OBS studio is great free software to use for streaming and recording, you can also record yourself cicking that subscribe button on my channel as well as like button with it, also doing that would mean a lot to me since it just showes me that my content can be worthy of your time, and if you did I deeply thank you bud!

I was looking for a fix for STALKER, this one does not work as it doesn't consider STALKER a window and STALKER is a pain in ass if you put in in windowed so I couldn't test that, however the game will work if you use display capture.
Can you help? It works but when i turn me Minecraft into full-screen mode it turns black again
Like on the recording it self or just whenever ju switch between tabs, for me it used to do that, that whenever I have the minecraft full screen its visible on the recording and OBS studio but whenever I would have switched the tab the recording would appear black as well as the preview on OBS, did yiu check your recordings?
Whats actually working is window capture, not game capture, which is taking more resources from your computer.
Game capture might take more resurces, didn't really bother to check at the time since it wasn't really relevant to my case, but this tutorial just shows how to capture windows that generaly wouldn't appear as a option like games and ect..

Man, I fixed this issue in my OBS, but only inside it because this problem is occuring in twitch now. Even more, it's only troubling with RimWorld (I don't own the official game), but other steam games Twitch haven't this black screen.
Do I need buy the official game? Or change my Twitch streaming configs?
I honestly didnt use the offical version of Undertale in the video so that shouldt be a problem, does this occur when you stream only or also when you just screen record?

Occur in twitch, when start Streaming. Inside OBS everything is recording fine, but, only streaming unofficial RimWorld I get black screen in my Twitch channel.
@@RyukenRK I know you probably heard that a lot, but do you think that the issue might be in screen settings inside the game for example windowed, fullscreen, or boarded screen mode? Have you tried switching between these modes?

? If i go on windowed mode i can only record my chrome tab, not my game, and no, it doesnt automatically change to the game after putting a game capture in the sources
In that case, it's something else that is an issue. Have you tried it with fullscreen mode or any other mode? I doubt that's gonna fix it but it's kinda weird that it doesn't show up as an option, does it show up as an option in the game capture?

Thats odd, maybe if you upload the screenshot somewhere like on reddit and send me the Link I could maybe help you fix the problem or atleast tell you what could be the issue on your computer that couses the "error" to appear, or if someone Else notices the post then they can help you to reslove the problem to

Thats weird, either something is wrong with game or maybe graphica drivers, what about screen capture, is your screen capture working correctly? If not then there might be an issue with OBS Studio that you have installed at the moment or your graphics card doesnt work correctly, if you have enough Strong CPU, the recording can be done throught the CPU too with using diffren video encoder by Nvidia or AMD, and set it in Windows to open this app using CPU rather than gpu or the other way around If thats the case, hope this fixes it, but yellow bars are definetly a progress from the Black screen I suppose, which Means we are going in the right direction with fixing the thing, hope this helps

Have you tried installing it in portable mode? This Just installs OBS studio into a seperate folder, acting as a brand New Fresh install, unlike Just re-installing obs studio the normal way, this one doesnt install already installed plugins on your computer that might be faulty and has a higher chance of working in case if some other program is interfeering with it, hope this helps

Yes, well its not necesary since it usally still detects it, but in order for you to record or stream the game then the app/game must stay open

"Actually I found the answer to this! You have to go into your privacy settings and allow OBS access to your files."

Then you probably have to instal the obs studio in portable mode, you can easily find a toturial for it when searching in UA-cam
