I’ve got lots of comments about pairing the Pro controllers with the Quest 2. I did try it but it’s not supported yet. Hopefully in a future update it will work and I can test it.
I love how this game makes you feel like you're the greatest swordsman when you're in there, but in the real world, you look like the wacky inflatable arm man.
Pro tip: start playing like you are actually swinging a sword. Follow through, don't just move your wrists. Make it a daily meditation. If you are playing expert+ and your arms, back, neck, and shoulders don't hurt, consider yourself a pathetic weakling who will get crushed on the battlefield by monsters like me.
@@DoniMusic if your body hurts and your arms an extreme amount after only one hour of beat saber, there is something wrong with your beat saber method, it also doesn't give you motivation to do beat saber every day as the pain will persist for a week or two. You also wont be able to improve in beat saber if you take more time recovering from the muscle pain than playing the game. Got it from experience of playing constant Expert+ maps every day. Btw you cant even use your whole arm in higher bpm maps. It makes your gameplay actually worse as you have to move your entire arm in a 200° arc just to get maximum points on a slice. Which your wrists can do extremely quickly without wasting more stamina.

OMFG, That tracking looks mental. I know it isnt that impressive coming from a PSVR and quest 1 but I find that I miss cubes if I am not looking at them, i know that Lighthouse tracking would fix that but It was too much trouble. Those controls will be fantastic!
I don't believe the AR tech is refined enough but in the future it'd be fun to have a BeatSaber AR mode where the blocks are pop'ing out of portals or objects in our real room!
I still can't get my head around the speed that she handles all of the cubes. Is it muscle memory or is she reacting in real time? Either way it's amazing!
I'm not trying to hate in any way, but it really looks harder with the not very good ingame footage. I would say she is has decent skill. I myself wouldn't say that I'm good at the game. And to answer your question. After some playtime it all comes down to muscle memory as your brain definitely can't comprehend this many diffrent cuts in such a short time. It just recognizes the pattern and your arms just kinda do their thing. A great example is Taichi's play on GHOST (2020 Halloween+++++++++ VIP) 4-LANE. (There also is a 8-LANE Version of the normal song). I personally think, that Taichi is one of the most impressive Players in the world and I highly recommend you check him out.
@@marci8746 I disagree. Your brain can definitely comprehend this many cuts. It's called "looking ahead". You memorise every block from the closest to furthest blocks before you slice them and therefore you don't require using your reflexes to slice the blocks, instead you're using your memory. Some people do rely purely on muscle memory/general memorisation of the map, but obviously that doesn't really require 'pure skill' per se. If you just do a stream over and over, obviously you'll eventually pass it. But to do it on 1st try you have to feel the rhythm and look far ahead to know how to slice without using your reflexes (although it most cases you probably will need to use some reflexes regardless, unless you're a prodigy). But in most cases, it's a mix of both really, because obviously there's a TON of patterns in Beat Saber maps, so naturally you get better at those patterns over time. Also, watching back footage does make it look harder than it is. I'm nowhere as good as her, couldn't even beat the hardest Ghost difficulty if I tried for days/weeks, but having done Ghost Expert mode and similar difficulty songs, it honestly looks insane to me when I play them back. It's like, unless you're trying to keep up, you won't be able to keep up with the video because of how fast it is. Lowkey feels like a superpower which you can enable at will.
