    Hi Johnny, absolute craftsmanship! Quick question, would you consider using slate bullnose steps and boarder with a porcelain inlay and if so which grout would you use when grouting. All the best mate 👍keep up the fantastic work 👏

    Great video! Thanks for taking the time to make them all. Just a quick question about half bond laying. I’m using a 600 x 600 mm porcelain and wondering which way to lay. Do you have any videos describing how to lay half bond? Do you mark the half way mark on 1 slab and match up to the ends of the previous 2 slabs and a spacer? Just wondering if there are any tips? Thanks

    • @GreentopLandscapes
      @GreentopLandscapes  3 роки тому +1

      Hi Bud I don’t think I do, just find the Center of the previous laid slab and what ever spacer you are using use that to mark the start of your next row, I will do a short video for you

    Thanks to you I’ve been able to garner the confidence to lay my own patio. Which up to now has gone fantastic!
    I’ve got a cut around a inspection chamber which is fine and I’ve made the cut 3 times now with success, however when I try to lay the slabs it always seems to break at the weak points. Any tips?

    Thanks for the video, very helpful. Why is PQC so much better than the MOT type 1 stuff?

    • @GreentopLandscapes
      @GreentopLandscapes  4 роки тому

      Hi bud well in theory its just a lean mix concrete but it will form a beam over the MoT if there was a failure and your bedding muck will adhere better, I use the term PQC as its a concrete suitable for paving its just anothee way of saying it but some dont like me saying it as they see things different but times change, be safe. mate

    You wouldn't put type 1 down in your house so use a concrete pad for porcelain outside its more expensive but it's the right way and use a decoupling membrane as well a a ditra.

      Na mate. Bought specialists blade for stihl saw, edges chip. Using water bottle and tried with hose. Bought a rail saw, rubi!!! Went through 3 blades in about 30 cuts for copes on wall. Returned saw stating my rights from sales of good act and was given refund on saw. Why don’t you do a video showing multiple cuts? Would be very interested to see?

In feet I'm afraid 12ft x 9ft I have several questions please, what thickness tile would I need to hold a rattan patio set. I have heard the expression rivand what does this refer to. Please after compacting the soil do I then spread the P.Q.C base and compact? What depth of P.Q.C would be required? Slurry mix is for back of tile S.D.R + Cement what mix please? The base mix is 5 sharp sand 1 cement ? When creating fall what sort of drop in m.m s please. Thank you very much I will continue to watch your very informative videos
