway. Oddly, one of the biggest game changers has been a QR hose with a MAC valve; now all my brushes can run off the same hose and I don't need to faff with the compressor to drop the air down. Far more intuitive.
Thanks for the feedback I know what you mean about the tension adjuster that's all the evo needs for it to be spot on 👍but that's where the infinity comes Into play
Very good video Do you think the new infinity will have interchangeable parts with the old one, I'm referring to the needle holder, trigger... so you don't have to buy the entire airbrush? Thanks
is it possible to put an evo 2204 spring into ultra 2024? I've changed the nozzle to 0,2 as well and it's worked as a treat but I tried my friends old evo and the spring is waaaaay better in my opinion
I changed from Badger that I used a lot of years . Last the "Aircobra" from Ammo by Mig, which is in Fact a Thayer and Chandler/Badger to the Evo 2024. I was not sure what I would get.. The Evo or the Infinity. The Infinity 2024 is not on the market yet.. so my choice was the new Evo. And it was a step in another world. All so smooth, so easy to clean. I love the Evo. The Badger wasn't "bad" at all! I still have my first Badger, a 100 g which I bought ca 40 years ago. This Brush works still fine! But changing to the H&S was my best decision. Maybe you can tell me.. is it possible to put the Infinity Quick fix in the new Evo? I know you can buy a complete back for her, but I will not lost the cutout. The complete backs are solid.. thanks!
I have the Infinity Chameleon and I'm so disappointed with this airbrush. It was the first high end brush I bought and could never get it to spray properly. Put it on the shelf and switched to micron. Still enjoy your videos though.
I tell you what mate it's great to see a company like this that releases upgraded air brushes but you are still able to use the parts from the older version on the new one👌this is something you don't get with full size spray guns, one comes to mind is the 4600 the new gun is pretty much the same apart from the aircap but you can't interchange them with the old version as the thread is slightly different, another make I own has a slightly different design for the nozzle but again you cant use them on the older one as the thread is slightly different😠🤬 I better bugger off before the YT police come knocking on my door🙄🫣🤣

Me to was going to say the same. There's stuff in groups about creos parts fitting them. I don't trust it though like I do dredd.

Nice 👌 I've tried the 0.2mm I that brush aswell works a treat
Hi Rob I'm new to Airbrushing got my self Ultra 2024 keep it up showing us how to mix the paint plus I have coming to is some new ink cheers Stephen
I really like the Cult of Paint Infinity trigger, still waiting for H&S to make it an accessory
Yes I really like the cult of paint trigger aswell as you can turn it round if your left or right handed
Super video 👍👍
Thank you glad you enjoyed it 👍

Hi Rob I’ve got a older evo and the 2024, even the triggers and needle carriers fit the older brush make the older brush better

Had a brain fart doesn't fit I had another cap from a cheap brush that was in the box. Sorry for misleading you

You can take the trigger from a Evolution 2024 and put it in the Ultra 2024.
